Looks nice and powerful and you have a good model that looks like the real one.

Very glaringly gold! Still it is a nice little engine and good concept of old traction engines being rebuilt as steam trains. My only concern with that is that these kind of engines they may be a bit slow. Most traction engines I've seen go only about 5 miles per hour at best.

Never heard of the game, but the ships look good although I have to admit that I'm not a fan of microscale. Maybe if this comes as a good game format though it will make a difference. It certainly does look the part. Best of luck to them though if they can get it made we will see and if the game looks interesting you never know I may buy it.

When I opened this thread i thought I was going to see a MOC one of those containers that sick people (Like me.) use to keep their pills so they know what to take each day and what time of day to take it. It would be a good idea and would look a lot better than what I have now. But on a more serious note, drugs are bad if you become addicted to them, best to give them a miss altogether and not encourage people to steal LEGO (Or anything else for that matter!) just to fund a dumb and dangerous habit.

Best Minifigure Display Cases Available?
Hrw-Amen replied to BrickG's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have made my own quite easily and cheap. I have got an A4 clip picture frame from a cheap shop. The back of the boards behind the glass on the ones I got were white but they could be easily painted. These go for about £1.00 locally. Then I have got some lengths of wood from B&Q hardware store. It is about 6mm thick with a depth of about 5cm. It is easy to cut that thickness with a Stanley Knife (I guess any sharp craft knife with do. These bits of wood can cut to the size of the A4 frames back plate. (Which should be A4 sized.) So I use the back plate as the back of the frame, two strips of wood top and bottom, two at each side and then one across the middle. I tack it all together, then I got a bag picture frame hangers and bent these into clips that attach the glass front so that it just slides in. I have two on the bottom and two on the sides to hold it is place. These are just about the right size to hold one series of mini-figures. I have then just hung them on the wall. I need to make another one now for series 11. The whole project works out at about £7.00 per case and an hour or so in time. -
REVIEW: 71002 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11
Hrw-Amen replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It is nice to see the evil black mech has the Blacktron symbols on it. I will have to get a few of these to bulk out my Cities Blacktron Cult, especially since it is Blacktron 1. They are seen as the real bad megablocks guys in my mind and in that of Dootsville Cult members. They will be sending those mechs up against the CITY Police next time they try and raid the secret hideout. I also like the cute female robot, great how they used the dials to represent her female'ness! I can't see many kids parents being happy with that and having to explain to their little ones why the robot is female! Made me laugh anyway.- 117 replies

Garmatron - A TV Series Scale Version
Hrw-Amen replied to Garmadon's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Not into the Ninjago stuff, but it does closely resemble the TV one, which can only be good. -
I was thinking the same, it looks a bit like the class 08 just a little smaller. Looks good though and the yellow is very maintenance especially with all those lights.

Congratulations JopieK, our new Train Regulator!
Hrw-Amen replied to Fugazi's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I have to agree that they seem a little lacking excitement on this forum, not really sure why? After all trains are so exciting and there are so many of them. There are also plenty of MOCs being shown and they are great quality, but i don't know it somehow lacks the style and vigor of forums like History and Action themes. I think maybe part of the reason for this is that the other forums seem to thrive on a load of official set releases every so often, whereas trains, well, we just hardly get anything, one a year if we are lucky? Perhaps that is it? Maybe we are just a bunch of old men who grumble into our cocoa every evening? Seems that I am the same, just cannot seem to get inspiration for any train builds right now. I have been scratching my head as to what to do as I feel the need for a new loco but cannot decide what I want. Anyway, no good grumbling is it. Lets hope our new moderator can bring some excitement back to the forum!- 29 replies

Trading with Farmers (built by my little bro)
Hrw-Amen replied to soccerkid6's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Nice little scene. I hope that knife is not being used to force the farmers to trade against their will? -
Have you ever had your LEGO thrown away?
Hrw-Amen replied to bgalakazam's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have not had any thrown away, however when I was 7 to 8 my pet rabbit stole some of my blue railway tracks and hid them behind the living rooms armchairs where he proceeded to chew them to oblivion before I figured out where they were going. -
OK, I voted for your Stone Henge set being British, but really I would like some serious historical sets of any sort. (Would love some Egyptian ones.) Like others have said they need some playability for kids to be interested. Have you thought about creating actual archaeological sets, I did see on your Cuusoo that you are an archaeologist? Maybe similar to Adventurers but not having them ransacking things, more methodical and respectful. It would make for great educational sets, a parent/Teacher could build a scene and tell a story from the area/era as the child (Archaeologist Mini-Figure.) dug bits up (Removed blocks.) to reveal the artefact / building / scene etc, underneath.

Got some old stuff, want to know what it is
Hrw-Amen replied to bwajfk's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That old road plate looks familiar, is it cardboard? I am sure that I had one as a kid and that railway stuff looks very familiar especially the red passenger coach and the truck using gate pieces on the sides. I would have got them I'd guess around 1969/70 as a child if that helps.- 12 replies

A great looking train. I am also not familiar with the movie, but the train is a good looking one regardless of that.

I actually thought of facing off one alien race against the other. The aliens from AC did not seem that bad, perhaps they could become allies, (sort of like a Federation/Klingon thing.) then fight the newer evil bugs together?
-
That is great, I especially like the way you have created the curve at the ends of the engine.
-
Looks like a good train, but i am also impressed by your line-side flora!
-
Wow, that is an awful lot of trains in that picture. It is too bad they are not real LEGO ones!! Interesting track, could the problem of connectivity be solved by using their own brand of curves, or do they not make curved track as well, or is it just not as good as the regular 4 wide curves?

MOC: Royal military armored train of Blackferrum
Hrw-Amen replied to MaceWindu's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Well for something so brown it looks really colorful. Perhaps there could be a little description about what some of the parts are for, or maybe what the crew are doing, who is the man in charge and so on. It certainly looks the part. I hope the people laying the rials have got their distances right otherwise it may come off the track! We would not want a disaster on our hands. -
A giant Lego minifigure standing 4,30m (14 feet) tall!
Hrw-Amen replied to apg's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Excellent! I would like to have seen that for real. I like that in your video someone is having to hold up a cable across he road for him to pass under, that made me smile. So what parade is he being used in and are there any future plans for him to make appearances in different towns, countries etc? What is the future of this man?
