[Freebuild] "The Peaceful Shrub" Inn, Oxenfurt, Avalonia
zoth33 replied to Servertijd's topic in Guilds of Historica
Nicely done. I like the wooden frame work looks great. The ingots as cobblestone works really well and shows great texture. The landscaping has a lot of variety and nice colors. The roof looks sleek with the black tiles. -
Nice use of the frozen piece. Looks good in that forced perspective. I like the crack in the rock on the right unless that was unintentional. The fig looks great too.

What a massive and wonderful build. I think the color choices are fine and don't go into the realm of gaudy. I know you said on flickr you took some liberties with the colors but it looks good. Wonderfully detailed and some nice techniques used throughout the build.

[MOC] Wild West: Trouble in Vulture Creek
zoth33 replied to A_Goodman's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Great scene. Really love that old spaghetti western vibe it gives off. Love the choice of colors and the buildings look spot on for the wild west. All the figs look great too. -
[NCW] Rendezvous at Slime Bay - Enter the Algus!
zoth33 replied to Exetrius's topic in Guilds of Historica
The rock work is great. I like the arched rock with the cross on top. The addition of the trees is a nice touch of color. The boat is a nice sleek design. I like the story and It's great to see the Algus return, can't wait to see this story unfold. -
I really like this build. The detailing in the walls is great and the use of the nexo knight shield piece is nice. All of the furniture is great, the couches and book shelves fit nicely within the great hall. The use of Krackenskulls and Reinhardts helms is a nice touch. The floor layout really compliments the walls. The colors used is a great choice and the blue really pops in the floor. I love the story too, simple and well thought out. Great job all around.

I get what your saying but they would have to pick up the license to each persons brand to do so and that might be difficult.
-
Do you have any more pics it's hard to see the details. It looks great but even the photos on IG don't do it justice.
-
I see. thanks. I didn't really look into the leakers history.
-
On IG it says its peaches castle in micro scale for $170 and releases in august.

Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
zoth33 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah but that's just one out of 12 and the detail on all of the 4 we've seen looks pretty good. I think people are interested in your statement because most people complain about how marvel figs get no leg printing, arm printing, dual molding, etc. A lot of the figs in this series will have these and yet by your statement you are still not satisfied which maybe confusing people to what you are looking for in the figures details. -
I don't of anything cheap and really available right now. The CMF frightening knight with the green torso is the only one I can think of right now. Keep looking at harry potter, and the cmf's eventually something will show up.

Some people never learn. Thanks for the info I hadn't seen it yet as in the post. All aside Ninjago dragons have really been looking lately, I love the skull dragon, I like the overlord dragon, and really like the jungle dragon. I can't wait to get Kai's dragon and the water dragon both look great. -

The LOTR series is still filming no way it's out by September. I haven't heard if the Wheel of Time is done filming yet and I just looked it up and it is in post production so this might be out by the end of the year. We will have to see how the WOT works out. Hopefully the WOT will be good. The Witcher finished filming recently and won't be out till the end of this year. It does look like the Witcher will be better this season. I am also hoping the magic the gathering animated series is good. Hopefully with the popularity of fantasy Lego looks into making some new fantasy themes other than HP and SW.

They usually come back in stock around 10-11pm at night. It was usually on thursdays but sometimes it has been different days. You just have to keep checking. I think what he is trying to say is just wait and see what they do with the show and not assume it's going full on GOT. We will just have to wait till a trailer comes out to even get a good feel about how it's going to look. All this speculation is pointless until we have actual footage or photos. I for one am hoping the show is good. I also would like to see more middle earth sets though that would be great.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
zoth33 replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Same here but I still haven't received my animals yet. Hopefully they come tomorrow. But it says it shipped already so that can't be the issue. Nice one -
Is the tree made up of all Bionicle pieces? Great design, the fig reminds me of Anime. Wonderful job overall.

I just got my order but have yet to try the white swords with the witch king from the Hobbit sets. Thanks for answering I was just wondering what other people do to get figs, parts, etc. I will try soon to get a pic out.

I get what your saying. As a AFOL in my 40's I used to be into sci-fi and castle mainly when I was younger lots of castle and blacktron, m-tron, etc. Now I just build castle or fantasy/castle. It's just what I prefer to build now. And It is really what I like to watch on TV like vikings, LOTR, the witcher, GOT, knightfall, etc. Of course I would love to build some new castles and get new figs but what we have are black falcons and the blacksmith and the 3in1 and they are great sets. I have the blacksmith. waiting to get the 3in1 here in the usa. To your point that you like to build just castle like myself, I have personally found several themes with parts and especially figs that I can use for my armies and generic figs. For example I have an army of sea elves using the Atlantean guards from aquaman and parts from lotr. Also recently the Ninjago fantasy wave with the skull dragon was fantastic for me as the dragon is great and the figs had alot of great parts. Also @DaleDVM do you use bricks and pieces for castle parts they have everything you need for castle parts and you don't have to buy the sets if you don't want? Just curious because I'm always finding figs and parts in new sets that I can use even the friends line has some pieces that I use. I just find whatever I can and fit it into my castle/fantasy setting. I even used the Sakaraan from Guardians of the Galaxy for custom demons. Lego has so many good parts for customization and MOCing. I even find the green goblin from spiderman to fit in with my goblins. The new ninjago snakes are being used in a army I have right now with mummies and a custom lord using Loki's horned helm. Also @DaleDVM do you also find bricklink useful? I'm always curious because it sounds like you just buy sets and build up your collection that way when there are other avenues to increase your pieces for castle and figs. Your not the only one that says that you only buy castle sets to build your armies, and pieces, just curious why if that is the case? Even now the Harry potter chess set has some great helms and weapons for castle fans.

Nice design. I like the combination of the wood work and stone work. I like the look of the roof with the claw/rock piece, really works well here. The use of the different plant pieces is a nice detail. I like the fact that it opens up and the interior looks great.
