  1. Looney Tunes, Universal Monsters, Tom and Jerry, Tintin, and Godzilla all would've been incredible! I wonder if Lego would be still interested in utilizing these franchises elsewhere if they still have access to them.
  2. As far as "regular" CMSs go, I know many would hope to see the next one (a.k.a. Series 19) be a less specialized, non-themed lineup; but still, wouldn't a Christmas themed series be kinda cool, much like how Series 14 was a Halloween/Monsters themed lineup? If so, would there be enough archetypes to fill sixteen slots? What archetypes could they be for that matter?
  3. A well done and comprehensive review, excellent work! By the way, do you have a Classic Blue Spaceman or TLM Benny* figure? It'd be fun to have a shot of either one of those two holding their microfigure likeness. * Speaking of Benny, it looks like he works part time as a mischievous factory worker according to the back of the packaging for this set. Being the successful theme that it is, it's understandable why Ninjago is represented in this commemorative set, but they really should have chosen someone else besides PIXAL for that job I think.
  4. Ridley Scott's The Martian, with Matt Damon. A really fun and educational piece of realistic science fiction, I found the PR element of the plot rather amusing.
  5. It's really cool to see both the minifigure and his microfigure together there! If we do see additional follow-up CMSs to this year's HP series in future years, I hope at least we'll gain plenty of useful flesh tone heads/expressions plus period setting based torso designs from FB characters. As long as we get at least one "regular" CMS a year (that isn't Series 18), very well.
  6. As both a car and a robot, these both look excellent in either form! I'm amazed at how this DeLorean looks even better than the Ideas set, particularly the car's hood, yet this one transforms! Clever creation and great work!
  7. Sweet! Those are, at least for me, one of the better things to come out of this series! Ditto. That is, only if The Billion Brick Race is going to be moved upwards towards sometime in 2020, which is looking to be more of a possibility given that we haven't heard of any replacement director for the film yet.
  8. Thanks for the links! I guess from the looks of it, he does primarily use Instagram as his main hosting site for photos. As you know, I'm always interested to see who isn't on Flickr (for the most part, that is) as far as builders go, just to see who's work I might be missing out on.
  9. Hey, I think it cuts the mustard, but I must admit, it surprisingly went with some rather lighter hued color choices compaired to what is actually seen cinematically. If this does turn out to be an official, physical figure, at least both the helmet and torso look to make for some great repurposing material. Particularly, the Gold, Dark Red, and Earth Blue is nice color combination for a generic Sci-Fi torso design.
  10. By the way, does anyone know or have a rough idea when the deadline for the First 2018 Review Stage is? There hasn't been a blog post by Ideas staff about that yet. Edit: I should add that staff also haven't been doing 10K Club interviews with builders of projects within the Third 2017 Review.
  11. Or, the Dragon Costume Guy! You know, little knight microfigure up against a "dragon".
  12. You know what would've been incredible? If all the Series 18 CMFs came with at least one unique, Classic themed microfigure, much like the ones seen in this set!
  13. They look pretty nice, I dig the video recorder they gave Marty! By the way... The Brick Fan - LEGO BrickHeadz BTTF Marty McFly & Doc Brown (41611) Found at Target
  14. By a "brand new theme", do you mean an in-house theme as opposed to a licensed one? Ah, okay, thanks for that clarification!
  15. Ah, okay, thanks a lot for identifying that!
  16. Gorgeous! I really love this mech's color trifecta of Earth Green, Dark Red, and Gold, not to mention that any creation that makes usage of those quarter circle arch pieces (especially in Earth Green) really gets me!
  17. Wait, what are you referencing to? Sorry, I'm clueless.
  18. Nice upgrades! Are those tie rod parts custom by the way?
  19. NCS Saberkitty by @pombe Buick Skymaster GSX Estate Wagon by timhenderson73 P-38 Nemesis by JonHall18 Hmm, there's something that evokes Vincent's work in this one. I dig it!
  20. Well, as far as licenses go, how about a constraction line based upon Warner Bros' MonsterVerse? Though they wouldn't necessarily be dinosaurs, there are quite a few sets you could get out of such a theme! So far, we have Godzilla, MUTOs, Kong, Skull Crawlers, Rowan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah making up the kaiju we've seen/know of in this franchise. But, having said that, I too would much rather see more in-house themes from Lego when it all comes down to it. Hey, how about Biomechanical Dinosaurs?
