Nice building! No, I didn't see it, thanks for sharing! There are photos of it on Flickr too, but there were more on Brickshelf... Absolutely! Just post inspirational MOC's, that's the most important For the rest, I agree, @paupadros and @snaillad are two of my favorite MOC'cers and you can see them mentioned in this topic where I asked to my favorite MOC'cers how they were designing modulars and as they're so kind, they took time to respond! Me (we) too! Thanks! Me too! That's for sure! I prefer thousand times the 666 Market Street to the MS Today's one of the three staff picks is in a very similar style too!

Another great MOC! I love everything about it, especially the bossage, the color scheme, the architecture and the interior is packed with a great amount of details, as always! How can you do so great work in such a short time! I started to love more your 16 wide buildings than the 32 wides, maybe that’s because you don’t use so difficult techniques and generally quite ordinary pieces but it looks so great and that encourages me so much for making MOC’s! I really hope seeing more 16 wide buildings by you! I know, that may sound a bit silly but did you think about posting one (or more) of your 16 wide MOC’s to Ideas?

I decided to post three staff picks everyday after the trial period of this thread as it took me too much time to find MOC’s in a specific architectural style. @Digger of Bricks, you can continue to post MOC’s like you’re posting, you don’t need to change anything. Hope other people will start posting their favorite MOC’s too I would like to highlight three things for the people who want to use the new system: -Staff picks will be posted at the end of day. -Staff picks can be in different architectures. -There will not be any particular order for posing staff picks. I’ll post staff picks of yesterday that I couldn’t post. Today, the staff picks will be posted at the right time, not 15 hours later like now Staff picks of 12/02/18: ~Modular Car Wash by @kevin8 ~666 Market Street by @Aliencat ~The small blue building of the Modular Pedestrian Street by @Brickenberg Congrats to all these MOC’cers, I hope @kevin8 will continue to making MOC’s, I especially hope seeing one unique corner building which are his specialities These MOC’s are gorgeous! You’re welcome!

How to Design a Modular or a Non-Modular Building?
LegoModularFan replied to LegoModularFan's topic in LEGO Town
Many thanks @kjm161, @jalemac34 and @Palixa And The Bricks for taking time to write! Your MOC’s are awesome! I’m so happy to have discovered another great MOC’cer, be sure if I make any other lists mentioning my favorite MOC’cers, you (and @Sir Stig) will be mentioned too Didn’t expect this thread would also let me discover new great MOC’cers... That seems very interesting. May try that! You’re very welcome! I understand quite a lot the techniques used for a modular when I look carefully if it’s not too difficult, I also like exploring myself new techniques by trying... But I already found some tutorials and I’ll look for more if a great MOC’cer recommended it to me That’s important, thanks for precising it! Nice to see I chose the correct people to include on my list- 93 replies

Here are the top Art Nouveau MOC’s IMO with no particular order: 1. This elegant New Century Corner by @Pate-keetongu! 2. This great French inspired Egyptian Museum by Italovergnat that you can support on Ideas! See updates for rendered images. 3. This and this MOC’s based on real buildings by @pj_bosman, still can’t believe how he captured well the architecture! 4. This crazy shaped Casa Baron by Paul Hetherington! 5. This building and Teteven Hotel in Russe inspired by real buildings by @thomassio, you can easily see how much effort is put to the façade for the details! 6. This building again inspired by a real building by @Wineyard, really love the depth on the façade! 7. Nespresso Boutique and Bar by @jalemac34, amazing big window! 8. Watchmaker’s House with a crazy façade by @Pakita! 9. is: what a great luxury looking MOC! What do you think about those modulars? Which ones are your favorites? Would you buy if TLG made a similar modular? Me, I would buy at least ten if they make! Kudos to all the people mentioned here, they were courageous enough to make MOC’s from one of the hardest architectures to reproduce from Lego!

I agree, it’s very difficult to wait to build a modular and especially if you’re a modular fan and an impatient guy like me But I still prefer taking my time to build a modular because what are you going to do when you have built all the official modulars? Two options: MOC’cing a modular if you’re a MOC’cer If you’re not a MOC’cer, waiting until the next modular. Definitely not an excellent solution

Great MOC selections you provided here @Digger of Bricks, those are awesome MOC’s! I already knew them except the Basilisk, that looks awesome! Also surprised to see how the tall tower and modular bank use the color scheme... I didn’t know these neither as they’re not minifig-scale builds (which I have a bigger interest) but jeff_works is doing amazing micro builds! Also, I started to collect more great MOC’s, I’m so happy because while searching, I discover so many new great MOC’s! Stay tuned everyone

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
LegoModularFan replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Done! -
Hey guys, I decided to create this topic and the main idea came from this and this post (so special thanks to @danth and @Digger of Bricks!). I would like to highlight three things before I start to post inspirational MOCs: I’ll post three staff picks everyday! Please feel free to post your favorite MOCs! Have fun admiring and taking inspiration from those great MOCs Top three MOC’s IMO in Baroque architecture: 1. This incredible Baroque Church by @Jellyeater! 2. This amazingly detailed MOC by @pj_bosman! 3. This greatly shaped modular by @cimddwc! Here are the three best Baroque MOC’s IMO! What do you think about them? Would you buy modulars like those if TLG made? Here are the Steampunk ones: 1. This incredible layout made together by @castor-troy and @domino39 (they also made one MOD of the PR and the MS and two MOD’s of the CC included in this layout. But they look so different that they are more MOC then MOD). EB topic here and Flickr albums with more photos here, here, here and here. 2. These great Steampunk modulars by @adde51! 3. These very interesting modulars by @Zilmrud who as well made great MOD’s of the PC and the BB! Here are the three most gorgeous Steampunk MOC’s IMO! What do you think of them? Would you buy modulars like those if TLG ever made?

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
LegoModularFan replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Thanks! I didn’t support this project, I don’t like it. But steampunk is an excellent idea and there are a lot of MOC’s much better than this one. I’ll share some of them. 1. @castor-troy and @domino39 made an incredible steampunk project together (they also made one MOD of the PR and the MS and two MOD’s of the CC but they look so different that they are more MOC then MOD): https://www.flickr.com/photos/lego-castor/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/76884750@N03/ https://flickr.com/photos/140096277@N02/sets/72157665461184619 I know that @Digger of Bricks already shared caster-troy’s WIP topic but there are many more photos on their Flickr than EB. 2. @adde51 created some great steampunk modulars too: https://flickr.com/photos/124068149@N02/sets/72157677981987356 3. @Zilmrud as well created some very interesting steampunk modulars and also made great MOD’s of the PC and the BB: https://flickr.com/photos/136715026@N08/sets/72157680169877316 Here are the three most gorgeous Steampunk MOC’s IMO! What do you think about them? Would you buy modulars like those if TLG ever made? Thanks for the idea @Nexogeekand @Digger of Bricks I think I’ll create a thread like you said @Digger of Bricks, I’ll post three great MOC’s of different styles regularly as I do here and if there’s enough interest, I’ll post everyday! BTW, congrats for being Duke -
Great MOC just like all your others! The ground floor and the brick-built windows are just amazing! The grill pieces used for the roof is an ingenious idea (I can’t really see because of the light if they are grill pieces). For the interior... This might be the best interior of a modular I’ve ever seen. I wish I was living there! So many NPU, so many details packed in! I’m just speechless Chapeau.
-
No worries. In fact, I kept looking at this MOC regularly and actually it did grow on me! I really like it as whole composition! I take back my two critisms, Sir! P.S. It would be great that you make some more MOC’s in the same style to make a big square ...

What a great MOC! I love the curvings, the shape and the color scheme... You made a lot of (amazing) MOC’s these days, I wonder if you have a city, I would be very much interested in seeing it
-
Wow! Definitely didn’t expect that as your next MOC! Surprising... There are so many things I love especially your typical crazy style , the interiors, the rooflines, the tree, the atmosphere, the angled walls, the wine and the mosaic wall of the orange building! The only thing I’m not sure about are the windows, I’m sorry Pau, I’ve never been able to like those easy looking windows... Have two solutions I would try if I were you: Replacing these windows with those ones. Or using the great technique used in those MOC’s: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-10740/De_Marco/mini-modular-townhouse/#info I’m also not sure about the basic decoration around the windows for the yellow building, it looks a little bit too plain and needs a little bit more something I don’t really know how to explain IMO... Those are just according to my taste though I wonder how your Italian Villa would fit with the yellow building mirrored! Oh, it seems like an interesting idea! I hope you’ll able to render...

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
LegoModularFan replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Oh, long work! There are so many great MOC’ers out here... I already created two similar threads, one for modular MOC instructions and another where I asked to my favorite MOC’cers how they design modulars. So I have “Inspirational Modular Creators” but not “Inspirational Modular Creations” However I might reconsider that... -

Wow, just found an amazing modular by @sdrnet, this is designed for you : I’d also like seeing some modulars with architectures like: This incredible Baroque Church by @Jellyeater Amazingly detailed MOC by @pj_bosman This great shaped modular by @cimddwc I specially chose those buildings as they are in Baroque architecture which I love a lot and there are very few MOC’s made in this architecture as far as I see, and those are the most amazing MOC’s I found - top 3 IMO -
How to Design a Modular or a Non-Modular Building?
LegoModularFan replied to LegoModularFan's topic in LEGO Town
Many thanks @Delbaerov, @Sir Stig, @snaillad and @beverly888! Very helpful comments! You’re welcome! @Sir Stig Wow, your two last MOC’s are amazing! Thanks for making yourself discovered Could you list your favorite ones? That’s why your MOC’s are unique, your builds look like in real life! Yes, me too! I have a lot of ideas but didn’t know where to start (now I’m beginning to know) and that’s why I created this thread Will you make instructions for your other MOC’s as you made the Avenue Saint-Jacques and the Cocoa Hotel? I would really like to see some Art Nouveau buildings by you in (near) future (of course if you want to make any) That’s very important, thanks for raising it! Yes, a lot!- 93 replies

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
LegoModularFan replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Guys, what would really satisfy and convince you as a modular and architecture (without thinking if Lego would produce it). Just wondering. -
Yes, it is missing on my box too: I don’t have any missing pieces but I have this one extra.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
LegoModularFan replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
For sure and it would be a great modular to learn new techniques. Here is my favorite Art Nouveau MOC, @Pate-keetongu really captured the feeling and I would love to see something as a modular: Yes, just too long! Hopefully there are modular MOC’s, I can’t imagine a life without MOC’s... So being me -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
LegoModularFan replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Just found some excellent ideas by @koalayummies while searching one of my posts: “That's not a rumor, thats just a guess but I'll join because the next modular could be a police station-library-school-museum-hospital-post office-apartment building-hardware store-train station-clothing outlet-deli-pancake house-locksmith-computer repair-home furnishings store-sporting goods shop-appliance repair-jeweler-seafood-pharmacy-bicycle shop-architecture firm-lawyers office-courthouse built in gothic, neoclassical, postmodern, historicism, timber framing, tudor, Mediterranean revival, baroque and so on and so forth.” If you prefer seeing this post directly, click here. That’s already confirmed... Mike says in this interview by Zusammengebaut “It’s hard to say I can’t figure out exactly what it is that people love about the Modular Buildings and maybe it was the classic smiley-faces which I just took out... forever” I’ll hit with this post Yes, and modular Lego shop as the one we had in ideas would be great! ________________________________________ @Bricked1980, I forgot to write that I would like the new modular to be in a rare color that no modular had included... -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
LegoModularFan replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Difficult question @Bricked1980. There are many things I would like as a modular, that’s what I’ll write here. There are many architectural styles I love and I think they’ll not make another Art Deco modular as they make always different architectural buildings. I would really like to see an Art Nouveau, Baroque, Rococo and Gothic architecture even if those look impossible. I would also be very happy with two canal houses 16 wide like the PS (as written in my Negative Views about the Market Street topic by @AFOLguy1970). Know these architectures would totally clash with the DD but that’s what I would like to see. I think that the modular line still misses essential places for a city like an hospital, police station and school/university. I will also be very happy with a hotel, museum, post office and a big shopping mall with some stores, the interior of the GE doesn’t look as a real shopping mall. BTW congrats for being Citizen -
Wow, your new modular looks awesome (the only thing I am not sure about is the door on the rooftop balcony)! Can’t wait to see it finished. I think it doesn’t really work here; next to the Ice Cream Parlor it may look better?

[PRESS RELEASE] 21313 LEGO Ideas: Ship in a Bottle
LegoModularFan replied to VBBN's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Agreed, this is a Lego “Ideas” set. The Lego designer changed quite a lot the model and I prefer the final model than the fan model but it’s after all the idea of the fan designer... Jang also made a review with the 60th Anniversary Black Seas Barracuda ship in the bottle:
