  1. My first attempt - WIP of course - can be discussed in the shipwrights thread.
  2. This is my current collection of WTC forces. I will do a detailed write-up at a later point (background etc.). But the second Operator is missing a head for now, and I also have some more things in the mail. WTC Artillery, basically WTC Infantry with red parts instead of white (plus the obvious cannon): My two WTC Operators, brother and sister in their background (coming later, same for her head): And of course a full squad of WTC Marines, including "Old One Eye", gunnery sergeant and leader of "Squad No. 7" (name could change): All together: What am I hiding there? You will have to wait and see...
  3. First things first. I started a class 1 sloop for @Bregirs excellent gunboat initiative. It is of course just the start, C&C are appreciated: A comparison shot to the "Cranky Parrot": And then, of course, "The Big One". Please keep in mind that these are very early WIP pictures, this will not be done any time soon. Some views on the current state of the build, with size comparisons to the "Cranky Parrot" and "Brickbeards Bounty": As I said, it is very early into the build. Those "colourful" parts are for stability reasons and will of course be hidden under plates. The main colours will be dark red, dark blue, black and white, with the obvious addition of reddish brown. Secondary colour will be dark tan for most of the dekc plates. Accent colour will be gold. Finally, the - mostly finished except for silver 1x1 round tile wheels - build I will use for the 36-pounders (of which there will be 30). The 24-pounders (40 or more) will use the 3-long wedge plates and be one black round brick shorter at the barrel, but the same otherwise:
  4. Great idea, I also love all the historical background given. Do the "design discussions" happen here or at the shipwrights thread?
  5. Sounds like a solid plan to me.
  6. Bricklink is your friend. As mentioned, the WTC Specialists basically can be built however you want. If you have the TLBM Eraser (CMF), you could also use a WTC Operator. Or you simply invent a new type of troop/personel. It all depends on what story you want to tell - not everything is handled by the military side of things.
  7. Awesome, I am looking forward to that! As for WTC troops: most of them use the Tusken Raider torso. The Marines add reddish brown legs and tricorns, the infantry has white legs and epaulettes plus the Imperial Guard shako. The specialists have more variety. See this for reference.
  8. Thank you, this is a version I would actually like (minus one of the "Diner" signs of course). However, that would push the price to 300€, same as "Ninjago City" - without the same level of detail and awesomeness. I also do not think I ever want to invest twice as much money to make a set even watchable for me. Maybe with a jackpot in the lottery...
  9. Aye, a great microbuild indeed. Lots of good ideas in this one! The only thing looking odd to me is the river: it is just too narrow in my opinion. Apart from that the whole thing is marvolous!
  10. Nothing spectacular, but nicely done. That WTC infantryman sure is having a good time. It looks properly filled with random stuff, and I guess that skeleton is a... souvenir from teh Nova Malto actions? I do wonder where the roof is though. Go steal some roofing tiles from the nearby fort!
  11. Not wanting to harass the Powers That Be, but at what point do I get to know the result of my recent mining prospect? And while we are at it: will I ever get to know what that "sweetest fruit" actually is?
  12. Thanks for that. Of course there is still a lot in the open. I myself am not sure where this goes to be honest. I only know I want to build something big for Corrington, and something halfway realistic. I had some ideas about a monster-ship with two hulls, but that one will have to wait for the time being.
  13. Length at the waterline: 84 studs. Width at two studs above the waterline: 16 studs. What would that be in the end? Class 6? 7? 8? First WIP pix tomorrow.
  14. Indeed. And we are going to kick your megablocks.
  15. Spelling fixed. I have no interest in becoming an apple mogul, I just want to build a plantation without stepping on anybodys toes. I am also not interested in joining MEASTRO - I am a proud WTC member already. But thank you for the kind offer.
  16. Excellent, thank you. Solving two issues at once for me!
  17. A question about the following scenario: assume two settlements less than 50 miles apart, either one or both with a medium fortress (range: 50 miles). Do the defnse stats stack, or not? So can one fort protect another settlement if it is nearby, and can forts in a scenario as given support each other? Another question concerning the MAESTRO monopoly on apples: what ingame meaning does that have? Can I build apple plantations or is that out?
  18. @ukblock: Thank you for those side-by-side pictures. They strengthen my opinion that the DD does not work well with the previous modulars. You might have saved me some money!
  19. I expected nothing better from an Eslandoodlian shill.
  20. Luckily the WTC will soon launch a newsletter of their own, finally bringing true quality journalism to the Brick Seas.
  21. This is all Eslandoodlian propaganda at best, and fake news at worst. Boo!
  22. The official pictures make the set look a lot better, but for now I just do not "feel" it. It will stay around for some years, I am in no hurry. I guess my "2018 modular" will be Ninjago City. And I still have not got the Brick Bank. Yeah, I am in no hurry.
  23. If nobody else minds, I would take that "commerce" offer, I have a nice idea that I will build tomorrow. @Mesabi: medium artisan (Jameston needs two points worth) for you?
