Very nice texturing with all the plates and tiles. I like the roof on the tower with the spear tip sticking out at the top. I like the color choices on the base. Nice build.
-
Some great color choices here. I really like the water and waterfall. The landscaping is nicely layered and I like the use of the dark brown slopes. The fortress looks like it would be hard to take over. Nice build overall.
-
This is very nice. I like the irregular shape of the fortress. The statue in the front is great. Some nice texturing and I like the way you used the big corner panels. The towers and the buildings look good.

[Freebuild] Embervale Advent Calendar 2021 - Heroic Fantasy
zoth33 replied to Aurore's topic in Guilds of Historica
You've done a great job again with all of these. The lich King is excellent. Nice use of the chitauri head. The use of the fig from the lego games set in the goblin idol is a nice touch too. Alda looks great too, nice use of that hair piece.- 143 replies

[Minifigs] Dark Elves Royalty (Chronicles of Embervale Digression #1)
zoth33 replied to Aurore's topic in Guilds of Historica
Some really great figs here. I also like to use shuri's torso for elves, it's works very well. Wilwe the elder on the far right is that one of the eternals torso's? -
Nice build here. I like the wood work and stone work together. I like the black and red roof too.
-
Very nice architecture and I like the choice of colors here. The use of the 1x1 rounds here looks good.

Yes and the new Macaque and the new evil monkey warriors look great. Some of these torsos and legs will be quite useful too. And I like the fact that they are using a lot of gold pieces again in the wave. -
Wave looks great. I really like the red and black monkey guys. The mech is nice. Some great looking figs in this wave and some great new pieces too.

Yes it is and I really like the fig itself looks great. The snow knight looks good too. Really like the bard and the little acorn guy. Definitely getting a bunch of knights and moon warriors. -
Nice scene here. I like the castle and the colors used. The open layout gives way to easy viewing. There is some nice texturing throughout the build. I really like the stables, looks great. Good work.

Yeah I agree. I like the new black falcon torsos and legs, I've got about 25 and i got my son a bunch. I hope we get some new heraldry too in the cmf also. I really liked the frightening knight armor and torso and legs, shield was also great. Obviously a new castle or fantasy theme would be ideal for new heraldry and to army build.

That scale armor is nice and the heraldry on the dragon knights from kingdoms was the best in my opinion. Also I love the antagonists from ninjago, nexo knights, and chima. I have small factions of the lava baddies and the gargoyles from nexo knights. I have several different small factions from Ninjago some of my favorites are the fire snakes, vermillion, ice samurai and of course the oni. From chima I have some of the bats which I like the most, the wolves, and the ravens. But I also like to use the lions from chima in my lion lords army especially the fire chi suits in red with red hoods and capes for my lion knights as assassins or ranger, they look really good. I have found several uses from those 3 themes and even different figs from marvel/DC like the sakaraan, certain batman cowls, groot, atlantean warriors, etc.

Are there any real practical reasons for buying LEGO?
zoth33 replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
There are a lot of hobbies. Some more expensive than lego like building or maintaining a classic car which is way more expensive and there are a number of people who love that here in the US. It's not about the money it's about the experience and the gratification of either creating something new or building a lego model that is satisfying to people. I find building and fig creating as a mental exercise and also helps me get away from the stresses of life. Yes I could do other less expensive things but they are not as gratifying to me personally. I actually love getting new parts and trying new techniques. I also love making new figs. There is so much you can do with lego and I see it as an art form. It's fun for me and I also really enjoy seeing what other people can build. I mean playing a video game could be very stressful depending on what game you are playing. Just the other day I built the 3in1 lego creator castle one afternoon and it was so relaxing and I found myself wanting to buy more of that set to build a bigger castle. I also have fun building with my youngest son he really likes Ninjago. We both like building dragons and that also makes things fun and great to do with your kids. I guess there are a lot of other nonproductive or nonpractical things I could be doing with my money but lego is just a great experience for me anyway. -

The helmet is from brick warriors. I have several of those helmets in different colors. They do make some nice stuff. I actually have a nice little faction with that helmet in white. -
I really like the evil monkeys in the set. The set itself looks great and has some great figs can't wait to see the rest of the wave.
-
Maybe. I am really interested to see the rest of the wave now.
-
There is a pic of a new monkey kid set on IG. It has 2 of the evil monkeys in it so it's probably not Macaque, but maybe his army of minions. The set looks really good and has a minifig version of Sandy and a robot version of mo the cat. It has a great design and some interesting parts.

Nice temple. The rock work is good. The temple itself is sleek and clean looking with its structure. The intricate designs in the floors and walls are excellent and bring a nice pop of color in the temple. The bell tower is a nice touch.
-
Nice figs. Tzarina reminds me of the kislev from total war warhammer 3. I like the genie, vampire knight, grail knight, necromancer, elven sorceress, lionman merchant, and wing hussar are all very nice.
-
I need squirrels to inhabit my forests. Another dog breed is also welcomed. I am also hoping for some more colors of the small bird we just have blue and white, I would like to see red, black, yellow, grey, purple, and several other shades. Need a proper wolf not a warg from LOTR and a fox. Need more bird varieties too. Would like to see some more variations of fish also. Any type of gazelle or antelope would be amazing.

Moon warrior lets see how close to Moon Knight this one is Forest spirit sounds interesting Bard maybe a nod to Jaskier from the witcher one could only hope The snow warrior soounds good too though I hope the husky is a recolor Sounds like a great series for us fantasy/castle builders. -
You've got some fun combo's here. I like the orc farmer, the minotaur florist, the spice merchant. The wizard is really funny, reminds me of Fizban from the Dragonlance chronicles. The joke about the goats is priceless. Nice job.
