  1. Regarding the Steampunk Adventurer, I was admittedly surprised to see another Steampunk archetype from you after Series J's Inventor, though again as a male. Should we expect to see a female Steampunk archetype of some kind down the road from here? Maybe a Time Traveler?
  2. You know, I'm figuring we'll be seeing the windshield utilized for both of the Lamborghinis in the dual pack.
  3. And yet another excellent Series once again Robert! My standout favorites for this one have to be that Steampunk Adventurer (seriously excellent reusage of DB's hair & goggles mold BTW) and the Mobster; plus, I have to give you credit for your color choices for the Ninja Girl, as they really help the figure stand-out from Ninjago's offerings if it were hypothetically a real CMF!

  5. And not to mention, Creator could also easily support subject material that has never (and perhaps may never) seen a playset line of its own. For instance, may we ever see Lego attempt a line of playsets based upon Ancient Babylonian, Egyptian, Greek, or Roman civilization like Playmobil's been doing for years? Well, if Lego's uneasy about trying such, it couldn't hurt to test-out the idea with at least a single Three-In-One set, right?
  6. You know, perhaps I've just been spoiled by the quality of detail today's minifigures have compared to 2011's/2012's, hence possibly judging them unfairly (or maybe I've just seen too much original character art that makes me wish their designs were instead like such).
  7. Not sure if this may ever be pertinent to Lego next year, but...
  8. I've always wondered how Lego goes about selecting individuals for their test market research.

  10. I think it's a little unfair to treat the designers like they're strictly or needlessly constraining themselves when there have been so many recent sets like Underwater Robot, Futuristic Flyer, Mythical Creatures, Modular Winter Vacation, Tree House Treasures, Mighty Dinosaurs, and Robo Explorer in which some or all of the models are based on fantasy, historic, or sci-fi subject matter. Even going back further there have been plenty of other sets inspired by fantasy creatures, robots/mechs, etc. It may not be throwbacks to classic themes, but it's not just modern day City/Town stuff either. Even so, the reality is that a lot of the other sorts of subject matter in the Creator 3-in-1 theme like modern day vehicles, houses/shops, real-world animals, etc. have been very popular, and a lot of people express genuine disappointment when they feel like one or more of those things is being neglected. So even if there's no "outstanding obligation" to always have sets in these categories, there is still plenty of incentive for Creator 3-in-1 designers to maintain categories that have continued to drive so much of the theme's popularity. I know, I know, Creator's Three-In-One line is seemingly getting better at stepping outside of their usual stomping grounds, though it just seems like it's taking awhile for the theme to give us a set that makes AFOLs realize the potential it could offer them. As I've expressed many times before, I really want to see Creator's Three-In-One line be to playsets what the Collectable Minifigure theme is to minifigures, making-up for where there currently isn't.
  11. Well, New York Comic Con starts tomorrow, so perhaps that's our culprit? Maybe we'll finally be seeing the rumored "Batvehicle" D2C unveiled for then too?
  12. In premise, I definitely prefer Monster Fighters, as not only did it have broader potential if it had continued, but it was the closest a Lego playtheme has ever strayed towards Steampunk and/or Dieselpunk. But, having said that though, I still found the theme's protagonists a bit underwhelming in both their figure and vehicular designs, thereby leaving the antagonists to be the theme's more interesting offerings unfortunately. In a way, Pharaoh's Quest kinda had the same dynamic for me: Awesome-looking antagonists and protagonists that just left much to be desired.
  13. Here's a rather nicely-executed Ideas project submitted yesterday by MiniBrick Productions... LEGO Ideas - Hergé's The Adventures of Tintin
  14. While I agree it would be a good pairing I really hope it doesn't come true. First appearance Superman would be a waste of a figurespot imo Eh, I don't know, Christo7108's take on such looked pretty nice I thought... Hmmm, I somewhat would've liked to have seen the alternate belt design instead in spite of such; but besides that, it's a pretty good-looking take! Heh, it is funny though how we're getting two new variant-specific Bat-Cowl molds at the same time.
  15. Guys, Series Q has leaked over on Instagram!!!
  16. Likely because most leakers are pop culture junkies first and foremost and AFOLs second. Unlicensed Lego just isn't the first thing on their radar. Hmmm, maybe then the presumed Superman CMF in this Series will be based upon his own first appearance too!

  18. Having seen that BBC has finally released a trailer for their time period-faithful miniseries adaptation of H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds, I was pondering how cool it'd be if Lego had revisited Alien Conquest's extraterrestrial invasion premise once again for a new playtheme inspired after such. Rather than just being outright named War of the Worlds, perhaps it could instead go by the moniker Earth Vs. Mars, with a Victorian/Edwardian Era-inspired setting and a premise built around "Royal Astronautical Marines" pushing back against the Martians' invading forces...
  19. Do you rather mean this set? Brickset - 20215 Invention Designer
  20. That was @Nabii more specifically that had brought that to light...
  21. By the way @Yooha, have you anything special planned for this year's CMF Advent Calendar?
