LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion
leafan replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
With the battle pack, you get 2 complete mini-builds plus some extras, They also all have cloth pieces and unique printing. You list all of these extra things with the CMFs but didn't reply to my question about the price of these things. How much extra do they cost? Also, "bargain", noun " a thing bought or offered for sale much more cheaply than is usual or expected". So what would you expect them to cost the buyer? -
@Piraten -Looks like Promobricks have an article plugging your Idea: https://www.promobricks.de/lego-ideas-the-fortress-pirates/103258/ It's in German.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion
leafan replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The 3-pack in the UK is £4.99 (or 4.95, can't remember), so that works out to 1.66 per minifigure. -
@Ecclesiastes This is great. The first picture gives me vibes of World of Warcraft, although I'm sure you were not going for that, it's a good thing to me.

@A_Goodman I really like this moc. I always think it's interesting seeing an underground area to these kinds of builds. -
I can't believe that I'm just seeing this; it's gorgeous! I can't imagine how long it took to make this. Well done! I'm a keen follower of your work.

Welcome to Eurobricks, @SleeplessNight! I am AdmiralCuriousDog on Ideas and I'm glad that you've decided to join us here. Your idea is fantastic, and the build with more pieces is very interesting to see. When I first saw your name I was jealous, because SleeplessKnight is a good play on words for a Castle fan; but then I realised that you're missing the 'K'!- 532 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion
leafan replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Absolute bargain? Are you sure about that? I understand your reasoning and although I disagree, I can see where you're coming from; but looking at what you get for (£3.50 in the UK) it isn't an "absolute bargain". Anecdotally, my non-Lego friends were shocked at even the previous price of £3 for what they called "a bit of plastic". Objectively, 1 minifigure, regardless of how well it's printed, is not worth £3.50 when you can get Lego Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack with 4 figures and two mini-builds for £12.99 retail (and I only paid £9.99 shortly after release). Not even including the mini-builds, that's 3.25 per figure. Regarding the often mentioned justifications for an increase in price, how do we know the cost or value of that? Are people just guessing that how much a back-printing costs, for example? Re: the extra parts - nobody asked for those and people aren't buying them for those parts, so TLG could ditch them and only people here would complain; not your average buyer. -
Great work, @Poor Disadvantaged. They all look so unique. I've never been into Lego Bionicle, Hero Factory and the like, but these do interest me.

What is your favorite Harry Potter Movie
leafan replied to Bellatrix's topic in Culture & Multimedia
It has to be the original, The Philosopher's Stone. The first two movies had a sort of magic (pun intended) about them that the subsequent films I felt were lacking. -
I can't wait to see how many Series 20 Vikings you end up getting. I got my first one only a few days ago, due to the current....situation.

Hello again, This week I'd like to highlight a small-medium build by one of our own members, @Master0889, 'Blue Coats Sea Watch Tower': @Master0889 had previously entered a Pirate themed Idea in the much supported Idea 'Soldier Imperial Golden Fort', so perhaps we can look forward to further Pirate Ideas from this talented creator in future. Currently the Idea lies at 672 supporters with 264 days left. With your support, it could reach 1000 votes and receive extra time to achieve full support. Please show your love.

I'm not the best person to ask for technical tips, but I can offer my opinion. As you know, overall I like it a lot, but if I were to nitpick then I don't really get along with fleshie minifigures in non-licenced themes and especially so when they're mixed with tradtional yellow. Just seems like a mis-match. Other than that, I reckon you could remove the 2nd baseplate and build a smaller body of water under the pier, if you still wanted it. If you were to make it to production, TLG would never release it with a baseplate like that and would be forced to change that part, in my opinion. In regard to the Idea not achieving the support that you thought that it would, I'd say that very few zoom through the stages. You are only a few off getting extra time at 100 votes. Then you have so much more time to build support to get the next extension, which is 1000 votes and also matches you initial target. In short, don't give up or get disheartened.

The battles of "Seagull Bay Lighthouse Imperial Fortress"
leafan replied to Delusion Brick's topic in LEGO Pirates
Congratulations @Delusion Brick. Won't be long 'til 10k :) -
A fantastic build. I really think that the inside of the Inn has atmosphere, like they could start moving at any moment in some Lego stop-motion. I also like the use of natural light, which probably helps with that feeling of life.

Oh welcome to Eurobricks @Bubis! Great build. Perhaps you saw my comment over at Ideas as AdmiralCuriousDog; but either way, welcome, and thanks for the additional photo. Today I have also added the following 4 entries... WolfPack Hideout by @DanDelie. The Mushroom House by JohnyKov (this one is here because it fits the fantasy element of Castle): Fantasy Dragon by Crossway_Studios: Castle of White Lord Afol and the Black Knights by SleeplessNight:- 532 replies
