  1. Of course they won't drop out prematurely, and I'm not expecting them to let the license pass on to another when the time for renewal arrives. No doubt about that, as BrickHeadz's inventive part reusage is one of the best things about the theme!
  2. Well, BrickHeadz is aimed towards a market that revels in pop culture characters and properties, namely those that would buy Funko's products and other static collectables based upon preexisting source material. That'd certainly make me much more interested in future offerings of theirs if I could anticipate such!
  3. Well, moderators such as @WhiteFang or @Bob De Quatre can help you out with that. By the way, have you seen @Foxes Productionz's rejected LEGO Ideas project?
  4. Sweet! I love your usage of the two-part "planet shell" for the balloon; plus, the Pearl Gold "Bat Shield" repurposed as the craft's rudder is a great touch!
  5. Oh believe me, there are others... The best we could hope for, like I'd suggested, is to see Star Wars slow down and pace their annual output of sets after Ep. IX to make room for other space-set licenses and/or in-house Space themes. The problem is though, for as long as Star Wars sticks around, there'll never be a chance for certain concepts to be explored for Lego's in-house Space themes, such as an original Space Opera theme of their own.
  6. Um, have you ever checked a review for any Speed Champions set before? They get tons of great new parts: New Elementary - 2018 LEGO® SPEED CHAMPIONS: UNDER THE BONNET New Elementary - 2019 LEGO® SPEED CHAMPIONS PART 2: THE NEW ELEMENTS I can definitely agree with you on that sentiment, as Technic is one of a few themes I think they're severely underutilizing! Understandably, many of theme's die-hard fans would probably be hesitant to see more fantastical concepts incorporated into its annual lineup, eating up slots for more realistic sets they'd rather see; but, for instance, I'd personally love to see functioning Mecha or Steampunk construction sets come to the theme!
  7. Nice! Could you perhaps show how you inversely bound the two dioramas together? P.S. I believe this topic would've been better suited for the Special LEGO Themes subforum.
  8. If Lego's got something good going with a licensed theme in terms of sales, they shouldn't ax it due to mere exhaustion of the source material. Rather, before they do fully exhaust it, they should slow down that theme's annual output of sets as so to stretch out what the property has left to offer, thereby giving a little more wiggle-room for new product lines to set up shop. As to answer your question though, I'd love nothing more than to see Star Wars close up shop, but we all know that's just not going to happen.
  9. Here are @just2good's thoughts on the movie:
  10. Ah, that's alright. If anything, it makes me appreciate the set they did give us with them in even more.
  11. Well, the sequel's Tomatometer is finally up, clocking in at 90% so far. Hmmm, alright. Sounds like many of them may be making up the bulk of its summer wave of sets nonetheless.
  12. Since they've already been discussed out in open before, how prominent were these guys?
  13. Honestly, these and a few other reviews I've read don't sound that dire, as they just seem to lament that it doesn't seem to surpass the original. If anything, their praise (in varying degrees) of its sibling dynamic make me quite excited for it. Sounds very interesting truth be told! Including... ...dang that sounds awesome! Do tell...
  14. Any noteworthy standout vehicles, characters, or locations that look to have great potential as future sets?
  15. My answer to those concerns has always been to have the protagonists of such a theme be the defenders/allies of the native inhabitants in question. For instance, such a dynamic would have Johnny Thunder & Company defend/fight alongside an ancient culture's inhabitants against Baron Von Barron's conquests.
  16. As discussed elsewhere, there's always the chance one of these could show up in the sequel's summer wave of sets.
  17. Apparently, there's what looks to me to be a new hairpiece coming for a figure based upon the main character (Kazuda Xiono) from the TV show Star Wars: Resistance. It's in Black with either dual-molded or printed nougat-colored sideburns:
  18. More archetypes than the alphabet can handle eh? Sweet... Oooooh, most intriguing...
  19. Awesome!!! Presumably, will they be based on licensed properties? Heck yeah, would you look at that... ...Series N through Series S, plus an Advent Calendar! But, what's SERIES Ñ?
  20. Crazy you say? THIS IS JUST BRICKING NUTS!!! Dang, is there any chance it's inspired after this sci-fi locomotive of Peter Morris's?
  21. Something I'm particularly hoping for with the next Action/Adventure theme, is that it'll be exploration-focused rather that just being yet another good-vs-evil saga. Looking back at so many of my proposals here, the spirit of the Adventurers theme is what I aspire after the most. So, rather than taking after Bionicle, Ninjago, Legends of Chima, Nexo Knights, or Elves, couldn't the next "big bang" please take more after Atlantis, Power Miners, Pharaoh's Quest, Dino, and the such next time around? Eh, I've always found Bionicle to be more Bio-Mechanical by definition, so much so that it surpassed the "hi-tech" description. In my eyes, Nexo Knights was much more technologically inclined since it didn't quite rise above technological hardware like Bionicle had done.
  22. For instance, Speed Champions could start designing four-wide cars sold as polybags; while on the other end of the spectrum, perhaps they'll consider releasing their own annual Expert-scaled automobile each year. While both Technic and Creator each have been releasing one of such per year most recently, Speed Champions could throw their own hat into the ring by offering one modern supercar in the System-based Expert scale every year while Creator stays preoccupied with the classic automobiles. Well, no matter what new-fangled setting they come up with every year, burglary seems to be the only crime the Police subtheme preoccupies itself with. So...
  23. Hey, I think it looks pretty decent! I particularly dig those staircases, as that would've been pretty cool to see in an official set! That "Raven Hoversportscar" looks pretty cool, while the first mech in Dark Red has a unique cockpit! Aw damn, that really could've been awesome... Well, perhaps you could submit it to Ideas as an alternative?
  24. Disney's Ralph Breaks the Internet and the DCEU's Aquaman. Last year's sequel to Wreck-It Ralph kinda gave me not much more than what I already saw in its trailers, so it didn't offer many surprises. That is, save for a hilariously unexpected musical number than I can best describe as Grand Theft Auto meets Disney Princesses (sort of), so I can say it was absolutely worth checking it out for just that alone! As for Aquaman, well, I pretty much felt the same way about it as I did for its trailers. For me, I'm just not that welcoming of the DCEU's jarring change in tonal direction, but that's only in aesthetic. I thought its story was fine, one that was well structured and easy enough to follow; but, it was its all-out goofy depiction of Atlantis that I thought reeked of desperate overcompensation. For me, the film's Atlantis was the polar opposite of the DCEU'S Krypton. While Krypton in Man of Steel was novel-looking, it could've used less of a "Lord-of-the-Rings" hue, if you know what I mean. Atlantis, on the other hand, just felt like the most cliché depiction of such, being a mash of Greco-Roman ruins, Buck Rogers-like raygun zaniness, and marine life inspired design motifs. I don't know, I guess I personally prefer depictions of Atlantis suggestive of its place as a "mother civilization" so to speak, tastefully blending a plethora of ancient cultures together for a distinct look.
