  1. Interesting CMF series. I, also, don't expect to see this until next year . . Still. Out of these, the ones I'm most interested in are Apocalypseburg Mrs. Scratchen-Post and Apocalypseburg Lincoln, for making my Apocalypseburg more busy, the Cowardly Lion for my costume shop (maybe Giraffe Suit too if I can make him fit in the window), and what I can only assume is DJ Wyldstyle for that beautiful Everything Is Awesome record tile. That is going in the recording studio of my Downtown Diner. Also, man, Lego. A president sitting around and playing golf while his country goes to [BLEEP]. Way to throw shade on a certain PotUS. XD
  2. I love this new Thanks! He looks so much better than the old one! Thank you Lego!
  3. Oi. The Batman Movie was great. And the problem with the Ninjago Movie was that it wasn't a Lego Ninjago Movie. It was a Lego Movie with ninjas. I still feel confident that if someone who properly understood the source material had been permitted to work on it the Ninjago Movie could have been great. EDIT: Oh wow. I was hoping for something way more glamorous to be my 1,000th post. Still, I'm a Count now! Cool!
  4. Well, pictures have appeared of 80103 Dragon Boat Race. This set is beautiful and I want it more than the other three.
  5. Might I ask you a question? What, exactly, do yòu intend to do about it? Heck; what do you expect any of us to do about it? Because what you're doing right now amounts to telling us we're all horrible people for looking at pictures on the internet. How does this benefit anyone? You're entitled to your opinions, and this is a forum of public discourse. But if all you have is insults for your fellow AFOL and TFOL, please, keep them to yourself.
  6. Thanos is smiling? YES. That was my most massive complaint about the IW Thanos; that ugly, inaccurate, grimace! (The helmet was annoying but tolerable.) I just hope they can maintain some degree of quality. I really don't like the direction SH has been going in terms of figures . .
  7. You saw the Friends 'Heart Box' sets for next year, right? And yes, it seem like he did. I don't think Queen Whatevra will like that very much.
  8. Am I the only one disappointed that none of the Apocalypseburg minifigures use the new hood/mask pieces introduced for the Dragon Hunters in Ninjago?
  9. Was that the Realm Crystal I saw in that teaser? Well, interesting . . wait, is this for 2HY Season 10 or the 87-minute movie in 1HY 2018)?
  10. This set is absolutely beautiful. The 360-degrees 'good side' is brilliant, 'Coffee Unchained' is hilarious, excellent minifig selection - I was hoping for a repeat of the Apocalypseburg Benny that's exclusive to the Metalbeard Trike set, but that's really my only gripe - a beautiful amount of Sand Green, and they even included Lucy's 'brooding platform'. I am getting this set for my Wasteland layout, and I have no doubt that it's going to become the centrepiece.
  11. They might even just recolour and reuse that one Cyborg arm from Justice League a while back, maybe with some kind of new hand to go with it. Or even just attaching one of those big hands from the TLBM Mr. Freeze set with a standard stud/pin connector. That's the best thing I can think of that wouldn't require new molds.
  12. The proportions of a minifigure - squat and wide - are fundamentally different to that of a normal human. So unless we're going to ask all licensed properties that have Lego sets made about them to alter their animation style/CGI to make people fit the proportions of a minifigure . . deal with it.
  13. So, how does everyone think Lego is going to handle all the new stuff in 1.14? I'm particularly interested in the villagers. The Classic 'plain brown robe' villager still exists as one of the many, many, many new skin combinations, but if Lego wants to do these villagers justice in a potential new Village set, they'd need a lot of new prints. I'm also seriously hoping that somewhere down the line we'll get minifig versions of Illagers - and I'm certain that a Pillager Outpost would make a great set for Summer 2019 or 2020. However, I somehow think the Crossbow might be best represented with some kind of brick-built design that integrates the existing pixel bow element. I'm already working on a possible design. Any thoughts?
  14. They will? Speaking as an Australian TFOL, yay, awesome! I definitely want the Dragon Boat Race more than the other two. So many minifigures and gorgeous builds that will look right at home near my Ninjago area? Sign me up!
  15. I need Christmas Sweater Batman and Apocalypseburg Alfred now. Best case scenario? There's a pseudo-Seasonal set in 2019 with scarf/hat Emmet, Christmas Sweater Alfred, and a Scale dog down tree and ice rink build, plus repeat minifigures of Lucy and Benny/Unikitty. I'd buy that. ^^ (And Apocalypseburg Alfred in one of the inevitable two CMFs.)
  16. I agree with all of the above. I was about to protest the Iron Doom, but then I remembered that I modded mine for better posability and suddenly understood your point.
  17. Holy crap, Apocalypseberg Green Lantern. I want it.
  18. It never showed up in Australia . .
  19. If Elves became "Girly Ninjago" I would love that, but I doubt it somehow . .
  20. Now that you mention it, it looks like her shirt has holes in it, too. I thought it was just folds, but looking closer . . she does seem a bit Apocalypseberg-ish.
  21. These both look excellent! Even though I'm happy with having Pixal as Samurai X and using a MOD of her mech from the set with Killow, these are both stunningly builds.
  22. One thing I would dearly love to see is a model of Dr. Julian's workshop in the snowy forest. Complete with (FINALLY) a minifigure of Dr. Julian. Aside from that I'd love a good Palace of Ninjago set. With the emperor and empress. A Temple of Light remake would be cool too, though.
  23. I definitely don't mind the open space. More room for minifigures. (Though I am, admittedly, hesitant about putting minifigures where they'll only be seen through windows.) I certainly appreciate using different architectural styles, and, to be honest, where I live utilitarian architecture of this sort is a lot more common than the fancy details that we tend to see on 'classic' Modular Buildings. I think it'll pair quite well with the Detective's Office too, which makes it a bit of a shame that the DO will retire directly before the CG releases . . though, actually, this might have been intentional. Lego knows that some vocal members of the community will kick up a fuss if to much emphasis is placed on American architecture. It wouldn't surprise me if that's why PR seems to be having an extra-long shelf life, either . .
