  1. The trouble with trying to do things to scale is that minifigures have really odd proportions.
  2. You seem to be having a lot more luck with the streetlights than I am. The first one for me went pretty much OK (tiny bulge in the lower section) but the second one was a disaster with the drill bit exiting prematurely from both directions. I probably got too confident after the first one (was really gentle and it took ages) and pressed too hard. Oh well...
  3. I trust you aren't including the Palace Cinema Limo in that. The wheels are really out of proportion to the rest of the vehicle.
  4. Would be more appropriate with some Coronation twin-arts and an obbo: https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-duEbG_nH9lc/WR0SGF1a8gI/AAAAAAABkFs/Z4jXNb-ylV0w29D8gKEzjIwFt2XsBUoDACLcB/s1600/The%2BCoronation%2BLNER%2BBlue%2BTrain%2BObservation%2BCoach.JPG
  5. Not random chance no, but why change it for the sake of making it different? Might as well leave the pins in the same place as the Creator Expert sets to allow people to choose to join them.
  6. 60051 has an RRP of £109. Included in the seat are a PF controller, receiver, battery and motor, each with an RRP (when sold separately) of more than £10. If the PF parts weren't included (advertised as something that can be bought separately like with the Creator fairground rides) the price point could be brought down by something like £20-£30 which would be more affordable as an entry level set. It would still be attractive to children because many (as people have said above) like having a train you can push along.
  7. Would the obvious solution to expansion packs being slow to start selling not be to release them 6 months or a year after the starter sets? I also imagine that the reason that the train lines don't sell as fast is the high upfront cost to them. Parents may baulk at forking out £100+ on one Christmas present but may be more willing to part with their money if they could do so one step at a time. I.e. just buy a locomotive (perhaps with the PF kit sold separately as per the Creator Expert Fairground to split off another of the upfront costs), Granny could buy a wagon, Aunty Mabel could buy a track pack. It doesn't even have to be all over the same birthday/Christmas. On the original topic, I'd far rather see the window packs re-released or at least available on the S@H PAB site. They would obviously need a set to warrant firing up the production lines in the first place so something that uses them in tan (just about the rarest, most desirable colour). Failing that, I'll just have to put any GWR coaches to one side and concentrate on those colours I can get hold of. I may just have to do a Royal Train to find a use for all those dark purple ones there are on Bricklink.
  8. It does still run but you have to have unbelievable amounts of money to go on. More suited to middle aged couples than teenagers. Eurostar?
  9. Besides which, his job is to manage a factory efficiently. Comparing his own products with clones is not his job.
  10. I never liked the changing of the Star Wars minifigures to Clone Wars-style.
  11. With a good aim! Quite a few railways in the UK tried this. Some looked like the above, a tank engine bolted to a coach while others looked like a coach with a chimney. The GWS at Didcot have restored a GWR example: http://www.didcotrailwaycentre.org.uk/zrailmotor93/
