The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Digger of Bricks replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Well, if Benny's indeed a bankable character (which I don't think we're quite certain of), then a UniKitty-styled spin-off TV show and subsequent tie-in theme would more likely be the way they'd handle it (as @danth had suggested earlier here).- 991 replies

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation

That, or we'd just see Lego incorporate the preexisting Krypto and Bat-Dog molds into further sets then as indirect promotion. -
The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)

Every original Space theme doesn't necessarily need to go along the lines of that highlighted premise, as I'm simply proposing an all-new exploration-based action/adventure theme that'd take great influence from Classic Space. Besides, a "good-vs-evil" themed Space theme likely couldn't coexist alongside Disney's Star Wars.- 991 replies

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
As far as parallels go, maybe not time travel and/or alternate realities exactly, but just more of a story that looks at Batman's legacy in retrospect through a character newly-reintroduced to mainstream audiences. -

I've heard they're supposed to be "inspired" after NASA, but branded as such too?! Huh, so, what else did this IG description offer? I can't seem to find it myself. -

But, why not a revival that's its own thing at the same time, an all-new Space theme that takes more heavily after CS than prior lines have?- 991 replies

There is said to be a new duck mold coming in at least two upcoming sets within City's and Creator's summer waves, which made me starting wondering: Would Lego ever do a Duck Hunter archetype for the Collectable Minifigure line? Particularly, I was thinking such a duck mold could be recolored/reprinted as a decoy for such a CMF archetype, one that perhaps could be modeled after the more vintage notion of such utilizing a recolor of the Series 5 Detective's hat.

Latest news about Lego animal moulds
Digger of Bricks replied to Roebuck's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Well, purportedly, one of the upcoming Creator Three-In-One sets (31097) is said to be coming with the same duck mold; so, that may likely suggest it won't be a rubber duck, but rather a real duck.- 6,001 replies

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Both the Wayne Enterprises building from Batman Begins and the build in question featured in the book are definitely based upon the Chicago Board of Trade; but, it is the brick-built ornamentation gracing the latter that I see as taking after the Niagara Mohawk Building's architectural sculpture. -

Never before I believe, though you could say a previous media tie-in for City theme came in the form of the LEGO City: Undercover videogame.

Pretty slick! Has a nice balance of studded and non-studded surfaces, and I like how clean the wing-mounted side thrusters turned out! P.S. My only suggestion would be to add those signature dual prongs to the nose of the craft in some way.

Well, I'm at least hoping the shuttlecraft will have a base color other than White. As I've said, Light Bluish Grey could work. From what I've seen, that ship only looks to be reusing the UCS X-Wing canopy, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just not a new recolor. Here ya go!

Aren't you just referring to that tie-in TV show and subtheme for City? That's what I initially thought this "new theme" was going to be.

Themes LEGO should discontinue

I think Reid's Exo-Suit might also owe its success at LEGO Ideas to being featured as a noteworthy fan creation in DK's first edition of The LEGO Book. -
HEAR HEAR!!! ...or it's still a subtheme of City, just one inspired after Netflix's Stranger Things!
