The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Trekkie99 replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Modular spaceships would be so lit! And if not under a theme of its own, why not at least as something like a $100 Creator set?- 991 replies

[WIP] Lego monorails. [Custom Rail Systems (CRS)]
Trekkie99 replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I've fiddled around with four wide CRS designs a little bit, but didn't get any results. Gearing is definitely the issue when trying to make such a small train. But just because I and maybe others couldn't accomplish such a task doesn't mean no one else can! So I encourage you to experiment. A three wide monorail may be possible, but you have to consider the fact that Lego battery boxes are four wide. You could however maybe use a usb battery such as one like this. -
Subnautica is popular, but is it popular enough that it could warrant a potential theme? Also I don't think the overall feel of the game is something younger kids would be interested in. However some pretty sick sets could be made from such a theme. Such as the prawn suit, the sea moth, the rocket, possibly the sea emperor, and of course the scary as heck reaper leviathan.

Epic layout!!! -
Thanks a million! I'm close to finishing my first Midi-Modular.
-
@Rufus, could you help @NathanR out?
-
Personally I think it's pretty cool, but if you wish to have it removed a Mod can most certainly do that for you.
-
I'm nearly finished with my first Midi-Scale modular which started off as this store front. I've changed a few things, added some extra details along with a second floor which will be a living space. I've decided to turn the first floor into a barber shop and added a barber shop pole*. (Can you guess how I made it? )* Pictures of the finished model we be up as soon as it's complete! Which should be soon... Cheers! LMF

That's a title! Given to you by a moderator probably because they found something you said funny or clever.
-
That's pretty awesome! Nicely done.
-
Definitely! You know it's funny, if this new system ends up stinking, we could call it "pee-yew".

I'm really hoping Lego will carry over most of the PF motors to this new PU system. Along with expanding and maybe adding a small motor. (Aka a "S" motor). great review @JopieK!

Sweet! Love the BR class 08 shunter, and this is an awesome recreation! I'd love to see a video of the on-board decouplers in action. Thumbs up!
-
Saw it at your Cantigny show. Fricking awesome! As for the trailer, it was awesome. I'm definitely hyped for this sequel.
-
Hmm... Not very promising so far... I'm really hoping we'll keep our current PF motors and their functions, as well as get a rechargeable battery box. Because this system is Bluetooth, I'm not upset that I need a different remote for each battery box. A custom app (or the official one) can easily solve the issue I'm sure.

[WIP] Lego monorails. [Custom Rail Systems (CRS)]

Awesome layout @djm! -
Was searching around on Flickr and under "Lego mini scale" I found this. I did find quite a few results under "mini scale", but the search was crowded with a lot non-midi scale models. PS. I'm finally getting around to finishing my first modular. It's not going to be anything spectacular, but hopefully it will be a start towards improvement.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it. I first made this model back in 2014, and overtime it has gone thru quite a few changes!
-
Thank you! Let me know if you'd like more pictures of the cockpit if you have any trouble replicating it. Thanks! Yes, it's an elastic band. Just a little cosmetic touch I decided to add.
-
Yeah, when I was originally designing this model the 1x2 hinge bricks were just for SNOT building purposes, but then I realized "hey, I can make these scissors doors!".

Was snapping some pictures for a different project, and decided to take some pictures of an old MOC of mine while I was at it. Enjoy! LMF Full Flickr Album Link.

First 2018 LEGO Ideas Review Guessing Game
Trekkie99 replied to Blondie-Wan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Apparently I'm a "pessimistic party-pooper" However if I had to choose one, I'd choose the Flintstones. But I sort of feel like it won't be made. -
