  1. Nah, they're way too developed and fleshed out to be a mere prototype, as I'd figure they'd be no more than clay molds if that were the case. If anything, the mold has been developed for something else in mind, and designers working on the movie tried it out for a scraped story concept.
  2. Well, that'd technically make such a theme more of a standalone action/adventure line rather than a City-like umbrella theme. I guess you could say though it'd be an indirect successor subtheme of Racers much like in the same way World Racers and Speed Champions are.
  3. Huh. So, what do you suppose the armor molds really belong to?
  4. Over at Billund's LEGO House, an exhibition showcasing prototype builds for TLM2 displays an eight-wheeled Apocalypseburg Classic Space rover mounted by a green Classic Spaceman, though this time with the new ol' fashioned helmet mold!
  5. It seems to resemble the armor part worn by the Nexo Knights in that theme's second year, though it's definitely a different piece:
  6. Ya know, something Lego hasn't touched upon in previous action/adventure themes before is any sort of premise that sees humans and anthropomorphic animals coexisting together. While Legends of Chima is the only action/adventure theme to utilize anthropomorphic animals so far, a theme that shares more in common with, say, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in premise rather than Thundercats would be interesting to see. I haven't an idea for specifics, but you probably see what I'm vaguely suggesting.
  7. Dang, I've totally forgot about that glitch.
  8. Exactly. Eh, I do think Classic Space though leans more closely towards the realism of City rather than the Star Wars-esque fantasy of the Space Opera genre. Of course, as I've always felt that the Nexo Knights' initial vehicular color scheme took after the base hues of Classic Space's color scheme in some way.
  9. Yeah, I guess since we're on the subject of each other's tastes, I personally prefer limiting the most predominate transparent elements to the canopy of a spacecraft build. Having said that though, I wouldn't mind seeing canopies reduced to futuristic "honeycomb" porthole windows in official sets. To me, Classic Space is the original sets, while everything else (themes, sets, and MOCs) evokes them to one degree or another.
  10. That's why I feel Lego should take inspiration from Classic Space rather than directly basing a future Space theme off of it, thereby not acting as a divisive reinterpretation of the original source material but rather its own distinct theme. Like, say, spacecraft done in Dark Azur and Dark Bluish Grey with Trans. Bright Orange canopies?
  11. Hey, it's Kevin McCallister's House! LEGO Ideas - Home Alone: McCallister's House by adwind Ah yes, I remembered, though it didn't hit me until after a short time afterwards.
  12. True, though I figured that it'd be more likely to happen than its other famous NYC skyscraper neighbor, the Empire State Building, as it'd be more complex in its building techniques given the more complex shaping of its ornate spire.
  13. Check out this little animation gem from @DigitalWizards! You're quite welcome!
  14. Ooooooh, @Elysiumfountain's latest project is quite impressive! LEGO Ideas - The Oraculum Temple
  15. So, retrofuturism of the 1970's/1980's?
  16. I personally wouldn't mind seeing a revival of Classic Space, though I'd rather wish to see it incorporated into preexisting umbrella themes such as Creator for the mean time as so to accommodate something more original for the next in-house Space theme.
  17. ^THIS^ Exactly, so many here jump to the presumption that the next in-house Space theme will/should be a revival of Classic Space for some reason.
  18. Exactly, especially regarding one's expectations between the two, as I find in-house properties to be much more exciting to anticipate.
  19. Series 17's Retro Spaceman CMF (of course). For me, I admire the figure for being Lego's best representative for the retrofuturistic aspirations of the 1930's, as nothing as come closer to such as of yet!
  20. Sci-Fi Industrial Design? Could you cite some examples of such?

  22. According to @SheldonF, it's rumored to have a March release:
  23. Like the previous image, is this "leak" from Lego too? If not, you might want to remove it for the mean time.
