The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion
Fenghuang0296 replied to Fenghuang0296's topic in Special LEGO Themes
"Doesn't come out in retail until March"? What makes you say that? Are the TLM2 sets not goin to be available here in Australia until March? Has this been confirmed? I'm going to the Melbourne Legoland Discovery Centre tomorrow in hopes of getting a couple of them, will I be wasting my time? -
So it's confirmed that there's nothing HP coming in 2019 1HY? That's disappointing. I was looking forward to expanding Hogwarts more. Fingers crossed for the much-prophesied Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom set. That and a proper Chamber of Secrets is pretty much all I want for HP right now.

Speaking as someone who was here for all fifty pages; TL:DR; Lots hoped for, nothing confirmed or even rumoured yet. (But everyone hopes it'll happen all the same.) If it's Classic Space you're interested in, you might want to look into getting Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP! on the aftermarket. Although if the trailer is anything to judge by, Benny will, at least, get a new spaceship somewhere along the line. -

LEGO Overwatch - Wishlists and Future Speculation

The popular picks seem to be Volskaya Industries, Junkertown and Route 66, so I might as well throw my hat in. WAVE 2: Route 66 Showdown: A small set with the payload from Route 66 as the main build and a brick-built Bob as a side build. Minifigures; McCree, Ashe, brick-built Bob. Junkertown Assault: A medium-sized set with the Junkertown payload and outer gate as main builds. Possibly also Wrecking Ball's mech. Minifigures; Junkrat, bigfig Roadhog, hopefully Wrecking Ball, and either a random inhabitant of Junkertown (who will, no doubt, fit in well with Apocalypseburg) or a repeat of a hero from the first wave. Probably 76 or Tracer. Volskaya Industries Infiltration: The big set of the wave: major builds include a Syvatogor Mech, possibly scaffolding with a crane attachment, and Katka's office with desk. Minifigs: repeats of Reaper and Widowmaker, Sombra, Zarya, and Katya Volskaya. I also suspect that we shall see a set in the vein of 1HY's Bastion modelled on Orisa, but I hope not; both Bastion sets were very disappointing and I have no interest in sets that aren't mining-scale. WAVE 3: Zenyatta's Training: A small set to represent part of the monastery seen in "Inner Peace", probably some training equipment. Minifigs: Genji and Zenyatta. (Alternatively; "Attack On Zen Temple"; larger and including a bigger build with a statue, and also including Hanzo.) Ecopoint: Antarctica Defence: A medium-sized set focused on the Ecopoint base. Minifigs: Mei (and a reprinted BB-8 head in grey as Snowball), Sombra and Doomfist. Assault on Talon: Talon's base of operations, probably some kind of Talon car too (because no set can not have a vehicle or some kind). Possibly also some kind of bike for 76 or McCree. Minifigs: Doomfist, Reaper, Sombra, McCree and 76. Battle for Busan: A flagship set featuring the MV-261 Orca, a scaled-down version of D.VA's mech, a mining-scale Bastion, and two Omnic drones as seen in "Shooting Star". Minifigs: D.Va, Bastion, Tracer, Dae-hyun, and one other repeat hero, probably 76. In all honesty, I don't see Overwatch lasting more than three waves as a theme. I hope it does, but as far as being realistic goes, 1HY 2020 is probably the best shot. I'm FAR more hopeful that this partnership between LEGO and Blizzard is only getting started and we'll soon see more sets for the likes of World of Warcraft and Heroes of the Storm - in fact, it wouldn't surprise me if Overwatch as a distinct theme was eventually phased out and replaced with 'LEGO Heroes of the Storm', or just 'LEGO Blizzard Gaming', an umbrella theme that can consolidate all Blizzard-based sets under one roof. Here's to a long and happy relationship that will get us collectors lots of cool toys.- 20 replies

[MOC] Wrecking Ball/Hammond from Overwatch

This is amazing. You should feel proud of such an excellent design. I am going to Bricklink these parts and build that for my collection. Wrecking Ball is one of my favourite heroes, and this is epic! -

The new set list sounds promising. I actually would like a pink sheep. And the Blazing Bridge . . I'm not certain if that will be a Nether set, but it would make sense. That said, if it is I probably won't get it. The Creeper Mine, on the other hand . . eh, maybe . . could be interesting. -
Yeah, this was my thought too. My first instinct is to go with either Madame Hooch or Minerva McGonagall's head. I'm not sure I agree, @hachiroku, because Mercy is a veteran who's supposed to look a little on the elderly side, and that face doesn't quite scream 'veteran' to me.

