  1. Great news. Let's just hope TLG have more success than other companies have had.
  2. Build Day 4 - Days build time 2hrs 45mins/ Total build time 11hrs 50mins Firstly, a big thank you to the admin staff for their hard work updating our new website. I love it's new, modern look. Today's building hasn't been without it's difficulties. Constructing the sub assemblies themselves wasn't difficult, attaching them to the main build was the problem. Fitting each proved tricky largely because I couldn't steady the build adequately while trying to get them in place. A good many attempts and a fair degree of stubbornness had each in place. Today's build pics
  3. You've made really good progress Edwin, she looks great.
  4. Thank you, you're very kind.
  5. Good to have you with us Katfisch
  6. I know from our PM's how hard you've worked to gain your qualifications and the lengths you've gone to to find employment. Whether it's at home or abroad I'm sure you'll find the position you deserve and that makes you happy. I wish you all the very best in your search. As for your return to these pages, I hope it'll be sooner rather than later. Will we forget about you? NOT A CHANCE.
  7. Astonishing level of realism and detail so much so I've just spent 15 minutes playing a game of Spot the Real Thing
  8. Thanks for the heads up about Amazon. I'd only just ordered another Claas so I can build effermans brilliant Saddle Trac. Thank you also for your kind comments.
  9. Thank you. Besides taking the photos during the build to post here I find them really good to look back on after the build. It takes around 5-10 minutes to get a decent photo (in frame, in focus & free of fingers ) which cuts into my build time but it's worth doing. When I go through the instructions to come up with a build plan it's just for the next day. I set myself a 'target' stage, one that I think I can realisticly get to, and try to work out how to best go about the assemblies up to that stage. I find planning ahead saves me a lot of time and (most of the time) lessens the likelihood of frustrations.
  10. Build Day 3 - Days build time 4hrs / Total build time 9hrs 5mins You'll be pleased to know I've not much time this evening to write my usual ramblings. I've just got time to say that today's building was problem free and all red 3L Axles were partially inserted where needed. Happy days. Today's build pics One last thing. As I said in the previous comment, I'm trying to photograph this build showing each assembly before and after attachment to the main build. This means some posts are photo heavy. If you feel that I'm including too many photos please do say and I'll reduce the amount I use
  11. I did this also but went through Top Cashback to save a further 5%.
  12. What a great idea. I don't have a clue (oh there's a surprise ) how it would be implemented but I shouldn't have thought it'd be too difficult for those with the knowledge of these things.
  13. Hi LvdH I know what you mean about having boxes of unbuilt sets on the shelf and being inpatient to get them built. The way I build may say otherwise but I'm not particularly patient so I'm eager to get through my list of sets. Now I've got the 42053, 42055 and 42056 waiting in the wings I so want to build them, especially the GT3. I've decided to build them alternating between older set & newer set so I get a bit of variety of builds otherwise I'll just be building the new sets and the older ones will never get built. Thank you for your comment re: this topic. I'm trying to photograph the build assembly by assembly, I just hope my photos show enough of the build process.
  14. Me too. I'm amazed at the speed people go from the announcing of their idea to completed awesome model. Astonishing.
  15. Build Day 2 - Days build time 2hrs 50mins / Total build time 5hrs 5mins For reasons explained below, I didn't have as much time to build as I was expecting today so not too much in the way of progress but any progress...oh, you know the rest. Today's one and only problem was of my own making. I forgot to partially insert the 3L red notched axles into the Axle & Pin Connectors Perpendicular before fitting them to the steering assembly and fitting that to the main assembly. It was a mistake I shouldn't have made as I'd read through the instructions last night to plan today's build so I knew when I had to insert them. Trying to get them in once the assembly had been fitted in place cost me well over an hour of build time. Suffice to say it's not mistake I'll be making again. I hope. Today's build pics Note below the complete absence of partially inserted 3L red axles above the yellow half bushes
  16. Looks really good, it's a unique entry. I'm looking forward to seeing the video.
  17. I've only had one days building so far and just know it's going to be really enjoyable It's good to be building something that's almost free of repetition.
  18. WHEN ARE YOU BRINGING YOUR BUILDS TO THE UK?
  19. And I thought Boeing owned those huge buildings I see whenever I look at satelite images of North West America. I now believe it to be Blakbirds secret LEGO storage site
