Me too... But I am curious: is there any relation between Creator and other lines? I know it is kind of "City heavy" these days, but that adds up to nothing.
-
I think we can take it as a sign that there will be 2 pirate themed Creator sets this summer. Unless there is any pattern in previous sets where one or more Creator sets came before a similar "regular" series, this is no sign at all.

Thanks everybody for the kind words! @Capt Wolf came up with the idea and provided a lot of excellent source material, which made the build surprisingly easy and straightforward. The "downsizing" was both for a lack of bricks and the ease of building and presentation. Doing it "right" would look much more impressive, but I lack the means to do so. It is a lick brick, plus some transred and transyellow bricks inside. Weird. The "raw" pictures I provided Capt Wold with can be found in this album, that should hopefully work.

[COR WTC] WTC Monthly - Issue 3, February 618
Darnok replied to Darnok's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I aim to please! Apart from the usual call for article suggestions and reader letters, I also want to ask for recipes to be published in the WTCM. It should be a recipe resulting in something actually edible, and preferably be connected in some kind to the BotBS lore - but the latter is not a necessary condition. If you want to share a family recipe of yours: go ahead! -
Aye, I believe these things have quite a learning curve. I think @Ayrlego and @Kolonialbeamter could provide some very useful advice.

Oleon is well known for shooting its prisoners without a fair trial, so those holes in the wall are very in character. In all seriousness: nice MOC, even though I suggest trying some more render programs. This version looks.. bland?

Shipwrights Guild Hall (WIPs, feedback, and advice)
Darnok replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
My Cranky Parrot is using the small prefab hull pieces, without a midsection. She is comfortably licensed as a class 2, and I still would consider anything with a midsection a class 3. BUT... Having said that, this one is quite a bit smaller than the Drunken Monkey and only marginally longer than the Cranky Parrot (which has more "mass" due to a front and aft castle). So for the sake of consistency I would license this one as a class 2 as well. Nice design, I am looking forward to more pictures once it is finalised! -
True, I will be careful with what to use (if at all). A meeting at the ball would be something though!

True. That is his fault and his fault alone. Maybe Hume should get in contact with the editor and raise his concerns in a more mature way? As pointed out elsewhere, this is all up to your/his dirty imagination, and not at all intentional on the side of the WTCM. Shame on you, shame on you indeed! A sign of a weak character this is. So the free press is not worthy of Corrington? What a telling statement! None of the concerns raised have been adressed by the honourable Mayor yet. Again, quite telling. But does he? So Hume cares for nothing but his superiors? Is this how the Corrington "meritocracy" works? Obedience to the ones above you, neglect for everything below you? I might repeat myself, but: what a telling statement! It was clearly a friendl suggestion, meant to keep Hume out of potential trouble. Claiming this to be a "threat" is... dare I say it... quite a telling statement. The following is OOC for a change: I am tempted, but would like to "fight" an opponent under equally fair conditions. Given Ayrlegos current situation I do not see this happening soon. Same here. This is great fun, thank you! P.S.: The WTCM is taking notes. A lot of notes...

Dr. Thaum and Count Mesabi... Facebook would list their relationship as "it is complicated". But he still loves you deep inside!

I would appreciate it! They look really good, this combination of parts is something I have not seen before, and I love the results.

Sweet story, as usual! Joseph Zumbro is an excellent megablock, well written! The build itself, while quite basic, does a great job as background for the story. The interior is properly busy, and I like the diversity in bricks used for the walls - looking good! The roof is also nicely done, the brown tiles do a great job in detailing there. The one thing I would add is some kind of pathway on the outside, leading to the front door. Some grey tiles or plates, round or with edges, would add a lot with very little work. Overall a really solid build, showing again that your building style improves. For the story: I can not wait to see where this goes!

Please note that the following is completely IC, OOC I have nothing but the highest respect for Ayrlego. Lies! Major Hume was not mentioned with a single word in this years WTCM. In last years first issue however the article mentioning him was not at all "about him" - it merely suggested a possible conflict of interests. Replying with a personal attack against the editor is poor form, not worthy of Corrington. Now this claim, outrageous as well as false, once again shows how Major Hume is incapable of acting like you would expect from a professional government official. He seems to have an agenda to push, and quite a hostile one I might add. But maybe Major Hume wants to correct these impressions in person? The WTCM would be delighted to question him in an interview, and the Great Ball would be an excellent opportunity. Or does he want to continue the charade of his previous lies and deceit? I also want to inform Major Hume of the upcoming issue #3, so maybe he should weigh his next words well.
