This looks stunning! Loving the bright and vibrant colours, the small details and the overall feeling are just perfect! Would fit right into the Caribbean islands! ^^

Impressive galleon! Definitely an improvement over your last iteration! Still hoping that one day you'll build one of your ships with real bricks though! :P

[COR-FB] A Game of Fetch, Altonia

Whenever I think "He can't come up with something to surprise me anymore", he manages to do so! That brick-built saddle, damn, what can I say... Amazingly well done! The figures are really good looking too, I saw you remove the print on them on FB, and it's genuinely made me look different at some figures, to see if maybe I could potentially do that in the future too... All in all, an excellent looking build! -

That's amazing, thank you! If I ever get to building something Asian themed, I'm definitely using this design! :D -

An excellent looking log cabin, one of the few good ones I've seen so far! The esthetics just fit really well with the terrain too! And, is that is a snake you used for the smoke plume? I really need to save that somewhere to do too! Not sure about the black curved borders though, seems a bit odd compared to the smooth and balanced rest of the build -

Woah, this looks amazing! The colours, the set-up. It really reminds me of the holiday to SEA I've never been to! However, the carriage is definitely stealing the show here! I don't suppose you got more pictures of it? It's so cute -

She may be a little chubby, but that just means there's more to love about her ;) Am a huge fan of the way you did the sectioned masts, and of a way you did the yards! I'm definitely saving this for any micro ships I'll have to make in the future! -

A beautiful looking ship! Do you intend to build her in real bricks too? Because I'm sure she would look even more impressive that way!- 17 replies

Tulips ... and sistershipping

Excellent looking scene! The coat rack is really well done, the brown frogs! Honestly that's a use I couldn't have ever imagined... And, I wonder how one plays 'chess' with only 4 units per side? I'd like to know the rules of this game ;) -

I love the way you did the ambient light, it really gives it that "underground" feeling! -
An impressive fleet to say the least! I'm a huge fan of the galleon on the first picture, it looks outstanding!

Recently an order was placed for a new ship, one to sail short distances to trade goods for the crown. After a while, the sloop "Le Petit Bleu" was finished. Down below we see her embarked at a dock, waiting for the sailors to stock her up for her maiden voyage! Le Petit Bleu OOC: This is @Ross Fisher his reward from the faction flavours challenge. As he was unable to make something himself, he gave away the license. So we all figured it would be best to use it for the faction. Anything helps with the less-than-optimal financial status ;).

"Sir, we received funds for a new church. We have made two mock-ups down in the basement. Please come and choose which one we should construct." "Ofcourse Sacha, let me have a look." Micro Churches "What do you think of these designs, Sir?" "They look excellent, however do we really have to pick one? We have two plots of land available. One plot in Nola Mar, and one in North Silitonia." "Well, we could stretch the budget and get both made..." "Sounds good to me. Let's start construction." OOC: Making pictures with minifigures is really difficult if you don't have a fancy light box and lights etc. So I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. Regarding the churches, I really wanted to establish my characters to go into the religious side of BOBS too. Spoken with Ross a while back too and I've got some neat ideas. This is also for both my micro-prizes from the Rebuilding Terraversa challenge. Going with 2x Large Arts/Culture means that once I finish my ship, I should have enough income to play even with the ships upkeep. Maybe even earn more than I lose. Anyways, I'd appreciate any feedback! Especially regarding photo-stuff... And yes, the title is a reference to "The Road to El Dorado", where the two main characters have to decide what option to take and they can't choose. :P

What can I say, it's a super cute vignette! The different shades of green against the white background, with the red uniforms as accentuating colour. It just looks very good and clean! -

Wow, this looks amazing! Whenever you think it can't get any bigger, it becomes bigger! Can't wait to see the "final" result in 5 years or so ;) -

I had never seen that image, whenever someone says "small ship" I just imagined something like Renegade Runner set. The fact that she's over 1.1kg and you can just hold her easily that's a really impressive fact, I don't think anyone thinks it isn't! Genuinly jealous that you managed to rig her so well, as its a feat I personally wouldn't be able to do, no matter how small the ship! I don't think anyone is jabbing at you. No one is saying what you're doing is bad. And yes, I got a method that works for me, which is great, and indeed, many things to improve for the next project. Honestly, communicating like this over the internet is hard, there is no tonal impression, no body language, you can't hear my voice, we can't hear yours, you don't see each others body languages. A lot of nuance gets lost via the internet. This whole conversation started due to a miscommunication on my part and we've been talking besides each other thinking we were talking about the same but weren't the entire time, I should have been clearer on what I ment from the start. I'm sorry if I made you feel unwanted, that really was not my intention. Sorry -

Thomas Waagenaar replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Luckily it does what it's supposed to do . Can't relate to the smaller vessels yet though, this is the smallest ship I've made so far that wasn't a prototype. Considering it's still standing after I bumped a pan into it yesterday... (And let's not talk about the plates over the past week, I really need a bigger dining table to construct this stuff on ) -

Thomas Waagenaar replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Well, that's pretty neat then! I definitely won't try lifting it by the masts, probably could if I sectioned her up again but she just weights too much for me to be comfortable even attempting it
