  1. I know we’ve been spoiled compared to other themes, but I feel like it’s still way too early to go full-in with nothing but remakes. There’s still plenty of stuff left to fill at least two waves I wouldn’t even mind remakes too much if we actually got something new out of them, but the likes of a Ford Anglia set just cannot accomplish that No interesting side builds, minifigs, or creatures, unless they get really creative
  2. The only reliable way to identify the figures is weighing them, the other suggested approaches (position and codes) have been soundly debunked
  3. Hooray. I'm holding back my full judgment for the moment, but now I wouldn't be surprised if this turned out to be the absolute worst wave so far. The 2021 2HY wave, while a huge disappointment to me back then for "replacing" the DH wave I was expecting, only had one remake and still featured some really good sets like Hogsmeade. Doesn't sound like the new wave will be able to pass that pretty low bar. Damn, I was really looking forward to this larger-than-usual wave! Again, not trying to jump the gun, but so far, SW and Marvel both have better-sounding 1HY waves. What happened?
  4. Forgive me for ignoring the last part and quoting you anyway Unless it’s a castle section, I’d say a remake of the Quidditch pitch
  5. @Lego_Minecraft_Goat & @Brick Clicker: I know you can’t reveal much, but is the entire wave like this or can we look forward to at least one somewhat cool set here? I’m getting 2021 flashbacks here
  6. Even then, that’s a lame set IMO. Minifig-wise, we also can’t expect much, except for younger versions of Fred and George perhaps. I know it’s just 1 out 7 sets at the moment, but this doesn’t inspire much confidence
  7. So, looks like we guessed correctly and one of the sets really is a Flying Ford Anglia on its own I hope there’s at least one interesting set among these 7
  8. That's what I would've guessed. None of the goblins seen in DH fit, and the expression and glasses are a good fit for the head goblin in PS Quite useful to recreate the scene from PS, especially since we already have the PS version of Griphook too!
  9. I already got the microscale castle last week and pre-ordered all the Ahsoka and Disney sets, so it's "just" Gringotts, the Gunship, and the Sonic BrickHeadz. Thanks to the 698 instruction booklets I scanned last Saturday, I will also get a nice discount
  10. Actually, they don’t. Plenty of negative or at least critical reviews by LAN members are out there. They’re not hard to find
  11. Sometimes it's midnight, and other times it's 1am, 2am, or even 10am. Though some of those might be specific to Central Europe
  12. And where are hopes and dreams made? Don't give them... I mean us any ideas
  13. What are we eating though? The hopes and dreams of everybody else? YUMMY I kinda hope the bike has a big silly venom logo on it. Or better yet, his giant face
  14. Next year’s polybag allegedly includes Steve and a baby panda
  15. We’re getting a Sonic polybag next year with the number 30676 No info regarding the contents, but I guess we can expect Sonic, an animal friend, plus a sidebuild of sorts
  16. The SW mechs are silly enough, but HP ones would be a new level of stupid I’d rather have a deluge of pointless remakes then
  17. Mistake?! How dare you. Dobby‘s sock is a sacred, holy gift offered to mankind by the noble LEGO gods. Not revering its glory, as we have foretold for many many moons, is nothing short of HERESY. You must be punished accordingly. PREPARE THE KRAGLE
  18. Yeah, that‘s what I‘m expecting, plus a remake or two of elements from previous gimmick sets (e.g., a DADA classroom in the modular style). Definitely remakes from the post-2018 era, as remakes of older stuff would hardly be disappointing to most people Either way, I thank the leakers for the warnings, so we can be spared from disappointment
  19. Yeah, but that‘s a bit of a moot point. The same logic applies to catalogues, posters, flyers, cardboard cutouts and other promotional stuff too. Everything any company on Earth does costs them money (unless they exploit workers), and us customers pay for it If you extend that thought, do true gifts exist at all then? Because someone somewhere paid something for it, which the recipient indirectly foots the bill for in the end
  20. I’m afraid I don‘t get the argument. GWP sets are for free, or are you implying that we pay for them indirectly via higher prices, meaning regular sets would cost less if GWPs didn‘t exist? Let‘s take Gringotts as an example. It costs $430, and the GWP is worth around $20. I highly doubt they‘re selling Gringotts for $410 in a parallel universe where GWP sets don‘t exist Or is the argument that you need to spend money, so it‘s not a gift? Well, if you spend the same money elsewhere, you don‘t get anything So it might technically not be a gift, but a bonus
  21. At $100, it‘s by far the cheapest 18+ set in the HP range. Also, speaking of age recommendations: it‘s the only 18+ set in this wave, the others are 7+, 8+, or 9+ If it‘s not the $100 set, that would mean there are two buildable objects in here, and one of them would be an 8+ set. Doesn‘t make much sense, does it
  22. Saves them a lot of inventory space. Now they only need space for storing 4 unique goblin heads rather than 6
  23. Tell that to Wong and Wasp, who are rumoured to be included in the actual set That minifig isn‘t exclusive though. The „new“ faceprint turned out to be on the other side of one of the other goblins‘ heads
  24. Surprisingly, it‘s not unique, as this faceprint is on the other side of the unnamed ginger goblin’s head in the big set Interesting how three minifigs in the set have faceprints for two different characters each (five if you count the disguised/polyjuiced Ron & Hermione)
  25. Another great Gringotts review: And another one:
