Even so, I think this is something new. I couldn't quite tell, but it looked like the go-karts have some kind of parts swapping functionality. Kind of reminds me of the car building system Lego Universe employed way back when.

LEGO Nexo Knights 2018

Actually, it's probably a good thing they didn't. 'Magic mushroom monsters' . . I'm sure everyone can see where that would have gone.- 1,601 replies

Future Action and Adventure Themes

Oh, yes. I'd love some good pirate ship builds. As much as I hate to mention a clone brand here, maybe they could take some cues from Enlighten's 'Legendary Pirates' series, which for the most part is pretty good, both in terms of originality and quality. The minifigures don't stack up, more's the pity, but I got a couple of the sets all the same and they're pretty good. So I'd love to see Lego do something similar. -
Well, it's always possible to just modify it. I did that to the 2016 Lightning Dragon, after all. (Added some horns and used some spare lightning blade parts to give it giant, awesome 'eyebrows'.)

Oh yessssss. The catalogue included a good, clear picture of the Stormbringer Dragon, and . . . Remember, back in The Final Battle, when they had the elemental swords? How the hilts were dragon-shaped? WE'RE GETTING SPECIAL DRAGON-SHAPED HILT PIECES! As well as brand new elemental blade moulds that look really sleek and smooth, not all jagged like the last ones! I think we're finally gonna find out what happened to those elemental swords!

Disney Princesses 2018 - Rumors & Discussion
Fenghuang0296 replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
We've got images of the summer sets; only two. Both are for Rapunzel from Tangled. The Build&Swap system is sticking around, and we've got one small one in the same style as Elsa's and Mulan's which seems to be a bedroom. The other is more like Ariel's Royal Celebration Boat, looks like some kind of horse-drawn carriage. Not sure what the basis is for these . .- 135 replies

Yeah, I hear that. This is the second year that Farren's been exclusive to a single large set. I really hope that this is something that ends in 2019. And the combination of the carriage and wolf surprised me too . . now I'll just have to drop money on something I don't want much to get the wolf. -.-

Two? There's four. In addition to the mechanic's shop and the race track section, the 'snack shop' set comes with another car and some kind of pit stop area, and there's also what I think looks like some kind of pickup truck. Which also comes with another car. I saw the retailer catalogue's prelims.

Yeah. Problem is, it's very metropolitan. So it won't fit into my Winter Village, even though it's been crying out for a nice-looking hospital. -.- Oh well. Guess I'm MOCing a GP.

Right here. I only just downloaded it this morning to get closer pictures of the summer Ninjago and City releases (Ninjago is awesome, but with the exception of one or two things that might be good for my Winter Village City is a let-down) but I've seen the catalogue and downloaded it to my iBooks app. Contrary to expectations, there's only gonna be two summer sets; one with Emily (I think it's Emily, though I guess it might be Sophie), Noctura and two bats (couldn't tell which ones), plus Lumia in her wolf form and Noctura's carriage, which is smaller than it looked in the cinematic trailer we saw a while back. (Which is good, because it keeps the price down, and it still looks fine in my opinion.) The second one is the Elvenstar Treehouse, which looks like a pretty nice building to act as a base of operations for the Elves, includes Lumia, Azari, and someone I think is Naida, but something looks weird about her - I can't quite tell, but it gives me hope that we might see some kind of 'corrupted Naida' mini-doll. There's also two bats (again, can't tell which ones) and some kind of blue animal, looks like one of the bears from Goblin King's Evil Dragon from last year. As for the build, the Treehouse looks great, and I'm noticing a brown spiral staircase which MOCers will love. There's also the Shadow World portal, which looks great, and some kind of brick-built giant bat, which looks somewhat plain, but these are prelims so it's probably not the final version.

LEGO Nexo Knights 2018
Fenghuang0296 replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I hear that. Lord Krakenskull is a gorgeous figure whose usefulness will far outlive the Nexo Knights theme. I could just see him standing tall in the centre of a graveyard. Especially once we get that rock shoulder armour part in dark grey from Ultra Violet in the Ninjago theme to give him some extra armour.- 1,601 replies

Oh yeah? Damn, it's a shame I probably won't get it unless I find a good discount, as all my budget for Ninjago is going to the Temple of Resurrection, Killow vs. Samurai X, and the entire Summer wave this year, and I've already decided any leftovers will go towards the Ninja Nightcrawler so that I can have all three of the leaders of the S.O.G. Here's hoping I somehow, miraculously, end up with enough excess in my budget to get it anyway.

What mini-series is this? I haven't heard about anything like that.

Ooh, I like that. Now that you mention it, Mr. E's eyes do look a lot like the Overlord's, something that I hadn't noticed before. It might also explain why he specifically wants the Mask of Vengeance that turns him into a master swordsman with four arms. I doubt it. The Devourer's been dead for years, both in-Universe and IRL. That would just be beating a dead donkey.

Could be, but I'm not sure about that. I think it's more likely that the S.O.G. think that the Masks have the power to resurrect people, but instead they have the power to create someone. So the 'new Garmadon' is going to be a sort of homunculus. Like a fake Garmadon who is everything that the S.O.G. think he is as opposed to who he actually was.

Oh, that would be great. We could have some lovely variety, especially if they all worked together somehow. Especially with those new shingled roof parts they introduced over in the Disney Princess line.

Did anyone like the movie who never saw the show? I miss Titanium Zane already.

I don't know why everyone is excited about this. This two trains are just as I predicted; another exercise in drab utilitarianism. Definitely not getting either of these, not when there's stuff like 76108 The Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown to add to my city.
-
So, does anyone know how they're going to do the ghost figures? Will they have trans while body parts? They've already done heads in that colour . .

Yeah, I've been there. I was literally just a couple of days from buying 70905 The Batmobile when they unveiled 70917 The Ultimate Batmobile. I immediately thought; "Wait, so there's gonna be a bigger set later in the year that also comes with a Batmobile, as well as a Batwing, Bat-Cycle and Bat-Tank? Screw 70905, I'm saving my money for the Ultimate version!" Even so, while I understand their reasoning . . . DAMN IT I'M CURIOUS AND I WANT TO SEE THOSE PHOTOS SO GIMME GIMME GIMME!!!

Now this is excellent news. My Winter Village has been crying out for a fire station that doesn't look incredibly industrial and metropolitan like all the City ones do. It's not perfect, but it'll do, especially once I've made some alterations and put in some snow. Wait . . you said this was a converted firehouse? Well then. I'll just have to unconvert it.

Future Action and Adventure Themes
Fenghuang0296 replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
They're properly referred to as 'mini-dolls'. With the dash and everything. Not sure why, that's just how it is. Oh, yes. As a cryptozoologist I am personally opposed to the idea of giant animals being portrayed as necessarily villains (King Kong much?), but I love the idea of Lego Kaijus and Jaegers too much to pass this up. Plus, there's historical precedent, in the old ExoForce theme. They'd just have to strip out all the Japanese stuff and redesign the builds with modern parts and techniques. (Also change up the bad guys, but that goes without saying.)