I am down for all of those. Hopefully especially Whatevra's Castle. That would be epic. Though, considering the precedent set by the Ultimate Batmobile and Benny's Spaceship (Spaceship, SPACESHIP!) The Rexcelsior is probably a shoo-in for a D2C. -
Can anyone think of a possible replacement face for Mercy? One that's actually flesh-coloured and doesn't have that disgraceful printing? My first thought is either Madame Hooch or Professor McGonagall's heads Also, if anyone else is dissatisfied with Mercy's wings, I've designed my own brick-built solution. Once I have the set and a Mercy minifigure to pair the build with, I'll try to put up pictures (if the site will let me).

LEGO Nexo Knights 2018

I really do hope they finish production on the last season a few some point, though I suppose a revival of the cancelled sixth wave is out of the question. So King Halbert's each would have been hacked? That kind of reminds me of the way you could put the Merlok and Monstrox holograms inside the larger mech from the Tech Wizard showdown. Paladin Clay would have been amazing . . also, Ava 2.0 concerns me. But Ava Valkyrie sounds awesome!- 1,601 replies

I think we're in the third 'era' of Ninjago right now. The first ended with Final Battle, the second started with Rebooted and ended with Hands of Time. And the third started with S.O.G. and continues to present Agree to disagree. They may technically be more accurate, but they're so ugly - they don't even have boots. And the way they're using the standard samurai helmet with an empty clip and a recoloured mohawk for Kruncha and Nuckal respectively . . just, eew. I'll stick to my preserved 2011 versions. Wyplash too.

Iron Man Armour Room? Is it too much to hope for that there might be a bunch of display cases with suit some and stuff? Sounds exciting. And it sounds like there won't be a Quantum City building after all. Hopefully. battle of the Assembled Avengers has some interesting builds. -

Amen. The Rock Monsters weren't the best designs, but I liked them all the same and have repurposed many of them as statues for my village. (If I ever get around to building a Dwarf mine in my fantasy layout, Roog and Reex from The Three Brothers will make lovely dwarf statues.) The Knight vehicle designs for year 2 really weren't great; Macy's Dragon Knight combination was excellent, but they made too many compromises to give all of them that capability in some form. (Axl's Rumble Maker was particularly bad.) On the other hand, the Fortrex was outstanding, and my modified, expanded Fortrex is going to be a valued part of my Lego collection for a long time to come.- 1,601 replies

I sure hope there's more. That Batle Pack is . . disappointing. Three identical torso prints. I really liked the design Mystake had I not the show, I'm disappointed that they aren't giving us that. Replacing her horns with Black Panther's band bit is disappointing, and so's the bland torso print and absence of leg printing. The new black printed mask is cool, though. Good solution, especially with the horns.

I think the most likely scenario is that there legitimately isn't much new content in the TV movie Season 10, and the heir don't want to spoil it so the summer wave will include one, maybe two sets about the Oni - since it seems entirely likely that there might actually be only a couple of ONI involved in the movie. And then the rest of the Summer sets will be about Season 11. Like what we got in 2016, with jus tunder half of the Summer sets still in the Skybound theme.

"The Forgotten Emperor" . . . Man, my first thought when I saw that list was to call it fake, but the more I think about it the more likely it seems. And if the next villain is named The Forgotten Emperor . . that is one badass name! I'm excited already! (Also, my first thought hen I saw 'Shuricopter' was that somehow Shuri from Wakanda had gotten a helicopter in Ninjago, but thinking about it I'm pretty sure it's a Zane vehicle that's supposed to be 'Shuriken Copter'.)

Eh. I always thought the whole 'unwind time so none of it ever happened' thing was lazy writing and a horrible way to close off what, in my opinion, was the best season thus far (at the time. Hunted blew it out of the water so hard, though). I have always headcanoned that, at the very least, everyone regained their memories after the period it would have taken for events to transpire in the alternate timeline.

{laughs} "Enhanced visual augmentation," - "Hey! We didn't look like that back then!" Oh man, did Kai just lampshade his own design changes? That's hilarious! And they finally explained the Ultra Dragon! It's about time!

So, the new trailer has some kind of white ship with Supes, WW and GL on it. I wonder if that might be a Summer set? I also see a new sparkly Batman variant.
