More of Skavenport! Skavenport Brewery and Bakery -
The Streets Of Skavenport Skavenport Furrier The great miracle of large cities is what holds together the jumble of dirt and noise and lunacy. Despite the heartfelt closeness between its inhabitants and their love for the city, the one thing that held together Skavenport was beer. And the finest beer to be found was the Skaven Ale. But only a few larger breweries were allowed to call their mixture Skaven Ale, strictly regulated by purity laws and selection of only the finest ingredients. Brewing day always followed baking day, when yeast still filled the air in the houses. The workers were in good mood and many a song could be heared throughout the city: The houses are filled by taste of bread so every man can tell its time to malt and cook and brew to have our Skaven Ale it keeps your heart warm and means you no harm our finest Skaven Ale! Once an old king layed down to die his devious heir enjoyed a jug full of ale and marrow came back made him raise and speak to him "there is still time to make a new son more worth to be a king!" And when my lady the day has come for me to say farewell slaughtered by axe, or stabbed by sword enchanted by a spell keep your last kiss cause all I miss will be the Skaven Ale! Such and many other ribald verses they sung, and they became very popular not only in Nocturnian taverns.

Somewhere in the great forests of Avalonia..
Jacob Nion replied to Sir Gillian's topic in Guilds of Historica
The water technique works great here. Lovely bridge! -
Great tasks! That should satisfy everbodie's bounty hunter desires. I don't question your choices of species and planets, but I'm wondering why so many targets can be found on Endor, especially now at this time period when there should be an infamous massive weapon under construction. Maybe slaves of the empire? And a tusken outside of Tatooine and then on a peaceful planet like Naboo seems unlikely too. But I guess it's upon us to write a reasonable story.

[Frozen Beyond, Cat C] AppleCalypse Now!
Jacob Nion replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Guilds of Historica
I don't know what to say. There's so much going on to enjoy. It reminds me somehow of The Beatles' Yellow Submarine, I'm sure Algus couldn't stand the power of music and would flee in panic like a bunch of blue meanies (he, in some way they are blue meanies). Great and colourful scene with a lot of creativity. And those rabbit gloves are as cute as always.- 25 replies

Pull out rooms! Never saw something like that before, great idea! The interiour is wonderful. And the outside perfectly fits in between your other town buildings. Katoren is blessed with such a lovely inn.

AoM Inn Phase I: It’s never too cold for an ale
Jacob Nion replied to Puvel's topic in Guilds of Historica
Funny idea for phase I. Really a neat little wagon. About the photography: a light tent would be a very good investment. They are affordable for little money and you will see a big improvement immediately. And two daylight lamps with the same strenght.I bought one tent when I started with GoH and I'm still satisfied with the results. Some of my photos are still crappy, but at least it works well enough that I can show my stuff without yellowing and light reflexions. -

Beware! Wars have been fought for less than such rude words. But it seems that brave Lord Vladivus all too easy forgets his own connection to Avalonia. -
Great village. You definitely got that northern viking look into it. And the story will be interesting to follow.

Creative idea and pwrfect result of depicting it. I jusf wonder why the ballista isn't also made of skeletons?

I really like how filled up the different rooms are with all the goods. The walls do feel very Kaliphlinian. Only complaint I can tell is about the street . Though Barca is blessed with enormous wealth and impressive architectural wonders it feels to me that it's too plain and perfect. A texture that makes you see separate bricks would be a great addition. But overall a great build.

[Frozen Beyond, Cat A] Water does not stop them!
Jacob Nion replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Guilds of Historica
I really like the edge of ice and soil. You can feel how the two sides are fighting for every step. And the building is excellent. There's this classic castle touch I like. Great entry!- 24 replies

Guilds of Historica New Member Guide
Jacob Nion replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
I guess not. But I would guess that we better not put to much story into the plane corners of the map, since it seems to be some kind of npc area where the game makers settle the main story (revolword saga e.g.. wasn't thr big final taking place in Cedrica?). But Nocturnus does not end at the Rakath! We could need some mocs about the fallen angel to make clear it belongs to the east. -

That would be great. Shall we pm you for being named on the front page? Hello Steward. Welcome to the toughest guild of Historica. And to avoid the tree huggers from claiming to be best guild, by tough I mean that Noctutrnus has the fewest members and therefor a hard time catching up with the others. And of course our members are the toughest living in a land of flesh eating plants and abominations behind every corner. -
Guilds of Historica New Member Guide

I thought the political situation in Historica is similar to medieval european states, especially German regions. Where the king is elected by thd greatest lords and the overall leader to whom the lords owe loyalty. But his power is only as strong as his own domains allow. So he doesn't has that much influence of the guild's politics because they are too mighty. But nevertheless it's clearly a gap that we don't know much about Cedrica. It was said in the Kaliphlin Challenge that Cedrica is similar in size to Petraea. It's strange that nobody ever visited the city. Every wanderer and meant who travels between the guilds should logically be forced to stop at Cedrica. Beside that I could imagine the lands between the guilds and around the city as great desolation and wildernis. Like Eriador in Tolkien's Middleearth. A few isles of civilization but mainly uninhabited nature without roads. -

We take the mace, thanks. I don't mind that there's material for the other guilds, the halloween series was totally for Nocturnus. I could imagine that winged helmet for Mitgardia. Some kind of valkyrie. And it reminds me of Heimdall. -
I love how you do a different design for the swamps every time and still having it look similar enough to recognize it as one landmark. And the mangrove like trees are excellent. I also like that boat very much.

Great work. It's nice to see Kaliphlin's hot landscape again. That well is especially a good touch.

Great style of architecture. I like the scale of the buildings. While the base is small, it looks really like a scenery in a larger town. Good job on the water too.

There's an overall score of the guilds that will be updated once book II is finished. By having your free builds scored you gain your guild some points. -

But then we stll need Z to update the frontpage. The irony is that he's probably too busy by working on the Nocty challenge. Ok everyone. If anybody has a settlement to be recognizeed send me a pm. I will do my best on the map and post it here. Just as advice, to collect all updates. And then others can decide how to use it. -

I believe I could do some editing on the map. But I don't know if it's not a sacrilege against Balthasar :p
