I like the story, the intro on the players, and ofc the build, the Mesabi landing is well portrayed here, in particular the WTC marines.

Two comparison shots between the Hussard and a smaller frigate built with prefab hull (5 midsections). The advantage with a custom hull is we can have a more realistic width/length ratio when building larger ships. But it also requires more bricks.
-
@The Neighborhood Merchant I'm glad you like it, nothing fancy with the anchors, they are just official pieces, with a few brown and black bricks. @Capt Wolf Thank you for your comment, capt, Wolf. @Fraunces Thank you Fraunces, again building large ships isn't as hard as one may thought.

Thank you Roadmonkeytj, much appreciated!

Plural! Are you insinuating that there'll be a contender to the crown?

Nice interior scene, it has plenty of nice details, while not looking overly done and crowded even with a full football team.
-
I like the beach, the transition from seawater to wet sand and dry sand looks very convincing. Nice minifigs posing too.

The captain stood towering on the quarter-deck with his gaze fixed on the horizon. He's to keep a cold and reserved appearence in presence of his crew, but deep inside, he was quite satisfied with his new vessel, a 36-gun frigate built by the Eltina shipyards. The bow is armed with 4 obusiers de vaisseaux (carronade). The bulwarks on the waist were pierced with gunports to mount 8 guns of smaller caliber. In addition to the boat stored amidship, the HUssard has also a gunboat in tow, which can operate in attack or covering a retreat. A full view of the ship without minifigs. C&C are welcome. Vive le Roi!

Looking good, the furnace is quite large, as we may expect to see in a blacksmith, and the irregular is worth to be mentioned too,

Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
Bodi replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Our good ol' Phred has done something similar with OL characters, though only a few of our members are listed there. Recurring characters of Oleon. -
Thank you Fraunces and Capt Wolf. I'm glad you like it.

Good to see Montoya in action again, though I'm not sure the guys in OL court would appreciate what he's offered to l'Olius, especially that yacht, now the king Philip is pressing our shipyards to work out something comparable. Nice buildings too.
-
A nice and clean build. I like the irregular base, the trees and ofc the oven.

Nice terrain, details such as tree trunk looks really good, and I'm also a fan of your winged hussard, brilliant use of crowbar. -
Congrats to the winners! But why I only got 30 DBs, not 50DBs as everyone else?

i see what you meant, hope I could work out a roof half decent in the next build.

Wonderful work, perfect in every aspect. The reason of lack of comments is probably we all were busying to find our jaw dropped on the floor, and there's really nothing else to do but contemplating this fine ship.
-
I had a few of those old piratey parts that I wanted to incorporate into this vig but somehow I forgot to use them when building, so I'm happy you still find it has a classic feeling.
-
Thanks captain Dee. My building skill is pretty basic when it comes to land stuff.

Looks very good, capt. I like the roof technique, clever use of leaf piece to hold the bananas, and I thought that native fellow was Tarzan.

I see, didn't know that. We need those paddings! -

A few should suffise, these racks may take more space than one may expect, and we surely don't want to sacrifice firepower over comfort, we'll need our guns to beat down the pirates. -
Lavalette, the young postman woke at the early hours as usual, when other inhabitants of the city were still sleeping. He took a simple meal composed of plain bread and coffee, put his uniform on and shut the door behind him. But today, he looked in a hurry, because in his parcel there was an urgent letter to the RNTC office, stating that a sistership is ready to sail to replace the Licorne they lost a few months ago. This post is intended to sistership the Licorne of RNTC.

@The Sarge It's not frequent to see a galley frigate in the Bobs, can't wait to see her finished. The custom hull looks very good, you are off to a good start I think. -
Interesting, another battalion. I like the ground, it's simple and effective.
