Hmmm... some posts deleted in here, eh? Seems the Mods have classified them as spam, too... @Elysiumfountain Mostly an http address in the title and some text in the body. Very easy to spot.

Always bow to your masters and never ever complain about or question a thing.... and do what you can to worship the God of Capitalism. You can't talk to Ferengis about logic, my green-blooded friend.

The http-Spam continues... Another 3 today, definitely not the last ones too

Yeah, Fair Use might be another view to the problem... Or, the non-existing problem, then :) Well, let's wait for OP to elaborate.

WTF... it's not that you're making money out of selling your MOCs or their instructions, right? If that is not the case, I wonder what the reasons might be to get this pulled by Flickr. And why Flickr is so stupid to remove it. Are those really the images of your MOCs? Is there no "Jurassic Park" sign anywhere on these models? If you have been using the "Jurassic Park" logo or it's designation written with the original Font, it might be totally legal to remove them, according to Yahoos Terms of Service, Point 6.6:

1) A lot of equipment uses the ISM Band, like Car Remotes, Garage Doors, even USB 3 seems to emit noise into the ISM-Band. However, senders and trasmitters can be built to reduce or mostly ignore interference, by i.e. channel hopping or other measures like simple filters. 2) There is a spectrum of the 2.4GHz Band which is completely license free 3) See No. 1) What I would see as the biggest problem are the different classifications and standards in regard to the ISM (or 2.4GHz) Band across countries. These can be a pain to adhere to, globally seen. In stark contrast, you're almost completely free to do with IR what you deem fit.

[MOC] Certissa town-something for holidays -3 page
Capparezza replied to Romanos's topic in LEGO Town
The Administrator will be happy about this :D Very nice scene! -
More thumbs up for this than I have fingers... To automate small vehicles or things like cranes all other motors are way too bulky.

Global Peace? Aliens taking over Earth? I am motivated to give it a try, but currently I'm in preperations of moving to a new home... might be finished in August.
-
Hm, well that's not exactly what I was thinking about. However, nice to read about your view of the problem Maybe the description behind this link explains it a bit better: http://www.wattnotions.com/low-power-magnetic-hold-and-release-mechanism/. In short: Yeah, I am indeed suggesting that introducing a third (electro-)magnet, which induces another magnetic field when under power, might be able to break the existing magnetic field of the LEGO couplers. This was just something popping into my mind while on a five minute break at work, maybe this is not feasable at all...
-
Errrmm... you posted some details way back in this thread here :) One skilled enough in soldering and electronics might be able to replicate your conversion, not? Thanks a lot for another crazy setup to watch and read about Edit: Oh, the schematics of the 9V controller might come in handy (thanks to Mr. Bellis for that one): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4430064

Sorry to bring back an old post from the crypt... but I was pondering if a solution with an electro-magnet to negate the magnetic field of the coupling might work? That way you can decouple anywhere on the layout if you mount it near your locos coupler (or even use additional battery boxes and put it on your trailers) and it would only need a power supply, no additional LEGO parts. It could even be used stationary for those who prefer a solution like the "camel hump" above. Would this be interesting enough to give it a try?
-
Well, apparently it does not work... or does it? :D At the moment, everything with Brickshelf is back to normal for me.
-
Seconded on that title with web adress in it... I can't see any legitimate use for this? Might be a simple fix to get at least a couple of days break from those spammers, if the source code is available and / or can be adjusted. But I too noticed how fast those get taken offline. Thanks for the work, Mods!

Errr.... are these 9V tracks on picture IMG_3179???? Any closeup photo by chance? That shortened white Express Train besides the old yellow Train station is nice, some hinted tunnel at the left.
-
Oh wow... that Train controller looks awesome. Which WiFi-version is used? What about the energy consumption? And is that a button for playing sounds on the lower left of the Train control panel?

Hey there and Welcome Interesting to see that you have got the same excuse to buy your LEGO bricks ... I totally swear, it's all for the children, really! Have fun and see ya around.
-
Haha, no worries You have to be either German or very picky to see it... Looking forward to your next creations, your Locos are very inspiring!
-
Very nice 6-wide rendition, good take on the shape and nice photos for comparison! I'm not German, but I can't help that I found a missing C in the models sticker where it says "Geshleppt" ... must be "Geschleppt" instead

They have a follow-up here, where one can see what has been left of the Porsche after the crash. Interestingly, not many broken parts: https://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Lego-Crashtest-Eine-Zwischenbilanz-3726903.html

Having played an hour of the LEGO Movie Game on PS3 yesterday, that instruction holder looks pretty good. Big "Thumbs up" for all of you here working on Bricksburg / Steinstadt

As c't is a German-only magazine, I suspect it may be targeted to German speaking audiences. But I bet it will find it's way to social media in time, anyhow. BTW: Can someone explain to me how to embed that youtube video? Have tried several methods, didn't work
-
Well, to be fair I posted this 1 hour earlier So by that time there was no thread over at Technic... I don't know what the purpose behind all this was, but in terms of marketing it is an interesting method to get media attention for LEGO, Porsche and c't magazine. And yeah, I can't afford one either. But however horrible it is to watch, I can't help but watch it anyway.

Hey there! Some guys on the German IT and electronics newspage Heise.de thought it would be fun to conduct a real-life crash test with the Lego Porsche GT3. I've missed the competition that came with it (the lucky winner got a new GT3 set), but the video from that crash test is now up on their page and on YouTube. It's hitting a block with 46 km/h Don't watch if you are afraid of hurt LEGO-parts... https://www.youtube.com/embed/dCPWPj4JHqg https://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Lego-Porsche-im-ADAC-Testzentrum-Das-spektakulaere-Crash-Video-3719981.html

Makes me wanna play that game, again. Thank you
