  1. No idea, Flickr is no longer accessible to me, luckily there are lot of skilled shipwrights here, I'm sure you'll have better advices from them.
  2. I don't know how you've built the hull, if it's built with bricks piled vertically, you may use curved and slope bricks attached horizontally (snot) to achieve an elliptical form.
  3. A fortified lighthouse, licensed as medium commerce.
  4. Nice looking little build, and interesting technique to build a canoe, I also how you've filled the scene with nice details, such as the crossbow and the swivel gun.
  5. Very nice little boat, I like the nicely shaped hull, especially the bow section. Nice presentation as well.
  6. Hmmm, concerning the maneouvrability, it may be interesting to note that due to their rigid sails, rigging and hull shaple, the junks were in fact slower than galleons. In a naval engagement opposing them to 18/19th centuries Sotls or firgates, the junks will be outmaneuvred and shoot to smithereens one by one as sitting ducks. The european ships had better sailing ability, better trained crew and, no less important, much better armament. The sole advantage of the junks may be their low silouhette, making them less easier to spot. The only way the Lotii could win this, would be an immense advantage in number, something like 10:1, or hoping that they have more men than bullets. That's what happened in the Opium wars, the Manchus were literally slaughtered on every battlefield. But since we are in the Bobs, I guess there must be some magic effect in it.
  7. I like the build, it's a simple and effective way to present a camping scene. Didn't know that Ice planet guy was a Corrie.
  8. That surgeon's kit! Nicely done professor. The academie and the interior scene look good too. Can you remind me when this happened, I may need to flash it out from time to time.
  9. I applaud the idea of assimilating natives' gods with Halosian ones. The underwater scene looks good, I like how you've attached the fishes with clips. They seamlessly blend into the background, giving an impression that the fishes were actually floating on air.
  10. I like the rigging, the sails look good too. The bow may need a few improvement, though it's hard to achieve with hinges at this scale, maybe you could try with some curved bricks to shape the bow. And a tiller would be more appropriate for a boat of this size, it's just a minor detail. Keep building!
  11. Nice scene, I like how large the build looks, the beach is filled with palm trees, as we may expect from builds depicting tropical regions.
  12. That insect looks very convincing, speaking of food, I actually ate grasshopper once, fried, nothing comparable with fries, although they share some similitude shape-wise.
  13. Finally, the long awaited advertiser reappeared again, a big thumb up to the editing staff. The loss of a Corrish first rater must be a joyful news to Oleon's readers, though one may wonder how the Lotii managed to capture a such large ship with their obsolete junks, putting aside the massive firepower gap, a first rater is simply too high to board in, unless the Lotii were all acrobats. And it's quite unfortunate that the Vigilante was lost to storm, @Kolonialbeamter any thought about sistershipping it? Finally, Oleon's colonial office denies any speculation on Oleon's involvement in TV's internal affair.
  14. Excellent initiative! It's good to look back sometime. My first pirate ship, built in 2012, And my latest boat, posted in the RNTC's Terraversa Amrca thread.
  15. Some nice shots here, especially the one take from the stern, and ofc, nice ship.
  16. I like the story very much, as there are hypotheses that some of the Amerindian tribes/kingdoms may be founded by settlers of Asian origin. The build looks good too.
  17. Looks good, the added part in itself qualifies for a medium build, so it's a yay from me.
  18. Looking good, I like the use of fences on the cart.
  19. Nice build, and a large one, I like the overgrown, and the minifigs with armour torso look good too.
  20. Interesting discovery, now it's time to establish another squatter settlement.
  21. A nice build, and a great rendition to the AOE's stable, you did a good job here, it looks very similar to the original one.
  22. A neat little boat, I like the use of hinges, though I'm not sure about the plates on the bow, are those intended to be armor plates? The tower looks nice, a classic one.
  23. I like the roof, it's kind of cute, and this technique works well at this scale. Interesting story as well, though by it's addictive property, one may suspect if it's really a different kind of tea.
  24. Glad you like it, captain Braunsfeld. Thank you BD, I'm trying my hands now on these techniques to improve the look of my land based builds. Glad you that angled slope wall,in fact it's half of the rockwork is at an angle, the rockwork is in two halves and connected together with hinge plates. Thank you Pdaitabird. Thank you Darnok, there are light grey, dark grey and weathered grey from my old stock. Glad you've noticed the lantern, it's barely visible on the photo, I'd have used better lightning. Thank you capt Wolf. The sloped wall technique was borrowed from the new BSB.
  25. I do echo with the others about the historical accuracy, the buid in itself is of top quality, full of nice details. I like the story too, it's good to see scenes depicting our ordinary life.
