  1. Just ordered mine. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I'd not seen or heard of it. For those of you in the UK wanting a copy and unable to get one locally you can get one delivered to you by logging in to your PayPal account and sending a payment of £5.99 to office@ppcmag.co.uk. Don't forget to add Blocks Magazine issue 1 & your address details.
  2. Looks Great
  3. Very nice
  4. Wonderfully creative
  5. What a great entry, reminds me of the 8274.
  6. Good Morning Everyone Just a quick update to the above. As the dimensions didn't seem right, it was too narrow, the front was too long and I wasn't very happy with the look I decided to start the Cobra again from scratch. Below are a couple of screenshots of progress (such as it is) so far. Sorry the 'shots are few and not great, my son's got my laptop and these are all I've got on my iPad. Since these I've dropped the windscreen down by a tile. I've never tried building something someone else has built before and found it difficult fathoming out the techniques the builder used, especially the sills. The problem with the rear remains but other than that, am I getting it right? Does it resemble the/a Cobra? It's not much yet I know but, good or bad, I'd welcome any constructive critisism. Update 2 Just a couple of screenshots to show my method of attaching the sills. I hope they show things clearly. I’m not at all convinced that this is the method used by the builder but it seems to work OK. I’ve use LDDs Connected Selection Tool on what you see and then deleted the selection (and undone afterwards) and no pieces are left so I know everything’s connected OK but whether the build will be strong enough remains to be seen. So, here’s the question. Have I used the best technique to affix the sills? I think I’ve to remove one or possibly both of the 1x plates between the base and the gray brick with the slot as fitting the seats is proving problematic and think the extra height may be the problem. By the way, the engine is just a quickie, I’ll refine it when I know all else is OK. Also, anyone have any suggestions for better rims? I don’t really like the ones used. Would custom rims be the way to go? You can get an idea of how I’d like the rims to look from this pic. Although not the actual car this model has to resemble, it’s identical to all intents and purposes.
  7. A very warm welcome to Eurobricks Coldhand
  8. Welcome to Eurobricks Nick I look forward to seeing your completed Batcave.
  9. Small is indeed beautiful.
  10. Excellent build, glad you got the piece count down. With so many fantastic entries this MINI competition is surely the strongest EB competition ever.
  11. Welcome to Eurobricks Beck I think you'll enjoy your time spent here. Like you I'm trying to get my head round the mysteries of SNOT building techniques (with varying degrees of success). Most of my builds have been Technic so all this SNOT malarky is an alien but interesting world to this old dog. I look forward to seeing your future builds.
  12. I couldn't say it any better. Well done, it's a great little model.
  13. Not overly familiar with the original but I love these. Very clever.
  14. I've just started using Irista from Canon - https://www.irista.com - as a second backup option for my many photos. So far it seems OK. I've had no problems. It doesn't have any fancy features like some but with a very welcome 10GB of free storage (photos only at this point) with options to increase this for a monthly fee, I've no complaints. More here - http://www.dpreview.com/articles/9392035473/canon-irista-cloud-storage-service
  15. There is nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats. Kenneth Grahame (The Wind in the Willows) - A man who, like myself, would love your work. It's really good.
  16. No problem. As you say, it's a good system for simple lighting needs but understand it's got limitations that rule it out for your requirements. I wish you luck with your project. I'll be following your progress with great interest. And on that note... A statement of great generosity and proof, if ever it were needed, that Eurobricks members really are the friendliest and most helpful people on the 'net.
  17. Good Evening Edward I can't offer you any building tips or help I'm afraid but I can offer you a very warm welcome to Eurobricks. I think you'll be very happy here.
  18. Thanks to these wonderfully cute little beauties and the fact that Jake & George, after seeing them, have gone running off to count the contents of their money boxes which I happen to know are empty meaning they'll be back shortly with long faces designed to open Grums wallet, I'm faced with 2 choices. 1. Ban Jake & George from reading these pages in the interests of my bank balance 2. Get you banned from posting anything else on these pages for much the same reason Not sure I stand a chance either way! If you listen very carefully you'll hear the faint rustling of bank notes being liberated from my wallet.....
  19. Superb. Love the detail. Jake wants to know where I (note 'I' not 'he' ;-) ) can buy it! No higher praise can I bestow.
  20. Would this be any good? http://www.lifelites.com Just seen that this has been posted before http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=47347
