  1. Are you suggesting that Ninjago should be......*gasp*......NexoKnighted?
  2. A mistake? I don't think TLG see it like that, only the 275 owners of the original lease. Lester has also been available in parts form at B&P online.
  3. Pics yes but AFAIK not box art (showing play features). 70? Yikes...
  4. "Marvellous"??? "Lovely"? Each to their own I guess but those superlatives here are a bit Iraqi Minister of Information. As a minifig, it's a bit of a disaster IMO and certainly not worthy of such a great character.
  5. So we finally get to see an *ahem* "unofficial preview" (box art and play features) of 75216 Snoke's Throne Room. August 1st release confirmed? Assume price will be in the 40-50 range.
  6. So, at this point are we writing off another large Arctic set (similar to 2014 Ice Breaker) and the orca?
  7. Something licensed to get very excited about (HP? *yawn*) Really hope they make a DB5 that doesn't cost 3 figures or much more that the F40. Personally I think they will include a minifig plus maybe a couple of Goldfinger gadgets (revolving plates, bulletproof shield and ejector seat) as they wouldn't need the 007 licence otherwise.
  8. Now available in some UK and Irish retailers, yes!
  9. Any thoughts as to when Venkman/Slimer will likely be released?
  10. Maybe it's me, but now we've finally seen hi-res pics and review of Ninjago Docks, the sense of growing underwhelment (if that's an actual word?) is complete. It's all very interesting but there's just no....well, magic there.
  11. I say this a big fan of NK, but at this point you have to wonder if it's not better to put the theme completely out of its misery. As a John Cleese character once said, "It's not the despair. I can take the despair. It's the hope I can't stand"
  12. Which part is this exactly?
  13. Hey, so someone wasn’t invited to the S18 party, but he doesn’t look too distraught...
  14. I should have added this was by far my favourite too (shades of Ewok village) and completely agree re originality. I'm encouraged by both the recent OFS and SIB models in this regard (albeit the latter getting a lot of flak for the shrinkage/compromise from original submission) both of which I never thought would get approved, particularly after the poor sale of the original Maze. Stitch would be another WALL-E and Amelia is this year's Women of NASA - both easy to green-light. I just suspect/fear Flintstones will suffer from a split-vote when it comes down to it.
  15. Just my two cents FWIW... Embraer.....nice enough but nothing special, recoloured City plane Blackbird.....too military Treehouse.....too big/expensive (and possible clash with 4000026 Tree of Creativity?) Arcade.....another modular, no precedent in Cusoo/Ideas Stitch....Disney license sorted, cute and cult character makes this a serious contender Amelia Earhart...for so many reasons (more subject than model), this will pass review and end up on shelves. Science Theatre...interesting model but limited appeal AAS....existing licence and possibly issues with size/cost BMW bike....gorgeous but again complexity/cost may be to much (also no licence with BMW in SC theme) Flintstones....lot of retro cartoon appeal points, and as a one-off Ideas, may be easier to approve in light of the (apparently even if I didn't see it personally) poor Scooby Doo theme sales.
  16. I see this repeated a lot but I’m not convinced. With the exception of the large haunted house set, the rest of the sets were literally sold out very quickly, particularly the Mummy, Lighthouse (favourite) and of course, the Mystery Machine. Also, 3 TV specials (Knight Time Terror, Haunted Hollywood, and Blow-Out Beach Bash) don’t reflect a line/theme that sold poorly.
  17. Really hoping this is the case. I guess how they'd handle it is offer the set to other TLG-friendly retailers, like Smyths in Ireland/UK who have recently offered to honour TRU rewards. Any update as the orca situation SvL?
  18. Even if th set - with orca - has been cancelled, you'd think we'll see the fig for sale as in "fell off the back of a lorry parked outside a Chinese factory"
  19. Fear the same. But isn't there still an unallocated City set number, rumoured to be a large Arctic exclusive set?
  20. I tend to avoid sets like this where my "excitement to disappointment on closer inspection" time is short. I'll probably BL the few bits that are of interest but that's all.
  21. Friend went recently and said they were about £55 equivalent. So you’re breaking even, unless you factor in the trip itself (although a “day” isn’t long enough IMO). As for resale, there’s a lot available online so I wouldn’t bank on making a significant profit on 2 spare sets.
  22. People complaining and trying to rationalise how Lego can charge such a seemingly extortionate price for this set. The answer is simple. Because they can. Whilst safely in the knowledge it'll still fly off the shelves.
  23. Nice use of light brick/x-ray on the new City hospital . Not sure yet how it compares to 41318 Heartlake Hospital in terms of interior/playability as the kids will want one/either.
  24. Ah apologies
