  1. I'm guessing this will be a US $20-$25 set based upon the size of the unprinted box shown held by the set designer at the end of the results announcement video. Given that we haven't seen any other figures leaked beyond the three we know of, yes, I wouldn't expect anyone else. As for Lightcycles, a set that's around that estimated price range would just have to have more than one, as I doubt 200-250 parts would construct only one Lightcycle.
  2. Gypsy Avenger from Pacific Rim Uprising by @chubbybots2 on LEGO Ideas. 'Nuff said. Clockpunk, Sandpunk, Dwarfpunk, Steampunk, Castlepunk... Extraordinary selection! Ah, love that Sand Green/Olive Green roof, along with that foliage!
  3. Lego Gypsy Avenger (Pacific Rim Uprising) by @chubbybots2 * Popeye by Tigerdyr1000 LEGO Modular Building Street by Jimbricked Soliders Outpost by Spinx125 * Damn, thank you @chubbybots2 for this project, as I've been waiting for something like this for a long time! Dang, I've never seen that project before! Such a lovely structure.
  4. The fact that the entire family come with dual molded arms and legs just makes up for the lackluster build(s).
  5. Here are three recently released trailers for Disney movies which are hitting theatres in the later half of this year:
  6. Eh, if that's the direction a Popeye CMS would take, then I'd immediately lose nearly all interest. For me, the point of caricaturing a character into a minifigure is to tastefully force that likeness into a Lego minifigure, not to force a minifigure into the likeness of that character. What's the point of caricaturing any likeness as a minifigure if you're simply going to slap their mismatched head onto a minifigure torso?
  7. Psiaki? Isn't he by any chance a Eurobricks member too? Now a simple tag could serve the same purpose just as well, but a rank would catch a lot more users' eyes. TLG representatives here get their own rank, so why not designers if they wish?
  8. Nifty little set there, I like the villain's Dark Red recolor of Black Widow's hairpiece! Presumably, Violet's force field dish has to be Trans-Purple, right?
  9. I have to confess, I'm a sucker for any modular (irregardless of its architectural style) that predominantly incorporates Earth Green into its construction, and hence this one is my favorite of the three. Please do tell me if you may find any AFOL who only shares his work on no other platform other than Instagram, as that was something I inquired about in a topic of mine a little while ago where Brick Explorer's work was first cited to me. It's not that easy to find MOCs there, as most Lego tagged posts there are primarily minifigure photography.
  10. I long for the days of themes like that too, but, do they necessarily need to be one-hit-wonders? Just broaden any of those themes' focus a little bit, and you can get a whole lot more longevity out of them. For instance, why did Pharaoh's Quest need to be just that? The theme had already set itself up as a dead end by its very name, whereas it simply could have literally broadened its horizons with a name either alike or akin to Adventurers. So, with lines like those as examples, couldn't Lego simply cook up a broadly encompassing evergreen Action/Adventure/Sci-Fi/Historical/Fantasy theme? If that couldn't work, how about slotting them into Creator as annual subthemes? That's how City rolls, so how would other archetypical genres/settings fail if they were to follow the same path?
  11. Ah, okay, I've just found it myself from a certain Instagram user; and yes, it's her older costume.
  12. Is she in her "family" costume or her new "solo" one?
  13. Have you ever seen this Russian Instagram user's work before @LegoModularFan? Someone on a topic of mine awhile ago cited their work, which is not only atmospherically beautiful, but pretty darn cute! Instagram - Brick Explorer (Below is only a very small sampling. )
  14. Unless they've been pushed back, it definitely sounds like that this theme is dead. Come to think of it, how often has that happened, if at all? Have we ever had leaked catalog preliminaries of unreleased playsets surface before their planned release date? Typically, I think we usually come to knowledge of canceled sets way after the fact. I never saved the image myself, but I remember seeing them originally posted by a particular Instagram user who was one of our first leakers (that at least I knew of) of 2018 set images.
  15. You're welcome! Well, I think the proposed model for the Ideas project was way too embellished, and I seriously doubt that the final product will turn out that way (at least I hope it doesn't).
  16. Any chance we may hear of any other BrickHeadz sets for this year? Particularly, I'm wondering if Lego would want to throw their hat into the ring with the theme for the Christmas release of Mary Poppins Returns. Ah, interesting. These Disney BrickHeadz are starting to interest me more than other franchises covered by the theme, maybe save for those upcoming Doc and Marty sets.
  17. Dang, the legs and feet on this guy are just spot on!
  18. Ooooh, seriously impressive when lit up!
  19. I initially knew of and already was following Mark Stafford, but not Marcos before! Perhaps, we could have not just have a tag for designers, but a rank unto itself, much like special designations which are irrespective of post count such as Fellow and Lady for instance.
  20. Can you use Instagram in the same way as you do as Pinterest? For me, I use Pinterest as a way of bookmarking Lego creations that are found elsewhere other than Flickr, not to mention also non-Lego Retrofuturistic concept/fan art from sites like ArtStation, DeviantArt, etc.
  21. That's the thing, the MCU has a lot more room for movies that can all be unique and original from one another, whereas Star Wars can get pretty old, pretty quick.
  22. Here are a few YouTube channels who's content I've been watching recently: BigJackFilms, primarily his King Kong Review series. Nostalgia Critic's reviews on Channel Awesome by Doug Walker. Down to Disness, an animated Disney movie history series by Sarah Sterling. AlternateHistoryHub.
  23. I only pray that they don't completely shelf the movie. But just because it's been said that this is a "Space Action Musical" doesn't mean that Classic Space is a given for this sequel, if "Space" broadly means what we presume it means at all. Maybe, but at least playsets are a given for the movie under the preexisting Minecraft line we have already. The sets may be branded under the movie banner, but technically, it would be to the typical line what the three 2014 TMNT movie sets were to the Nickelodeon TV show line.
