  1. Captain Wilbern and his crew came together after the aquisition of another ship needed for their mission. "And I tell you, that stupid riddle is all about..." Beardface shouted, but was swiftly interrupted by the Captain. . "Listen here, guys and gal. We are sailing to the Glimmering Archipelago. I believe it fits the riddles description perfectly. I will take the WTC Drunken Dragon with most of the equipment, and Mary-Anne will take the WTC Green Viper to support us with more firepower and troops. As we speak both ships are loaded already. Mackie has asked us to give a new invention a field test - and so it will happen. Now get up, we have pirates to hunt. And somebody get Chewy on board!" And so they left Tuber Tavern, curiously watching Mackies experiment getting hauled to the ships. The small pier the ships were docked at was full of equipment still to be loaded. Most importantly: explosives. Because as everybody in the WTC knows: if explosives do not solve your problem, you are not using enough explosives! . . ============================================================================================ Licensed as a small commerce for the WTC. For ease of licensing I have set up a thread of its own for this, but this is originally a part of the WTC AMCRA "Pirate Hunt". As always, C&C are appreciated.
  2. The harbour of Mesabi Landing is a busy place, with lots of hungry and thirsty minifigs around. Tuber Tavern serves all of them! Right at the door you are greeted by a plethora of the finest liquors available. You can also simply enjoy a good meal - fishermans pie is on offer tonight - or play some darts. If you are lucky, Ol' Tuber will be on the piano, playing some of his favourites. . . The kitchen is downstairs, together with the storage room: . Upstairs are more tables, suitable for larger groups, with an open view on the harbour. Currently some guests seems to have a heated discussion... . =========================================================================================== Licensed as a medium artisan for Mesabi Landing. More pictures, giving some more insight into the builds structure: The owner of the tavern - a member of Clan Tuber - will get quite some more story of his own soon. @Spud The Viking might keep a close look. As always, C&C are appreciated.
  3. A very nice build indeed! I like what you have done with the pictures (angles, light, focus), as it supports the story well. I can only second the notion of looking forward to the next chapter of your story - a great start!
  4. Bwahaha! Loving it! Depicting the fishing itself as well as the processing is neat, and I really like the background (crab with hat! WTC guys with bottles! cart with TNT! ). My favourite is the interior of the building though... mermaids tail, seamonster head, TNMT shell, the Ninjago chef... hilarious. Well done!
  5. Any encounters with the wildlife so far? Dogs are vicious beasts...
  6. A really lovely expansion, both in terms of build and story. The "night scenes" are well photographed, and the transclear waves add a lot. Well done!
  7. This is not the right place for what I am suggesting - I have sent you a PM.
  8. @Agent Kallus A very warm welcome to the game in general and Corrington in particular! Going by your story of Ragnar, he (and you) should feel at home in Corrington. You said it yourself, light and picture quality could be better - but your sigfig looks good, and the use of those Duplo parts is clever, I like it. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask them. If you need some ingame funds to start off your builds in the New World: I am happy to help you out, just send me a PM.
  9. Hilarious writing, great microbuild, well done! Very in character for an Oleander to have delusions of grandeur, I applaud you for illustrating this chracteristic of those fanatics.
  10. I noticed this has been done now, so the April Summary is now up to date. Thank you!
  11. After a short meeting with Captain Wilburn it was decided to not only take the WTC Drunken Dragon for this mission, but also aquire a second ship. Something smaller, but with some additional punch - so if any pirate tried to escape in difficult waters, they could still persue them. Captain WIlburn prepared his ship, and sent the rest of the team to get something appropriate. So on to the WTC Shipyards! The group was greeted by a WTC Operator... ... who told them that a new gunboat had just been finished. Beardface claimed it for his mission, and after just a little bit of discussion - not at all including yelling, name-calling or threats to throw the other side into the harbour - it was decided that they could take it.
