  1. All three of these have something noteworthy to come away with. As its name makes focus of, the gold windows and vines on this creation make for a really pretty chapel build! The 88 Club, on the other hand, offers a generous helping of Art Deco motifs and accenting which works quite nicely. The last one, as simple as it may be, has a pleasant color trifecta of Reddish Violet, Dark Bluish Grey, and Reddish Brown that I kinda like!
  2. Have you only heard about those two sets, or perhaps something more, if you know what I mean?
  3. The Imaginext figures aren't branded with TV show labeling though, right?
  4. I'm pretty sure that the most that could happen to the film would be a release date change from May 2019 to at least early 2020. Given all the tie-in sets possibly being developed by designers right now, I'd doubt WB will completely scrap the movie. I think it'd be too soon to make Series 20 a Costume Party 2.0, so perhaps the most we may expect will just be an extra chase figure like Mr. Gold. Also, S20 will instead be celebrating the Collectable Minifigure line's tenth anniversary, as opposed to the anniversary of the minifigure itself, so I'd expect something more pertaining to the line specifically instead. Ditto.
  5. I certainly hope that it will play out that way.
  6. Cool! The windshield on this is its best standout feature.
  7. That's what we were just talking about on this topic, as it is going to be a set, just without rails.
  8. You're welcome! By the way, do you feel that 2019 really could make room for a second Disney CMS? I mentioned this in a comment on your video, but I think that year is pretty much booked. With two cinematic movies slatted for then, they presumably will both receive CMSs; and with only one other slot available for that year, it just has to go to Series 19, as we haven't yet seen a single year without a non-licensed series.
  9. Now I will say that, for those I can't appreciate as a whole, some of them do at least come with some repurposable parts, particularly their heads with unique expressions. Probably the only costumed characters I can appreciate as a whole are Halloween costumed CMFs such as the S14 Skeleton Guy and the S16 Imp. Also, CMFs like the Gorilla and Lizard Suit Guys can be thought of as Toho rubber monster costume actors. But still, those I don't care for could at least give us more than just new expressions. I'd like to see more costumed CMFs like this promotional figure, with some great dual molded/printed torsos and legs.

  11. I believe Lego set designers are most likely influenced by the CW shows to incorporate those characters into sets. But as for playsets directly based off those shows, I only think that will happen if Warner Bros wants to market merchandise based upon the ArrowVerse to kids. From what I'm aware of, most ArrowVerse tie-in products are marketed towards adults, right?
  12. Sweet mech! I really dig his "shotgun".
  13. No rails huh? I know many Star Wars sets are expensive enough already, but this seemed like a good opportunity for Lego to introduce a new monorail system.
  14. Well, for every series, there's usually only one or two CMFs that I really want. As for the others I'm not interested in, I still think they're great to have, it's only those costumed characters that I don't get. I'm sorry, but I think they are just pointless filler that could be filled in by some other useful City/Historical/Sci-fi/Fantasy archetype. To me, costumed character CMFs are like gag gifts, like a whoopie cushion or a hand buzzer.
  15. But, many of those franchises you mentioned were only touched upon once as Dimension packs, while Ghostbusters started out as an Ideas set which spawned a D2C. Dimensions, Ideas, and D2C sets can be aimed towards kids, but they somewhat seem to have adult collectors in mind, and the same can be said slightly for the BrickHeadz theme too. Having said that, I guess Universal Monsters material could be used better for D2C sets, since I think typical retail playsets would be just too gimmicky for the franchise, given their propensity towards play functions and all.
  16. I'd like to highlight @Ashnflash's latest CMF draft done for @just2good, which looks seriously incredible!

  18. Really! Have there been any details given about it? * * Sorry, I just don't pay that much attention to Star Wars rumors at all.
  19. Out of all those rumored franchises, the only one though I'm glad we didn't see was for Despicable Me. Having that on board would've inevitably led to playsets, and, well...
  20. But, would playsets directly inspired after the source material really do well with both general audiences and kids, besides the adult fan base? I almost think kids would only care about the characters as figures alone, as playsets would be based upon scenes from the films that many might not be familiar with. They know the characters since they're so iconic, but perhaps not the movies they're from.
  21. I'm not fearing Series 19 will be an all-out sequel to Series 18 by any means, as that former concern was more of a hyperbolic joke. But, I am somewhat concerned that S18's potential popularity may mean that the next CMS will be even more saturated with costumed CMFs, unlike any previous non-themed series before it.
