  1. Hello dear friends I was looking about methods to build side rods on steam locomotives. I found the custom ones on Trainedbricks. But I also found another piece, which quite a bunch of people use on there MOCs. What is this for a grey piece they use to connect the red bars? Is this a official LEGO piece or a custom item?
  2. I'm looking forward for more images! Very nice hull shape so far.
  3. I believe they included a captains cabin for minifigs to stand. So they need a specific height. But it looks definitely odd. (As I designed a complete brick-built-hull-ship for myself) I can say that most of the bricks are going to build the hull itself. So in this case it is appropriate that the Creator ship looks smaller than a "normal" Pirate ship for 100$ because it is not using any prefab hull pieces. And a hull needs many bricks. As far as I can see on the blurry leak image, there are two cannons on each side. So the dream of three cannons popped. The figurehead seems to have red hair and a green tail. So maybe it's a minifig.
  4. I'm sorry. I was not able to see the ship. I only translated the blog for the rest of the world. But I assume since it's Creator and they say colorful I could imagine that it is a brick-build mermaid or a minifig mermaid in new colours.
  5. Yes. 4 Minifigs. And he says that it is beautiful designed and that we will like it.
  6. New (and old) Infos about the 31109 Creator Pirate ship: Original Text in German here on stonewars.de: The pirate ship will be around 45 cm long (10 cm shorter than Destiny's Bounty 70618) Price tag: 99,99€ All brick-built, including sails The sail was build out of memory. The Skull is improvised. It should look different like the original sail. But it should give a direction. A colourful figurehead in the form of a mermaid A brick-built shark Several Classic Pirate Minifigs B,C-Models: Pirate Tavern and Pirate Island
  7. As far as i can see are the shock absorbers going completely trough the skirt up to the handlebar. I hope the new damped shock absorbers will be long and thin ones like the 9.5L: Otherwise it would look weird. I'm so excited to use them in my buggy.
  8. So if it has to fit in a City dock it will have a flat bottom. I am curios about the plates they will use. I hope a few bigger ones. I wonder how many cannons they will place in on each side (or even if) because everyone talked about the sails and the minifigs but nothing about the cannons . Speculation: A LEGO-set ship this size could have maybe 2-3 hatches on each side and 3 cannons overall. I would more like to see 6 cannons, 3 for each side. But I did not find more details on it.
  9. Hmm. I love it!
  10. It is very nice to have you back. I appreciate your work and I'm a bit jealous. ;) I wonder what Held der Steine would say about this model if once finished. :D
  11. An unspectacular title with a spectacular model behind.
  12. Very interesting what the guy of the LEGO House says at Minute 1:50 after Joshua mentioned that the Pirate Theme is still very popular.
  13. Switches and more curves. This sounds very pleasant to me! I browse more often than I want through your Product Page on your website @coaster. I would so much buy R120 curves. But I have NO Room for these behemots :D And I really love this test mold of the switch.
  14. I also put a lot of thinking in this topic. But I never understood why the motors are so 'bad'. But now you mention this it makes sense. Because Lego can't demand from kids and parents for lubricating the axles of their Technic Sets like I do it with my highspeed Buggy. :D So TLG have to bring save products (sets but also motors in general) without this modifications necessary we AFOLs do. And this excludes strong and fast motors. As much as it hurts to say this. Overall this Rallye Car is fast enough for me for a Lego Set. But it is definitely to much money for what you get (2 DinA4 Sticker sheets :P). This is a very small car. 80€ or even 90-100€ would be OK. But not for this price tag (Yes the price will fall. But if it would be cheaper from start it could be cheaper with sales again...).
  15. Very beautiful!! This size is amazing.
  16. One question. HOW?? :D :D Would it be ok to share the digital file with us?
  17. Very nice. This model looks beautiful!! I love the Surprise because of the POTC and the Aubrey-Maturin Novels. Wish you had more pics of the real model with higher resolution.
  18. What do you think? Of course no wheels. :D
  19. Thanks. I will do! :) The Technic Structure sits where the Orlop Deck would sit. The two rows of LBG Plate gets additional support from the Hull pieces underneath with Studs. The Goal is to build both hull pieces connect them with the middle black wall (with this huge amount of Bricks with studs on side :D) and than build on TOP of that the technic structure and the rest of the ship. The technic structure is build so that it is pull and push resistant. So theoretically I could carry the ship from above (if the clutch power of the wheather deck would hold) and the weight of the hull pieces can be carried and do not rip or break off. (Thats at least the idea but of course it makes no sense to carry a ship like this...)
  20. Amazing. Where do you have all this torsos from? I see them for the very first time. nearly all of them.
  21. It should not look selfish but I do have a idea. Just a bit bigger than yours. :) More images on my image hosting platform.
  22. BEEP BEEP *Bump* Hello Fellows. Thank you so much for you feedback and interest. It was a stupid idea from me to build a MOC of that size. The problem is I really want to build it. But I'm to young (21) to have enough money >1500€ for that at once. So I have to wait a few years. :) But besides that, the hull is far from ready to start to build it. I have not much experience with the behavior of the bricks when I just fill it with bricks like a normal wall I'm concerned that the hull will bend and torque. It should have more of a stable skeleton structure (to save bricks). And there is the problem because I have no Idea how to solve this problem. I know the best would be to built it IRL. So I decided to share the Files with you. Maybe you can take a look on it. The full ship is there for orientation to see, where the hull parts I edit will sit. You can drag and drop them out in Studio 2.0. On the left side I already started my try. But I'm not happy with the results. Maybe you can take a look. :) (LDR files can be opened in Studio as well. 100% compatible) The dimensions are within the area I built in. the top part where the black tiles start are not the problem for me so you dont have to bother with this area. Just the general inner structure. Full_Ship.io Hull_LEFT_Side.ldr Hull_RIGHT_Side.ldr Thanks and greetings.
  23. Very cool looking house. Is there an interior?