  12. Having become a Royal Trading Company recently, the WTC needed greater facilities for ship production. This problem has been solved now, the WTC Shipyards are operational: Two drydocks make it possible to work on two ships at the same time, and while one is still in the early stages of production, another one has almost been finished: . While one crew is hard at work, the second one takes a well deserved rest. A shipyards are also a favourite place for some WTC Marines - for fishing! . ===================================================================================== Licensed as a large factory for the WTC. Some more pictures showing the build in its entirety without minifigs and extras, also revealing the "support build" needed: As always, C&C are appreciated.
  13. While, as mentioned above, I appreciate the effort put into this, and like what @Bregir has come up with, I also agree completely with the following: ... there was absolutely no need to impose these "regulations" without consulting the rest of the faction at all. Of course everybody is free to ignore them, and it hardly affects anybody - but then why bring it up in the first place? In the spirit of a collaborative game it would have been good manners to get feedback from all Corlanders - we have a seperate PM for a reason.
  14. Some sort of guidelines on this matter are great to have, I applaud the effort. The dark blue makes the officers stand out between the "common redshirt", while the white and red make it clear that you are dealing with a Corry. Well done!
  15. So Bregir once again proves that he can not discuss in a reasonable way. Instead of adressing the actual issues and question there is only deflecting the blame and calling names, on top of making stuff up. There is a term for that, it rhymes with "rolling". Those feelings are mutual. Thankfully for both of us the game has many more players. Thank you.
  16. @Bart Thanks for this explaination. It sounds like a lot of work for something that can be done so easily with "real" bricks. But in this case it is definitely worth the effort.
  17. I have never worked with LDD, so I am curious: how difficult is posing something like this statue in it? The pose is a good one for a monument, and getting it done with minifigs is a matter of seconds. But I have read more than once people complaining about the difficulties of minifig placement in LDD. How did this one go?
  18. This is getting a bit chatty, sorry for that, but: may I ask where you are at? Could be anything from a garden behind a house to actual wilderness. Just curious.
  19. Another nice one. By the way, your photo skills are great. The balance between background/foreground and focus has been excellent on all shots.
  20. No, it is not, and if you were honest for once you would acknowledge it. See the edited post above. P.S.: Last time I checked this game was not called "Bregir of the Brick Seas". You are not the one inviting anybody here.
  21. Sure, and if somebody does not like what you cook, they first need to become a Michelin star head chef before being allowed to complain. Get off your high horse man. This kind of entitled bullsh*t irks me. I am here, as most others, I believe, to take part in a collaborative (and slightly competitive) building RPG. And most people accept and acknowledge that everyone else does this as a hobby, and works together to make things work. But not you. You act like you are better than everybody else, "holier than though" so to speak. And one of those guys who wouldn't be welcome in my house, mind you. Like you have the "right" to some specific way of handling things your way and your way alone. Like you are entitled to others kissing your feet for your mere existence. Newsflash: You are not. Nobody is here to worship you. P.S.: As in all parts of life, those who choose to do more - and to claim "leadership" as a result - can nonetheless be asked to do that "more" bit without constant complaining. I for one did not ask you to do it, you chose to invest that time yourself - act like it. I only hear you complaining about the massive burden it is on your part. And all hell breaks loose if somebody dares to criticise you.
  22. Those grass bricks look very natural. Which set are they from?
  23. Have you considered to just do your part here? You know, if you have so many issues with this "leadership" thingy - given your many complaints about how much of a burden it is on your free time - you could just step down. Instead you chose to attack me (again) and threat a "delay" (twice now actually), instead of adressing the complaint. Not at all a mature behaviour, to put it mildly. You act a lot like my grandmother, who likes to do the same: deflecting the blame, never adressing the issue itself. She is almost 80 and a bit senile though - what is your excuse?
  24. @Bregir Excellent, thanks for the quick reply. Trial and error has shown that complaining yields much better results than silence, so expect much more of it in the future.
  25. Yup, pretty nice. I think it could use some more "work process" details, but apart from that it is a very solid build. I am a big fan of the wagonway inclusion, I think we should build on that concept together with @Lord Buckethead a lot more in the future. And as mentioned elsewhere: I would love to see where the WTC "aquired" all that wood.
