I am still hoping that, somewhere along the line, a physical controller will be made or the original PU remote can connect to the control+ hub. I still remember those patents with the axle-hole remote input.

If I could get this, I totally would! I am a sucker for new and rare parts, and this is awesome! I spot part 15100 in yellow for decoration

Yep! These are definitely interesting pieces. I have the gears, so I can test them to see if they work with other parts. (P.S. They have round holes too)

I got the same gears in the 70828 Pop-Up Party Bus. They look useful for System building, not so much Technic...

This is an interesting topic! I always start at the back or front of the car and work my way inwards. The front and back are (in my opinion) the most important parts of the bodywork because they capture the main look of the car. Bodywork is definitely a challenge because it fills the display portion of the model, and most cars have strange angles that are hard to capture. For the most part, the combination you have chosen of panels, soft axles, and beams is the way to go. It does depend on what you want to do; soft axles and connectors is generally easier to make and still captures the form. Another major limitation is the absence of certain colors, which can either be corrected by paint (I don’t reccomend ) or substituting the part with black or white (depending on the color palette). Gaps are fine in most situations. A very good way to get the general shape of a car you are modeling is to find a picture of the side view and model off it, then overlay the picture of the model over the real car. Good luck, I am looking forward to the final model!

@mocbuild101Yup, seen the photos and that is where I got my prototypes from! I have the red beam frame and the red 1x2 beams with axle hole. I did encounter some weird parts in the wild: Pin 2L with Bush on end... in Rust! Very strange to find in a bulk used lot! If only there were transparent axles, I would be all over them! So many possibilities! EDIT: That seller has those marbled Technic beams for sale now! Maybe I will add those to my collection.

I have this set, let me know if you need any info! -
Hi again! (No, this is not a contest entry ) I have decided to actually base a model off of a real car that caught my eye in my neighborhood. Here is a photo: The challenge: Four wheel drive, four wheel steering, four-speed automatic transmission (I will figure it out or make a dummy one) and the iconic body shape and windows. Another challenge is the insanely weird proportions of the car (very long and narrow). Here is my progress so far: Driveable and steered axle with suspension. Needs a little strengthening, but otherwise works great! I will add updates soon! -TechnicRCRacer

I actually really like it! I am just starting to get into modulars (exception of the fire brigade that I got a long time ago) and this looks very cool! I am also crazy about rare colors, and those dark orange bricks and the sand blue windows will be awesome!

Awesome! Great job keeping the hoses out of the way too! I haven’t noticed it before, but do you have a green screen?
