    I found resources of historical Mast thickness in comparison to the thickest part of the hull. I tested 3x3 masts. But they are too thick. The 2x2 are the only one fitting from the thickness. I tested it with calculating the values. 2x2 masts are the perfect thickness for my hullwidth. I recommend this book as a source. It's made for model builders but it works perfectly for lego builders. I know there is a english version of this book but can't find it at the moment. I'm happy that you like my cannons :) @all I've updated the part count in the last update post. Take a look. I have decided to build this ship when I finished my bachelor in two and a half years. This is why: :) A few wallpapers from Studio 2.0. Yes! I managed to get all files on one. I needed two hours for this. I hope you like them anyway. (The hoses on bow and stern are not actually there because Studio can't indetify LSynth parts.)

    I bought the 5978 two weeks ago and I love it so much. It will be one of my alltime favourites ever. I really love your version of the sphinx. And I like the idea that you gave to the classic figures a new style. I really like the rockwork around the sphinx. Tries to nuance the raised baseplate. You are missing a snakepit . @Peppermint_M Are you planning to expand your MOC with a 5988 version? I would be very much looking foward for your version. And pls don't forget the hot air balloon.

    I scrolled trough my 1998 LEGO Catalog. And on one page there was a little picture of a truck with the name 5571"Black Cat" Muscle Truck. It was a big truck. And I loved it, so I went on BrickLink and my eyes were rolling out of my head when I saw the prices. So I tried Part Out. And they wanted 100€ for a sticker sheet. Why? Is there a story behind them? I know that the model team sets are beloved around TLC but I was too young to realize this. I just can't explain that prices.

    It's a shame that this beauty has to be an ideas submission. Sets like these should be on shelves since 9 years. Do you have looked that all parts are available in their respective colour? I would rebuild something smiliar to this if lego does not produce it.

    I never saw all reviews on one place. So I am really happy to that this is existing. I never really got in touch with these Classic Themes. But I start to love them. And I love Light Gray now more than LBG. It's more pleasant to the eyes. I think the forbidden island is my favourite of the pirate sets A little bit off-topic but you know what I am talking about TrixBrix. :) I finally got the 5988 from the Adventurers theme yesterday. Now I have 5 expect of 2995, 2996, 5919, 5948 and 5958.

    I made a Tutorial how to build 3x3 and 4x4 masts which are sturdy enough and are opened for modifications and tapering. Take care that all gear tooth are aligned Every track has to be on the same height. Put 1x6 Tiles over two tracks all around. Put the tiles offset for more stability between the axle connectors! 3x3 mast (without the tiles) And the same goes for a 4x4 mast:

    Yeah I do also find the best Ideas for my MOCs when I'm doing something else like sleeping, jogging or driving in the car. And your castle looks so fantastic. You should not be ashamed of it! I have none and I wish so much, just to have the tower of yours. :/ Keep up that great work!

    I found a seller who would give me the 5978 for 100€. The Box and bags are opened but in a new condition. The tent is perfect new. Also he has added the Lego Catalogue from 1998 I think and one of this little old papers, where you could buy spare parts at this time. The box looks very good for me and has shelf wear. Compared to other prices it is quite cheap for a like-new set but it is anyway high for ~300 parts. I'm not so deep in buying classic sets. So to get a realistic view of a price is quite hard and what I can expect and what not. A rebrick on BL would cost me 100€. (all used; Box incl., Inst. incl., without S&H-fee which will get higher) What do you think?

    I hoped they do not go the same way Lego is going for the pricetag. But they did. I can't back it because I have no credit card. I asked my friend who is also a big AFOL. He does also have no credit card. Why the hack only this payment option??

    So. Since everybody is making party in their forums for the new sets released I can't wait longer to ask following: If anybody is catching anything (e.g. on a coming Toy Fair) if there are Pirates sets coming for Summer 2019. Feel free to share with us!

    ARRRRRR!!! Welcome to EB! Your fort looks really amazing. I like the thick walls. Look very realistic. Your queen annes revenge is very dusty but the sails are in a very good condition which is nice. I do also have very big dust problems in my room. :) Looking forward to see the harbour docks and shipyard. I hope you will build a crane on the docks as well.

    Ah. I see you missunderstood me. I meant originally the -Shock Absorber 9.5L (Extra Hard Spring)- of the 9398 . Same with the German Lego catalogue. It's just available since one week or so while all others had it since beginning of the year. So I do not have hopes for the app to come earlier. But hopefully when it comes, it will be able to be customized like the Buwizz App.

    But what for kind of shock absorbers would you expect then? The short ones will not fit for a crawler

    Hopefully the 4x4 Crawler has new shock absorbers of the longer versions. This would be very awesome.

    I am very concerned since I am displaying my Old Fishing Store near a window since November 2018. Thinking about to dismantle it and store it in bags. :/

    You're correct. It is properly. I stood next to many machines and tractors with double wheels. Could put my hand with the width between the wheels. I think it has to do with that the space between the tires is needed when they have to carry much wheight, the side will bulge out. I hope this is correct vocabulary...
