  1. Indeed. All the more reason on why this is very risky. It'll definitely add more to the already convoluted mess. Because landmarks is quite straightforward as a lot of them are tourist spots. People visit these places for adventures or on vacation. It's not even controversial like religion. I don't think those anti fellows could even match up to what religious people can do.
  2. Well, if I'm not mistaken, my brother did bought that set from a certified LEGO store around five months ago for MYR 704.90 instead of MYR 749.90. I would guess that's due to the extra tax being removed from the price because of some changes. Third party dealers might sell them for a smidge-bit less too though that would have to depend on whether they are running a discount at the time.
  3. I've just took a quick read at the Modulars discussion thread and thanks to @Bricked1980 mentioning it, We now know the modulars that'll be retiring soon are the Detective Office and the Brick Bank. So yeah, the Assenbly Square is in the safe zone :) Link to Shop.LEGO.com for references : https://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Modular-Buildings?icmp=HP-SHT-OP-CE-creato-520
  4. And it would be real dope to have Forbidden Nexo Powers as tags too!
  5. I guess that's a good point with the Saturn V. On the other hand, I think it might fit with Creator Expert better if it's just a generic rocket instead of being the Saturn V. However as for the Fishing Store, I don't see how it can fit? It's not exactly Modular or Urban like the current line of Expert Modulars nor fitting to the World Building Series. And definitely not part of the Fairgrounds too.
  6. That's why I said TLG is staying neutral by not doing this. It's indeed very risky with the reasons that you've mentioned. I don't see how making sets for all different religion really neutral. Different faith groups might just be put off by the various sets which then would set off a complicated mess. You said that you have no religion, you only like the buildings, I can totally understand that but people from faith groups actually think quite differently, that's why it's risky. I think building MOCs on these kinds of stuff is good enough. Just to be on the safe side.
  7. I suppose, these days, TLG (The Lego Group) is not doing this to stay neutral as they cater to a very wide spectrum of customers.
  8. I'm pretty sure VBBN and I already did mentioned that you could use image hosting sites like Flickr or Imgur. They're definitely usable.
  9. @koalayummies, that solid waste disposal santa is amazing! I really love how you manage to combine urban and christmasy elegance together in that truck!
  10. The current Xmas contest/raffle that's open doesn't reward a tag. Last month's halloween contest/raffle does give off special tags a reward though it is closed now. So I guess you'll have to stay tuned and check the portal section regularly as they'll always announce when there is a contest/raffle.
  11. You can always sign up to imgur or Flickr image hosting websites. They're pretty reliable currently (as far as I know). However, you'll be restricted to only upload up to 1k images at flickr by I think around next year, not sure about about the limitations of imgur though.
  12. Well, those are special tags. They kinda like badges. As far as I know, many can be obtained through winning contest/raffles (as long as they're open.) I would guess that it makes you feel that you're part of something? I'm sure the admins/moderators know much more about this about the other ways aside from winning them. (I would definitely like to know too.)
  13. Do you mean on stuff like Vassal, Knight or Duke? Or something else entirely? If you're asking about stuff like Vassal or Duke, those are ranks that lean on post count. When you reached a certain number of post, you move up to a higher rank.
  14. That's pretty well put there. This gives me a much clearer perspective into this. This jeep looks real good, I'll admit, however, I've already felt that it somewhat doesn't really fit in the ideas theme in some way. And your explanation just nailed it. The jeep seems too generic to be unique enough to be an ideas set. I would find it more appealing just as a set under the TECHNIC banner. To think of it, for example, the Saturn V, Old Fishing Store, Ship in the Bottle, Maze, Pop-Up book seems to have nowhere to go with the other themes and that could be one of the reasons they get picked, they're unique in a way that no other current theme/banner could take them which is also what made ideas different. Even licensed sets from ideas is unique as I don't see TLG would do a line of sets on that. That is also why I agree on the factor of TLG not allowing ideas sets based on existing IP. TLG might as well put that idea into that existing theme as to not mess up the ideas line. I'm also seeing that Ideas sets cater to a wider spectrum of consumers (though I guess it's quite obvious). I'm primarily a collector of LEGO Action Themes and Constractions but I would find sets like the Old Fishing Store, Ship in a Bottle, and Pop-Up book real appealing.
  15. Huh? I've never heard that set being put that way though I may not be reading enough blogs, forums or reviews. I might have to respectfully disagree with that if it's actually mentioned though. Personally, I think that it's one of the best ideas sets in the current range that's turned into actual sets. It shows on what good potentials that Ideas could give. Just my two cents there.
  16. I'll definitely be looking forward to that.
  17. That's really a neat build! It's a very vibrant diorama. The details put on all the stuffs, the caboose, the foliage/cactus and even the cauldron stand is just amazing. Not to mention the railroad too. Good stuffs
  18. Oh yeah! It is HOT! It gives off more vibes of the olden days :) Whoa! I definitely did not notice the pup. Thanks for pointing it out :) It looks adorable at the bike!
  19. Alright, now I felt like an idiot for falling for this. Thanks for correcting, seems logical.
  20. That would really make a very nice throwback now that you mention those factors. Wow, that gives off more on the throwback! I wonder...would the show use that face? Would be darn cool if it does.
  21. Holy shrimp! This is so good! The irony! I just love it. It got me on the side of the zombies now! The reasons on why they don't want and also being scared to be a human is just...hehehe! That little girl....a great element in creeping out those zombies! Awesome stuffs there! I enjoyed the entire video. It's a very cool concept and very amusingly funny!
  22. Those are absolutely amazing brickheadz! A feature to put a brickhead into a larger brickhead is something new to me. It's pretty interesting! And since we're already on the topic of rumors on brickheads going out.... To be honest, from the start when brickheadz was revealed, I was never appealed by it. As all it had to offer was licensed figures or based on characters and I normally prefer themes that are original to LEGO, so there's that. It was only when Go-Brick-Me and the seasonal ones was revealed, they start to look appealing in my eyes. The licensed figures is still not and probably never will be my cup of tea though. Your MOCs just showed me how amazing Brickheadz could be. Thank you for posting this!
  23. That Overlord minifigure is just awesome. The prints! The face! Those are really dope! Though, yeah, another new helm would be nice but the current helm shown is still fine with me which also clarify more on the quote below : Also, the monastery training set (a lower price point set) is leaked too. Reminds me of the 70606 Spinjitzu Training Set from the Lego Ninjago Movie. Would be really interesting to see that set go with the Monastery!
  24. Man! That's looks really unique! I not really that well-versed into building techniques yet, so that's actually a first for me at seeing how those elements are used! I never thought 2015 Onua's hammer/digging claws could used in this manner! Everything there definitely just gives off the steampunk vibe for a bike. Great Job there! I really, really do like the entire look of it!
  25. By golly! You're right. That fella (looks to be Lord Garmadon) is a tad too tall for a regular four-armed minifig indeed. Guess maybe we would find out more about that when more leaks surfaces or when the actual reveals starts happening. (Though the former seems more likely.)
