    The gentle curve of the hull looks good, this kind of unconventional technique works well here.

    From I've read, these junks had flat bow and v-shaped hull bottom, the flat bow can reduce the ship's pitch significantly, though it had a negative effect on ship's speed, I haven't find any mention about leeway yet, maybe it was not so obvious when travelling at low speed.

    The second version looks nicer, but the two masted configuration of the first version looks good too.

    Fireship, it was composed of two boats, the larger one carried explosives, the smaller one was in tow, and served as life boat when the fireship is ignited. The larger one measures about 15m and the smaller boat is about 5m. Link boat, it was also a fireship, the front boat carried explosives and the crew was on the rear boat. Wheel boat, hull length: about 14m, it had four man-driven wheels. Boat with 8 oars. Dragon Fire Boat, some sort of wheel-boat, two decked, the hull is protected with cow leather or bamboo sheets, armament comprises all sorts of muskets and fire arrows. All the above junks are sea-going vessels, the book Illustrations of Ancient Chinese Boats also shows a large variety of riverine war junks, don't know if you are interested though.

    War junks, they ressemble to cogs, with their high castles built for archers. The wave breaker, also called bird boat, hull length was about 20m, draught about 1m, crewed by 30-50 persons, including soldiers. Vanguard boat, hull length about 20m,. Large war junk, crew: 100 persons. two decks, the weather deck is protected by wood boards. The Eagle boat, the hull is protected with bamboo sheets and armament comprises muskets and bows.

    Finally, the book arrived, all the illustrations used by author came from museums and were ancient paintings, so they should be credibles. Seagoing traders, note that the square traps are not gunports, just windows:

    An impressive one! I like the tower, and the cart looks good too. The ground may look better with more brown or tan plates, but that's a minor detail. Nice build overall.

    The red carpet looks good, at first glimpse I thought the red parts were lobsters.

    That's original, I like the use of rowboats. Have you thought about the new haitian boat of this year? From the Disney series I remember, it may be worthy trying if you are interested in indigenous boats.

    Arrrgh, ironically, I don't know much about Chinese junks neither, you got some nice pictures here, but except that castle like ship, which is a fluvial war junk in the 6th century, all the others are cargo ships. In fact, purposely built warships were rare, merchantmen of different sizes were frequently used in warfare operations and due to the fragility of their hull, junks can't carry heavy guns along the deck, they had bow and stern chasers, and multiple swivels on larboard and starboard. I've ordered a book on ancient junks and when it arrives, I'll be able to share some pics here.

    What caught immediately my attention is the brick built baseplate, way better than the moulded one. The tan house looks good, and the white bunker is nicely built too.
