  1. There goes my model! It didn’t work anyway
  2. @Brickey34Here it is! And thanks for replying! Day 1! Today was all about workshops. I attended 3: Ramshackle Style Workshop, Fonts & Lettering, and Towers and Tall Structures. Ramshackle: (building kit) This was very fun! There were many cool parts and lots of people to chat with! This was run by Flynn DeMarco from BayLUG (my lug and so is everything else) and was very cool! Here is the completed model: Fonts and Lettering: Kit pic: Not much, but enough to make some cool fonts. I did not have time to photograph it, but I will add a pic soon. This was run by Li Li and he makes some really cool fonts! Look at this: Towers and Tall Structures: The kit is GIGANTIC! It was very fun and a great learning experience! Here is a pic of the workshop (kind of) Here are the completed models: (and yes, I am aware that I placed the model upside down ) Early Setup: Here is a cool model I found that was set up early! (not mine) Opening Ceremony (sadly no pics) We got a video from Niels Christiansen! He said hi and praised us for being cool Door prizes are fun! You scan your badge at the beginning and they enter you in a raffle. Everyone gets a prize! I got a small creator set Goodie Bags!!! Each bag had one Flexo kit (add ons to Lego that are flexible), a Mixel for some reason, some custom capes, a custom printed mini figure, and some custom printed name bricks (by PromoTec) (no pics right now) I am super excited for tomorrow! See you soon! -TechnicRCRacer
  3. Hi all! I want to share an event called Bricks by the Bay located in the Santa Clara Convention Center in California. It is my favorite LEGO show of all! As of posting this, it starts tomorrow with workshops including ramshackle building style and other fun building experiences (kits are included and usually have a nice parts collection!) The next day, the real event starts! People set up their displays in a gigantic ballroom (vendors fill up a whole other ballroom) and members (who pay for the full experience) get to mingle with others, walk around, and participate in fun activities, which include building a set one-handed or in the bag, racing down slopes (Wacky Races) and Tape Ball, a fun game where parts are stuck in a tape ball and you need to rip them out as fast as you can. The next two days are public days where people come in to look at your MOCs! It is very popular (and very crowded) and it is fun to meet people who come to your stand. I will be giving updates daily starting tomorrow with lots of pictures! I will also be displaying there. P.S. I am no way connected with the people organizing this event (becides incidentally being in the same LUG) and I am just a fan! Website if you want to know more: https://www.bricksbythebay.com/en/
  4. I am not sure about the 8T gears because the DBG one has extra plastic next to each tooth to reinforce it. Try using an old light gray one instead and compare it to the black.
  5. Very fun! Maybe I will give this a try!
  6. I believe all the rings are controlled independently and are moved in a set pattern. Being a new ride for 2018, I do not know that much about it. (Even though is is near me, I do not want to puke my guts out )
  7. Very cool! I think this could do well on Rebrickable if you posted it with pullback!
  8. I want that tractor so bad! It has many parts in new colors and the reintroduction of LBG cam!
  9. Awesome, awesome, awesome! One of my favorite cars and you nailed it! Very cool!
  10. Here is the spoiler for the project. I forgot to delete the old one outside the car, but the new system is in the car already. Can somebody test-build it? https://bricksafe.com/pages/TechnicRCRacer/randomfiles
  11. Awesome review! I will be getting this set soon. I am especially excited for the new transmission pieces! P.S. The link for the 28z Clutch gear goes to the driving ring extension BL page.
  12. Cool! There is one opening soon near me called Cyborg Cyber-spin. Too scary for me
  13. Nice gearbox and very compact! Looks great for RC models! @SarielOfftopic question, but how many monorail tracks do you have?
  14. Wow, it looks amazing! The interior is great!
  15. The front looks awesome! The car has perfect shaping!
  16. Thanks! I like the color Dark Turquoise so the room is a similar color too! Haha, too late. A shelf fell a while back, but most sets have been fixed. @LvdH Wow, what an awesome collection! I sort my Technic by shape too (and I forgot to take a pic )
  17. Got a monorail track straight long piece for $10 instead of $25! Not yellowed in the slightest! @dr_spock What projects do you have in mind with the EV3?
  18. Sorry for the bump, but I want to share my updated collection: I have fixed the shelves and secured them differently with brackets and toggle bolts (I think they are called that?). The Arocs never made it out and has been disassembles, and in its place is the 42070. The London Bus is new and 8880 has moved a little. The roller coaster is awesome! Definitely my favorite set so far. the Mack Anthem is up there along with the diner. I rebuilt the old UCS Sandcrawler and won the police station from a raffle. The smaller sets are here. I have the Droid Developer Kit i got for $20 (sweet deal!) and 42077, 42065, and 42039 up there as well. These are my rarest production parts in my collection, and I have at least 2 or 3 of most of them. I look for them as much as possible! -TechnicRCRacer
  19. Looks like a lot of fun! I really like the style of the cockpit with the flex axles! Also, is there a video of the trial event?
  20. One thing about the red Porsche wheel in the manual: I think I remember TLG mentioning it as a prototype wheel in a video somewhere.
  21. They're cool. Very rare before 2018 Hah, I got the orange pins from the Throwbot right before I realized they had been re-released I like this set and I think it will make a great display piece on my shelves! I do not care much for the B-model because I never end up building them.
  22. @Didumos69 Alright, I will try it. Which link is the newest LDD file?
  23. @LvdHYes, that’s the store! I did not find the rust pins from a BL store; I found them in a bulk dump. There is a very noticeable difference that makes them a much darker red, but not like the official Dark Red color. @LeewanThanks for sharing the Flickr gallery! I wish I could find a prototype part like the 16L half beam. EDIT: WOW. This collection is epic! Someday, I will find a black U-joint with a center! @sirslayer Not mold, yellow and black plastic somehow got mixed together to make a multicolored (marbled) part. In my copy of 10261 one of the white clips is slightly marbled with black or reddish brown!
