  9. And even though the logical thing to do is stop buying them when the price gets silly... we Lego fans are afflicted with FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out). I know I am.
  10. There's been a small Pirate entry today on Ideas... The Pirate Raft by DomesticLego:

Mountain Monastery by BrickHammer: Whistling Past the Old Orc Watch Tower Through the Ancient Bog by Captain Key (which is gunning for the achievement of longest name ever): The Medieval Cottage by theLOTRbuilder: The Acropolis of Athens by AlphaBricks:
  12. They could sell 2 types. 1. As it currently is. A parent can pick up a random figure for their kid and be happy (although I do believe that they're pricing themselves out of that market now). and 2. They sell a 'set' of the complete series at a slight discount to buying individually, for those wanting to just complete their collection and be done with it.
  13. When I read your post heading I assumed it was because they're sick of pumping out the same City Police sets year after year, so this was a surprise. After reading the article, the email and the updated direct statement from TLG, I'm a little concerned and confused. I sort of understand not *advertising* the police and criminal sets, even though I think it's a bit silly. But why is The White House architecture set on there? It seems like they're taking a political leaning with that, rather than just trying to protect kids.
  14. I have literally just finished building the ship. Overall I like it. My observations... The buildable sails don't stand out as much to me as I thought they would, the skull looks great. The side-ways facing sails only look good from 1 side, naturally. The middle interior is small but you can technically fit 4 cannons inside there (so long as you don't want minifigs behind them or to move between them). The flexi elements that they use as rope don't quite look as good as actual string but it's so much easier that I'm happy with it. You even get a spare. The captains cabin is the only detailed interior that you get but you can fit a couple of minifigs in there easily (and 3 in a squeeze). Your big-fig human hand though, may struggle. I really like the new captain torso but I do wish that the other 2 crewmates were a little more unique. Another small note is that you get a rather large manual that covers both the Ship and Port House builds. The Skull Island build has it's own smaller manual. Also, I was either missing 1 reddish brown barrel or the instructions are incorrect and you're only supposed to have 1. I feel like it may be the latter. I'm glad that I purchased it. I will only buy a 2nd copy if I can get it on sale, just for the port house build.
  15. @Berthil Lovely job. I'd definitely enjoy having a beer there.
  16. I guess that's open to interpretation. Certain British soldiers wore green even in the Napoleonic era, but it's more exciting to think of them as a different nation I think. I'm going with Portugal.
  17. Welcome to Eurobricks, @A_C! Pleased to meet you.
  18. Hi everyone, Today I'd like to draw your attention to a Pirate/Imperial related Idea that is currently looking for support. The 'Green Coat Trading Fort' is an idea by a creator called Artistic Shadow (formerly hickernator), a creator whom has already reached the review stage with previous idea, 'Queen - The Miracle Express', so clearly a talented creator. Please check out the below summary and if you like it, support now over at Lego Ideas: I know that this is a little different to the regular Ships and Outposts that are normally posted, but it relates to both Pirates and Imperials (Green Coats in this case! (psst - what nation would that be in your headcanon?)) and I think it's a wonderful design. It can also appeal to fans of Castle, I'm sure. So if you like to support this Idea and not only help Artistic Shadow to get their 2nd review-stage Idea, but also give TLG another hint that the Pirate theme is here to stay, then please support this now.
  19. Furthermore, lockdown has given me the chance to search for Ideas that I may have missed when creating this topic. I now belatedly present... Imperial Fort by Cube Brick: English Fort by Klarinik:
  20. This is fantastic. Are you planning on submitting this to Lego Ideas at all?
  21. Lovely work @Brixtof! Well done.
  22. @HarrisBricks This is fantastic, well done! If I had to dream what an ideal classic space layout would look like, this would be very close.
  23. Wow, @Celloguy, this is very unique. I think that you've done a great job. Well done.
  24. Today I have added the following entry to the index. The Kraken by steveiuliano (@siuliano): And a video for the Idea:
