  1. Thanks! Something that would be more interesting for me is to see the MS built mirrored and put with the DD. I wish I could see how it fits with some old modulars I don't own (as CC, GG, FB (which may look not bad IMO) and TH). Perhaps someone who own all the modulars may take photos and post them here... or I would wait until my big project finished-then I will become a real modular fan as I will be able to buy all those I don't own...
  2. First of all, I’m sorry for all the builders and for the people who wanted those to become official sets. But I’m personally really happy with this decision! Now I can hope for the Pop-Up book + the Boat House Diner or the Lighthouse! I know they might not select two projects in the same review but I will keep hoping I’d say the already approved project is the Pop-Up Book without any doubts, that’s a project that everyone adores! If any other projects don’t get approved, I’ll wait until the other review - and I really hope they select a real modular in the first 2018 review- the arcade which seems to reach 10 000 or one of the beautiful buildings by italovergnat or the new brilliant golden century building if they reach + the tree house which seems to reach! We (or at least me ) really need a modular from the ideas line, there are very creative ones and I just can’t wait for one year for a modular, that’s too much Anyway, for the third review, I really hope at least the Pop-Up book would be/is approved, it really deserves!

  4. Maybe you used a lot of bricks but it’s definitely not wasting bricks, it’s what makes it magical and shows your unique style Looking forward! I should say again: Your model is truly impressive and I’ll take a closer look to understand some techniques used for that! This is a very inspirational work It would be great if you make a medieval layout with making some models like this one! Cheers!
  5. Wow, can’t believe this is actually your first MOC, I wish I was as talented as you! I have no words to say, really love the cartoonish look and your clever building techniques I am not saying that for going off-topic but I’m personally a modular fan (as my username implies ) this MOC gave me an excellent inspiration, I hope I have enough time in near future to design it! I’ll be admiring this MOC for some time and I really hope seeing more MOCs by you! Thanks for sharing your beautiful work with us! Keep it up Cheers!
  6. There were some people saying that the DD was really clashing with the other modulars. At least now we know that it fits quite well with the DO, AS, blue building in the PS and the GE when these modulars are placed on the its right side! I don’t want to go off-topic but I believe that the BB is a “not-very-liked” modular (I personally like it a lot), I’m surprised how it fits well with the DD! For those who don’t own the BB, here’s a link, you can see how they fit together: https://www.brothers-brick.com/2018/01/05/10260-downtown-diner-brings-1950s-flair-creator-expert-modular-buildings-review/downtown-diner-10260-54-diner-and-brick-bank/
  7. Very nice MOC, there are so many things I love, it would be too difficult to list all of them! I especially love all the details you put on the roofs of every single building and their rooflines! You put even a lot of details on the backside of your buildings, I love that! Putting pieces on the fences to make them longer and more detailed is a very nice idea! Definitely a lot of inspiration to take from this MOC! Thanks for sharing it
  8. Thanks! They fit very well together! But the tan looks a bit boring, I fell there needs to be some more color variation. What do you think about it @Bricked1980?
  9. I really don’t like the DD sandwiched, I don’t like the gaps caused by the stairs on its left side and especially with the PR, the gap looks bigger when put like that. It works not bad when placed to its left hand side... but I still prefer it with the DO for now... because who knows, maybe the next modular would fit much better with it Yes, I would not expect it would fit so nicely with the PS! I also wonder how it would fit with the MS
  10. Love those additions! I really want to congratulate you, the first solution was very hard to find and you found it I’m personally a visible stud hater (maybe the only fan who hates studs ) so I don’t like at all the studded seating but if you put minifigs or some stuff, there will not be any problem for me! I would tile all the floors and the roofs of all the modulars if I didn’t know there’s not a better solution to waste tiles Maybe tiling the roof with 8x16 tiles and/or 6x6 tiles would not be wasting tiles though. This addition is a must have! Your foods are nice and I like it, the space seems better used like that Again a nice addition! And the story was fun as in all your MOCs/MODs Did you think about adding the Diner Waitress? I couldn’t wait, I think I’ll miss that set Do you have any photos of your DD with the GE (I don’t own the GE)? I just wonder how they look together, I thought they would not fit at all as both of them are in tan...
  11. It’s a very nice idea and I love the way you choose the bricks that one wouldn’t expect to make small and realistic details! I’m following this topic now, I really want to see how this is going to be in the end I had the same idea some time ago much before seeing this topic but I thought it would be waste of time not to wait to move (in some months) so I decided to make a project like that later!
  12. @Blk69 @RogerSmith @Faefrost Many thanks guys, now I really started to see it’s minus when compared to other modulars... I still plan to BL it by changing the things which I don’t like. I already started to have an idea about what to change (mostly thanks to you ) and how to change/which techniques to use to make it look better! But if it seems to require a lot of work and after all that work I may not be happy with it, I will not waste my time, I will instead try a MOC like @Palixa And The Bricks who made some excellent canal houses!
  13. For those who are interested, Hfmasters has a video showing the new Avengers sets in high resolution: I’m glad to have enough quality pictures to start my MOD before its release
  14. I didn’t expect less from someone who makes better modulars than TLG! I really love your MOD and prefer the version without the extra floor! I really started to want to modify my own too, did you use a lot of bricks for your collection? Could you give an approximate number of used extra bricks? Many thanks
  15. Many thanks, the photos are very clear! Your modulars keep going better, I look forward to seeing them (of course if you share them here ) You’re very welcome, your modulars are beautiful, you always squeeze two buildings together (I love that) , you find unexpected part usages to create realistic details in interior and I love your use of interiors with a lot of furnitures!
  16. Many thanks for sharing that! I love it, can’t believe, it’s an incredible set!!! IMO is the best non-modular D2C building (I speak about sets like Arkham Asylum Breakout, Joker Manor, The Simpson’s House and Haunted House) except the NC Really don’t care if it’s a modular or not, I’ll MOD it to a modular, that’s all... I feel like this set would be perfect between the PR (to its left side) and the DO (to its right side) with some modifications! I would be grateful if someone can photoshop that!
  17. Me too, I’m very interested! Do you have also some photos of Palm House and Fallout Gas Station? Thanks in advance
  18. Jang did it. I don’t know how it looks, I still prefer with the DO but why not? (Between 21:53 and 22:12) and just after, he puts it with the DO...
  19. I post often from my iPod, I think that’s why you see them small (I think you look at it on a computer). Yes, I think he could say alternate build of the NC or MOC. Agreed, it’s not great but I doubt he could make a really better one with those limited pieces, maybe a little bit... Thanks for sharing the video, it convinced me to love the DO also from the exterior!
  20. Hey guys, I found some interesting videos about the DD! First video: If you have the NC and you don’t want to buy the DD, you can... and it looks quite interesting too Second video is another video that I found about the design process of the DD, you can learn much more than the designer video: And here is again a video from the same event filmed in a different angle: And finally an interview with Mike by Zusammengebaut:

  22. Why not. But the furnitures of that City set risk to be not detailed as the furnitures of the modulars... and non lego fan customers? Would they buy it?
  23. Agree that the size of a modular is really small compared to a real building, but it would not be as fun without interior as it is now. TLG can’t make too big modulars as a lot of people will not be able to afford it, but I just love the modulars as they’re
  24. Absolutely, it's a fact, it's mentioned in the 10th anniversary video as one of the twelve modulars And that's why I'm surprised that the people don't consider it as a part of the line and why I opened this thread! BTW, I'll BL it too with changing the childish windows as I wrote above.
  25. You have always the possibility to BL it with replacing the expensive parts.
