  1. No clue. I just know that the rule didn't appear in the voting thread until today when it was locked and now it's gone.
  2. I believe it's because Ecc forgot the standard rule that only GoH members who joined before the contest are allowed to vote.
  3. Yeah, I have my latinum. But I prefer bad puns over grammar lessons.
  4. In the main story the Drow have been an ally to the Spire from the very beginning. The logical continuation of Revolwords alliances. A smart High Council supporter would not attack the Desert King when he's already planning to leave Kaliphlin with most of his troops. My foe's foe is not automatically my friend. Despite a few hard core Nocturnians who believe the Spire would increase their power, nobody in Historica should have a serious interest in joining Lord Ravage. Or the Drow.
  5. You should join our Cause in Nocturnus in Guilds of Historica. That keep is splendid, really stunning work. And I must say I like the darker vegetation around the castle more than the brighter side of the diorama. Great arrangement of colours.
  6. Thumbs up Captain! Great work with the choice of colours and engines.
  7. Same! Really love that one. It seems BoP ships fit perfect for BlackTron. While I find every corner of it wonderfully shaped, my favourite is probably that dome piece at the stern. That really adds something to it. I wished I had that ship right now to swoosh around
  8. Ah I like that Guy! That one pic looks like he's more afraight of us than we of him. Those eyes are my favourite part, brilliant! Also wonderful colour choice for the ground.
  9. This is a great layout. The soil is good, the vegetation is fine, water fits well (especially the way the waves are breaking at the shore) and your photographing is of a good quality. I'm glad you joined Historica.
  10. That's the kind of castle that makes me want to build my own. While it's of course a tremendous build, it is not derogative to call it a smaller keep. That's exactly the size I love the most, especially with the amazing interiour. As a child I would have loved to play with it all day. And I like that "Drawer rooms" idea we saw from Littlejohn earlier, great execution of that. A highlight are definitely the many windows. Cannot wait to enjoy the other three versions.
  11. I'm fine with that. Gives enough time to bring personal stories forward.
  12. Otherwise it would be fun if we were allowed to make a new character/band of soldiers for this challenge. That way I could finally use my Kaliphlin Figs again. "Kaliphlin and Beyond" means that Mitgardians and Avalonians also have to come to Sultan's Gate?
  13. But you don't expect us Nocties really coming all the way down to Sultan's gate just to march all the way back then? Anyway my heart is singing by these news.
  14. Second that! Everyone allying with the Drow is a traitor to all of Historica.
  15. I always wonder what you Avalonians will do, once all the land has been handed out.
  16. Haha you should be judge in some reality show- brick factor or eurobricks next top mocer. I agree that you improved. I still prefer real bricks, but nobody can say there isn't any effort needed for LDD because it takes hours to design builds like this. So I will pretend it would be a real moc. The line of houses is nice and fits well into Avalonia. And it gives the viewer the feel it would be indeed a large city, not only a single house somewhere in desolation. That's a good start point, as others havecsaid you ahould work on details now. Advantage of digital builds is that you can try out new things on this file instead of making a whole new thing. Try some SNOT for the half timbered houses, e.g. to frame the windows. Just look at real medieval buildings and see how this architecture works in reality, e.g. how are the border of wood and stone? What looked medieval streets like? Well you said you said your city is clean, so tiles wold be a good thing To depict cobble stone.
  17. I remember that I was totally in love with your tree technique in that former build. Great to see it again. And it seems to be perfect for birch trees, since the darker areas have a wonderful irregular shape which looks very natural, also the bark is very crook and crumped. Not only that you have wonderful story righting. I really enjoyed the character description. Only minor flaw for me is that a black or very dark background would have fitted better for the camp at night setting. But 'm no expert. I tried it once and sucked at it.
  18. Hello Luckpat, welcome in Historica! I'm totally in agreement with everything Milo said. The exciting thing is to try new things you've never done before. But you should choose your guild depending on your personal taste and preferences, not only because of your collection. At some point you'll have to expand your collection anyway. So read the first posts of the guild pages and look at some builds and then decide what is the right guild for you. If you're into middle asian/arabian architecture then kaliphlin of course is the best choice. But if it's more european middle ages, you probably better fit into Avalonia ( or take Kaliphlin and settle down at the border to Avalonia). Northern european/viking/ anglo saxon or anything that needs a cold snowy landscape would be Mitgardia. If you want all of this, something totally different or simply pure fantasy come to Nocturnus. We have no restrictions).
  19. That is one awesome dragon. Every part fits perfectly, especially on the head. I love the eyes. And cheers for using the back of the head in combination with the helmet on the minifigure (if I see correctly). Because of the helmet it really looks like a face and not like tattooes anymore.
  20. That's an awesome pie! Really cool stuff. Hope to see it again in future stories.
  21. Great layout! I really like how you arranged the vegetation and figs.
  22. That ice/river is gorgeous! I would love to see a better pic of this. The plitted building is wonderful too. Very neat idea.
  23. Great tower. But I think I like the wooden top even more than the walls. The highlight is definitely the tree. I'm surprised how well lavender goes with standard green. Though I like the layout of the base I'm not sure about the brown border. Maybe it's my personal taste but I would have found green a better choice.
  24. Oh your fire mages are back- great! I really love how well those ice claws work. The fire wall is also a great highlight.
