I completely agree with you so please feel free to continue posting castle stuff here, everybody! Why not. I don't know if lots of people still enjoy reading long texts nowadays though and as you mentioned, it may take some time... I fear this is the direction we're going in as Instagram is becoming a place where more and more AFOLs/TFOLs share their work. It would be great to try to raise awareness in this topic. I'm not sure if the staff members would let me open a new topic for this as this isn't directly associated with Lego... We could instead post real buildings in the same post with MOCs. I'm very glad that some people are contributing to this topic in a great way as this topic wouldn't be the same without you guys! Please feel free to share MOCs! I wanted to reply this at the end of this post to draw attention. I'm thinking about this since a few months. This is a great idea and it would probably be unique as I haven't seen lots of blogs which are focused in older MOCs. I'm only concerned about the time and especially if it could be difficult to promote it to make it popular. About promoting it, there's the option of opening an Instagram account but I'm not a big fan of the idea of sharing other's creations and getting way more likes by just highlighting it than the MOCer who puts so many efforts into his MOC... Nevertheless, I would really love to hear what everybody thinks about this whole idea!

    I’m more into MOCs than official sets but I was interested in official sets when I came out of my dark ages and slowly started to see some mind-blowing MOCs so became more interested in MOCs and perhaps a bit less interested in official sets that aren’t enough advanced. I think this is the case of almost every AFOL who became a MOCer. So I think there should be an equilibrium between MOCs and official sets. The spotlight on for subforums would be nice as there are a few of them seeming to become less active than before... I think it would be great to make the Embassy forum more active for example... Thanks, that’s really kind! I’d rather prefer this topic to be frontpaged though if I needed to choose one topic of mine to be frontpaged (this was featured but not frontpaged)... Keep up the great work everybody! By the way, without having any intentions to offend anybody especially the great staff of Eurobricks, I was wondering if it would be better to have add some new staff members as some staff members don’t seem to have time to be active anymore... Not replacing staff members, just adding new ones... No bad intentions, just a personal opinion...

    You’re not alone... Heck yes, this would be awesome! And what about a modular Lego store? There have been some great MOCs of it, I’d love to see an official modular Lego store! EDIT: Just remembered that we had a toy store (two with th re-release) in the Winter Village sub-theme...

    Maybe we can start to post real buildings as inspiration here? I mean, both MOCs (modulars and castle) and real buildings (not including medieval buildings). And in the inspirational MOCs topic in Historic Themes, we could also post both MOCs (modulars and castle) and real buildings (only medieval buildings)... Or no differences between these topics at all? What do you guys think? I would really appreciate @Bricked1980, @Digger of Bricks, @koalayummies, @paupadros, @Roger_Smith and anybody else’s thoughts if you have any! Sorry for the mentions by the way...

    Same here! I wonder when it could to be revealed if not tomorrow, perhaps the 29th of November (just as the Downtown Diner)? But I would really prefer tomorrow as I literally can't wait to see how it looks anymore...

    Best Theme: Creator Expert Best Minifigure/Figure: Party Clown Guy from the CMF Series 18. Best Set: Downtown Diner, honorable mention to the Pop-Up Book and to Ninjago City Docks. Worst Theme: I don't know enough themes to tell this. Worst Minifigure/Figure: I don't know enough minifigs from 2018 to tell this. Worst Set: All the sets with unreasonable prices. Most Anticipated for 2019: The new modular! Runner up Benny’s Space Squad.

    I think this was mentioned by someone before but not sure so I'll mention it again; I think more importance should be given to the front page and featuring topics. For instance, I spot some amazing MOCs on several different themes that deserve being featured/front-paged in my opinion and more announcements of Lego sets such as the Lego Movie 2 wave. Also, showing that Eurobricks is still an active community, that members are having fun, that it's open to new members is what's going to convince more members to come!

    How come this topic didn’t receive any replies?! This is incredible! I really like some details like the thread link bridge, the entry which I guess was inspired by @Barthezz Brick... But the whole thing is really impressive, the roof, the tower on the top and everything else! Also, it’s great to se you got a Flickr account, I think there will be more people replying to this topic if you also post the photo... Anyway, amazing stuff, keep it up!

    Hi everybody,

    I'm thinking about creating a similar topic to my Inspirational Modular and Castle MOCs in Historic Themes too to show inspiration to people who don't visit Town forum where I initially started running my Inspirational Modular and Castle MOCs topic. I wouldn't like to make the main idea too different however a few differences between these two topics wouldn't hurt. 

    So, does anybody have any ideas and suggestions about how I could make these topics different? I know that I could stop posting castle MOCs there but I feel like almost every good modulars and other town related MOCs have been posted there. So any ideas/suggestions really appreciated! :classic:

    There are some amazing sets here but to be honest, most of the prices are just too high in my opinion. That’s quite disappointing because there are sets that would have made great part packs and sets with some sweet builds and minifigs/minidolls. Too bad, Lego does the contrary of what they should do to appeal to more people. At least there are some sets with great builds like Rex’s Rexplorer, Emmet and Lucy’s Escape Buggy, Pop-Up Party Bus (I bet @Digger of Bricks would have bought this even if the price was 300$) and Benny’s Space Squad (thanks god it’s only 10$ and is incredibly worth its price). Such great sets, I think it’s a pity giving these sets so high prices and prevent people who may not be able to afford all the sets they want to have...

    So quite some people (@AntiKragle, @Bricked1980, @Digger of Bricks, @AFOLguy1970, @DeanLearner, @just_one, @Drunknok and myself) like the idea of a concert hall/theater with an elegant façade. Coincidentally, I’ve just remembered that my favorite Art Nouveau building was a theater and a music hall! If I recall correctly, they should have already started working on the 2020 modular and we still don’t have any information about 2019 modular except the Twitter message...     I was thinking about the questions I got about the “Non-Modular” so I thought it would be easier that way! I’m also thinking about creating a similar topic in the Historic Themes as there are some great members who don’t seem visiting Lego Town. This would certainly make a lot of castle fans happy (myself included), so fingers crossed for the 10.000 supporters mark! Even though I’m not a huge fan of the inn, I just love the color scheme he used! Thanks so much for reminding me that guy as I’ve completely forgotten his builds!
