  1. ;-) ;-) ;-)
  2. Staggeringly good & truly, truly impressive.
  3. You've done an excellent job, it's very impressive. For the second time today I find myself using the garbage truck from Jakes 7599 Toy Story Getaway set in my comment. I know yours is 6 studs wide and the 7599 one is 10 but I have to say that I prefer the proportions of yours. Top marks also for your choice of colours. It looks great.
  4. I'd say 5 & 6 as I don't yet consider myself to have enough knowledge of the building techniques used in many of the models posted to be able to critique them otherwise.
  5. I won't pretend to know what a TIE Advanced Mobile Suit is (I'll go out on a limb and make a guess going by the names in your post that it's something to do with Star Wars?) but I flippin' love this!
  6. I really like this, I love the styling. My first thought, and I hope you don't mind, was Hansel & Gretel.
  7. Sometimes delivery charges for non UK Bricklink / Brickowl stores are much less than you think. At the risk of asking the obvious once again (sorry!), have you tried enquiring what the delivery prices would be from these stores?
  8. My daughter in law is banned from going anywhere near my models for much the same reason I wouldn't give a machine gun to a monkey. There'd be carnage!
  9. I don't know much about what might or might not be rare Star Wars parts so please forgive me if that is the case (and without suggesting what, to those who know anyway, is the obvious) have you tried Bricklink & Brickowl?
  10. Welcome Brian. You're gonna like it here. You're gonna like it here a lot!
  11. What a great idea. It looks fab. Tickets?
  12. I like it, others like it but I don't think it likes itself. It looks very unhappy!
  13. If the front fenders of the Merhari are going to cause you a problem how about building this, the brilliant Mini Moke. Problem solved???
  14. Really nice carry case but a tad expensive. I find this case from the 8062 set really useful when building. Gilly or Jake takes the parts from their original box and sorts them for me into one or two of these depending on set size. Being not very deep pieces are easier to find & to get. Also, the adjustable dividers and removable tray are really handy. They can be a bit on the pricy side with some people on evilBay (which, somewhat hypocritically, is where this picture came from as I have none of mine) asking stupid money, especially if they're complete with the original set but you can sometimes pick them up cheaply. I have 7 of them, mostly bought complete with the original sets parts, and all were under £15. If you're looking for a carry case and you come across one of these at a sensible price I'd recommended you buy it. If you're lucky enough to get one complete with the original parts etc., the instruction book has some natty little builds that make it, in my opinion, an ideal set for youngsters. I've given Jake one of his own and he loves it.
  15. Love this. The 'thatched' roof is genius!
  16. Good Evening Zblj I'd like to be able to answer your question but this set will be joining the rest of my growing collection (50+ and counting) two thirds of which I've yet to get round to building. A combination of me being a very slow builder and the Cobra taking up a lot of time. Once the RC gets built I'll let you know the range but I think by the time that happens you'll already have found out ;-)
  17. I like the second version, it's more like today's F1 cars.
  18. Great entry. Just had a look at Jakes garbage truck from his 7599 Toy Story Getaway set and, bearing in mind the limitations of using just Technic and the 200 part criteria, it's a dead ringer. There's been so many really great entries so far & considering there's still plenty of time left I'm really looking forward to seeing what else members come up with.
  19. Thank you. I'm humbled and spurred on to be a better builder by your comments.
  20. Just bought my 3rd 8366 Supersonic. It's missing the slick tyres and instructions but everything else is there and for £27 I'm not complaining.
  21. I love it, it's a terrific little build.
  22. This thing's awesome! I admire the lengths you've gone to to ensure it's safe transportation. I have to admit though that the last few posts though very interesting are beyond my abilities or complete understanding but I guess that's why you guys create the amazing things you do and I've only MOC'ed a wheelchair and struggle trying to get a few bricks to reassemble a Cobra ;-) ;-) ;-) Never mind, practice, besides being fun, will eventually make something akin to perfection.
