  1. Hey @Yooha! Your thread here was one I totally missed at the time, and I was only made aware of it after @Eggyslav mentioned it in his recent Space Police IV thread. I must say, I think your Space Police cop is perfect, and I love the usage of the Ultra Agents helmet and Nexo Knights armor! Your Frontiersman design is also quite nice, and only makes me wonder how come Lego hasn't done an actual CMF of the archetype yet even after the introduction of the raccoon cap three years ago. I was just wondering, unless the part isn't available for LDD yet, how would your Space Police cop look like with the year two Nexo Knights armor (part no. 28350) instead? By the way, one of my most favorite designs of yours is your Golden Age Hero done for your 2014 CMS advent calendar.
  2. I was scrolling though Flickr user Cole Blaq's Enter The Brick series album (linked below), and I was pondering on just how great this would be as an Ideas project. But in retrospect, how come does it seem that many of these great AFOL builders don't contribute/submit any of their most popular work to Ideas? Are there any determents to submitting projects to Ideas? Though I myself have never submitted anything to Ideas, it seems presumably rather simple, so do many perhaps just don't care to submit their work to Ideas? https://www.flickr.com/photos/coleblaq/albums/72157636609894156
  3. I'll be looking forward to the concept art, that's cool to know, thanks! By the way @Nabii, how far did you guys get with testing for the Steampunk genre? Was it just testing storyboards/storylines with kids, or did you even get as far as developing set prototypes?
  4. Though I think Lego might opt instead for more goofier Batsuit variants, there might be a degree of possibility that we could get a Gotham by Gaslight Batsuit, since it certainly would be a good excuse to reuse the Vacation Batman cowl. Also, though not perfect, I could see that Batsuit maybe reusing the S17 Highwayman's cape/cloak, since it sort of has a trenchcoat quality to it.
  5. Impressive! A very nice model of the Mallard, your curved fenders are the cleanest I've seen compared to others' MOC takes on the locomotive! Looking at this, it made me realize that the Mallard would be a great source of inspiration for the next Creator Expert series train (if that ever happens). By the way, I haven't seen your Flying Scotsman locomotive before, that is as equally impressive!
  6. Thanks! That's good to know, since the darker Trans. Green has the least variety as far as parts go. By the way, did some of these Trans. Green parts include canopies? Space fans could definitely use new canopies in that color for Space Police II.
  7. I was just browsing the colorstream project by Flickr user Ryan H., and I saw he posted this one unreleased prototype color back in January this year named "7 Orange". It sort of fits the bill for the color I was proposing. There was some discussion on the comments for this photo about the color's origin and history that was interesting to read. https://www.flickr.com/photos/126975831@N07/32237845995/in/album-72157649729890049/
  8. Though I'm glad Nexo Knights will be continuing a third year, should we be expecting any new, smaller scale action/adventure themes for at least the first half of next year @Sir von Lego?
  9. Seriously, the Bat-Spaceshuttle? Interesting, but I will say, getting that front end space shuttle part in black with Trans-yellow might be of interest (maybe) to Blacktron I fans.
  10. Ditto! I usually prefer comic styled variants of most characters, but the Silver Centurion was one of IM3's best suit designs, and I was pretty happy when Lego did it in minifigure form.
  11. Okay then! From the sounds of this, I'm kind of excited. And I'm surprised that Nexo Knights is actually still going strong from what @Sir von Lego has just told us. By the way, by "Trans. Green", do you know @Sir von Lego which color that specifically is? For reference, from left to right: Trans. Light Green, Trans. Fluorescent Green, and Trans. Green (all Brickset names).
  12. Don't forget that the May 2019 CMS may be one for 2019's other cinematic film The Billion Brick Race, which is slated for theatrical release that same month, meaning S19 may come at Sept. 2019 at the earliest.
  13. I doubt it, but perhaps the "costumed" S18 will be a Renascence Fair CMS, since those two pictures posted by @Amazing Bricks look like they belong to historical CMFs.
  14. Ohhh, that could be a lot of fun!
  15. The Milkmaid and the Golfer are this series' best! Excellent work @Robert8!
  16. Now after seeing a clearer picture, that armor piece in Earth Blue is quite tempting, since I think it would work nicely for the S7 Galaxy Marine (I do believe someone has mentioned that already). As for that CS Nexo shield sticker, I don't know what to make of that.
  17. Cool! I like your color scheme take on SP4. Using Earth Blue is sort of a merging of the Bright Blue and Black of SP1, while the inclusion of Trans. Green blasters evokes SP3 somewhat. Thanks for linking @Yooha's CMF thread, that is one I totally missed! His Neo Space Police cop is brilliant!
  18. How could I ever forget...Automobiles! Lego could do some amazing Art Deco cars from the 1920's and 1930's for their Expert series car subtheme! 1935 Auburn 851 Boattail Speedster anyone?
  19. Well, that was the route they took with Galaxy Squad, using Trans. White canopies on white with factioned accent colors. The thing is about that theme, is that it always seemed like Lego's more colorful, friendly take on Halo, something Lego even seemingly tried to use as inspiration for their previous theme Alien Conquest. Many fans did feel a little bit of blah for both of those subthemes because of their lack of more colorful canopies. Also, I do think Lego would continue to keep space themes in a more colorful spectrum to avoid any similarities to Star Wars, and also to keep the theme from looking too military-esq, something that is of utmost importance to Lego.
  20. Most looking forward to it! By the way, since many users here asked questions regarding future products for the theme, did Michael hint at anything in response to those questions? Please don't disclose his answers yet, I'd definitely not want to spoil the full interview, but I just was wondering if there were any hints or even bombshells to be looking forward to. Thanks!
  21. Hey @Robert8! By the way, have you ever considered doing a design tutorial for these CMFs as either a Eurobricks topic or a YouTube video? It would be a most entertaining and informative insight!
  22. I used to see CMF parts in my local Lego store's BAM section years ago when I first started getting into the hobby. At the time, I didn't know of the significance or age of these minifigure parts, but thinking back now, I remember seeing all the parts to the S2 Witch and Mime. There were other CMFs, but those two were the ones I distinctly remember.
  23. Well, actually, Lego seems to have introduced such a color this year in the winter 2017 Ninjago sets for Vermilion swords. Brickset has named the color "Copper Metallic", and initially, I just thought those swords were in Dark Orange. https://brickset.com/parts/colour-Copper-Metallic
  24. Here is a good question for frequenters for this thread to ponder. If we were to definitely expect a new space theme in the near future, what would you not want from such a theme? Also, while I personally don't think such a theme is possible while Star Wars is still around (for reasons I've given earlier on this thread), how would any of you feel about Lego doing a retro, 1930's comic strip styled space theme (think Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon) being done as opposed to something more inspired after traditional Classic Space themes of the 1970's-1980's? I plausibly could see an original minidoll space theme taking after a retro, 1950's Jetsons style with bubble canopies and wild, exaggerated tail fins. I've always thought such a style would be cool for presumably a boy's theme, but I guess it may be more fitting instead for a girl's space theme. Your welcome! It really was nothing, the whole theme idea did actually sprout off of the name, after I was fiddling around with the "tron" prefix in my mind. But thinking about it now, such a space subtheme could have plausibly happened in the 1990's, since after all, they did want to do a marine space subtheme. As long as such a theme does not turn out too "Power Ranger Zord-ish", I'd take any well done mecha theme, whether it be space or earth based. Having said that though, weaving modular combiner elements lightly into such a theme would be cool. But yes, if a space theme isn't viable currently, parts such as colored canopies and related CMFs do help, and we do hope the Creator theme will in time give us some Classic Space inspired material in future sets.
