  1. Ordered mine. Thank you Walter. Now I've just got to build it.
  2. Very, very nice. I love your attention to detail.
  3. Glad you can see the pictures OK. I've still no idea why they disappereared. All being well I'll get it finished sometime this week.
  4. It's a shame that you don't make video's anymore as it'd be great to see one of this build. It's understandable though. With all the work that people put into making these great videos that inform and entertain us, having that work then stolen by some miscreant and posted as their own must be so very annoying. As with so many things now, the actions of a few deprive the many.
  5. Building something this big so quickly is an amazing achievement. I wish I was able visit one of the shows to see her in the brick but alas, that's not to be. I guess your photos will have to do. A video tour would be good. Do you have any plans to make one?
  6. Thank you Edwin. It's coming on nicely. It's going to be quite a bit bigger than I thought. Glad the pictures are showing OK now.
  7. No they just disappeared, not sure why as they were OK. Tapping Edit then Save seems to have bought them back again. Hope you can see them OK now.
  8. Three build days are covered in this update as I didn't have time to sort out the pics and get them uploaded. Build Day 11 - Todays build time 3hrs 15mins / Total build time 35hrs 15mins Apologies for the quality of some of the pictures. Taking pictures of the sub assemblies is OK but I can't take any of each once fitted as with it being on my lap tray the build's it's too big and too close to get fully in frame. At the moment I can only take them on the table which, having windows behind it isn't ideal. I'm hoping to get the shed sorted out soon so I can have a dedicated area for taking photos. Building today was pretty straightforward, the only slight problem being doubling back the motor wire through the end of the battery box. Those wires are really 'springy'. Other than that building was easy today. Today's Pictures Build Day 12 - Todays build time 2hrs / Total build time 37hrs 15mins Building today was again problem free. I managed to get what I'd aimed to build done an hour quicker than I thought it would take when planning the build last night. Today's Pictures Build Day 13 - Todays build time 5hrs 40mins / Total build time 39hrs 55mins I knew when looking through the instructions to plan today's building of the engine cover that it was going to be a long day. At first glance the bonnet seems very simple. Examine it closer and you'll see that it's anything but. It's a complicated but genius piece of design of the like I've not seen before. I had a count up and it's made from 148 parts! Building the bonnet was fine up until I came to the panels. They're not at all easy for me because of their smooth faces and curvature which makes them a pain to fit parts to and to connect to other assemblies. At least 6 times panels or associated parts found their way to the floor while I was trying to connect them. It may have taken me the best part of 6 hours but all parts were in their respective places and I had a bonnet sitting in front of me. A happier man you'll be hard pressed to find. With the bonnet fitted to the main build it's now looking more like a tractor and you get an ides of its size. Even now it has real presence. I'm really looking forward to seeing it when completed. Today's Pictures (I'd like to have taken pics during the building of the bonnet but I dropped my mobile. Sorry.)
  9. STUNNING! STUNNING! STUNNING! The details are absolutely amazing, especially at this scale. You've done an excellent job Edwin.
  10. Thanks for bringing these to our attention Jim. They're awesome and make the car look 'complete'. I think I'll have to buy me a set.
  11. Love it
  12. Excellent MODs to what I've always thought is a brilliant but seemingly underrated set. Great work. Thank you for making the .lxf available. I think I may implement your MODs on mine when I get around to building it.
  13. Thank you. I'm getting there, slowly but surely. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has difficulties with these parts. I don't like damaging parts but I'm having to replace a lot of the 18651's.
  14. Build Day 10 - Todays build time 5hrs 50mins / Total build time 32hrs Progress shown in today's pictures is made up of an hours building on the day before yesterday and (because of another cancelled hospital appointment ) 4hrs 50minutes today. The Axle Pin 3L with 2L Axle (18651) I forgot to fit at stage 188 is now in place but not before causing problems. Firstly, I don't know what this part is made from but it seems, to me anyway, as if it's a softer material than other axles & pins. Trying to push one through a part is very difficult indeed. The axle seems to really grip the part it's going through, trying to get it through a pair of thin liftarms is even harder (I'd be interested to know if anyone else has noticed this). Almost every one I've ever fitted has ended up with a damaged pin end. When I try to get it out I end up damaging the pin end even more, that's when Gilly gets called. No wonder I recently ordered 250 from Bricklink. While I'm having bit of a moan, I have another part to add to my dislike list. The Pin with Pin Hole (15100). Not for reasons like the part above but simply because it's extremely difficult for me to fit. With it being curved on top it doesn't like to go where I want it to, it can take a good 10-20mins to fit. That's it for the moans. With the exception of the above, building went really well & I feel I've made decent progress in the time I had. I'm really enjoying the build but I especially like building the sub assemblies as some of the techniques used are very interesting. The build pics
  15. Good to have you with us Cristiano.
  16. Very cool pickup. Great way to introduce yourself to EB.
  17. Thank you Alex for all your hard work making the instructions for this brilliant model and for making them freely available.
  18. Great work. It's just gone straight to the top of Jakes wanted list
  19. It makes a nice change to see something as humble as a Trabant instead of the usual supercars. Can't help thinking that this MOC will be made of better quality materials and have a better 'engine' than the real Trabbie ever did
  20. Really nice truck with impressive details and functions. Great work.
  21. Thank you Edwin. Hope the wrong BL orders won't hold up your building too much. Thank you, you're very kind.
  22. It was the Pierce Arrow XT Tiller Fire Truck by Paliason.
