LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Practically zero, I would say. There‘s no way they‘re not tapping further into that gold mine Sure, Mando is so far the only live-action show to have more than one wave of sets, but there‘s no better candidate to follow that path than Ahsoka. It‘s like printing money! -

@cosmic: That‘s Ahsoka, not some random Togruta pilot Despite knowing some of the characters, I suppose you haven‘t seen Rebels? Lemme put it this way: there is a good reason Kanan is not featured in that set -

I wasn‘t suggesting that @Bugbot20082‘s idea included the ambush, my point was that it follows immediately after the wedding in the story I just think it‘s weird to have an AC based on a scene like that. The Yule Ball for instance was just a ball, no ensuing violence -

When you think about it, Star Wars ACs are also pretty strange. I mean, „war“ is in the title, not very X-mas-y That‘s not a slant against them though, I look forward to them every year. That said, HP certainly has more peaceful scenes that work as the subject for ACs -

Pardon my French, but an AC based on a wedding that gets ambushed by Death Eaters with some of the guests getting killed is a pretty strange concept -

Accordung to exabricks, the AT will be revealed on the 14th of November and released 10 days later There‘s almost no chance it won‘t leak before that though -

There are no giant coins in any Mario game I can think of This is a 3x3 round tile, not a 1x1 -

I absolutely love this set Piranha plants are among my favourite Mario enemies to begin with, and the execution is just brilliant! Probably my favourite buildable figure-type set they‘ve ever released besides Bowser and the large-scale Potter „minifigs“ -

A variety of prints would be nice, but they could even go a step further and mould so each one is unique Can‘t wait to see how they tackle this! It just sucks we have to wait until August at the earliest -

@wesker: There‘s a moulded ridge above the visor area on the range trooper helmet though, so there‘s no way to print on top of that. In general, there‘s no flat area on any of the available helmet pieces to print the on. It has to be a brand-new piece in my opinion @Agent Kallus: Sure, they‘re not uniform, but a BP with at least two different prints for each body part would be fantastic as you could swap pieces between them to create more unique variants -

I hope all of them make it! If I could pick just three, it‘d be Barad-dûr, the Deku Tree, and The Burrow. If it was just one, I‘d have to go with Barad-dûr, as much as I like TLoZ I do believe that was the reason. Why else was there no third wave in 2014? -

Not to harp on it too much, but they’ve not been doing that good a job lately with giving us minifigs of new trooper types. For the ST, RO, and Solo we got awesome minifigs of every new type and variant imaginable. Since TROS, it‘s been pretty dire in comparison. Mando S1: still no incinerator trooper Mando S2: got dark troopers and an artillery stormie, but no juggernaut pilots TBoBF: no Pyke soldiers Obi-Wan: no purge troopers Mando S3: no beskar troopers or Praetorian guards (so far) Ahsoka: iykyk Fingers crossed troops from the latter two shows will be covered next summer! -

It’s pretty annoying it takes them so much longer to get to the spoilery stuff for sets based on the shows compared to the movies. The new movies got BPs and more spoilerific sets a month after their release, whereas it takes half a year or longer for the shows. The ones that get more than one wave, that is. Also, why we haven’t seen a show-based BP since that 2020 Mando one is beyond me Hehe, good one That was such an awesome concept! -

For real. Sure, we get our fair share of the trio, but also lots of popular and obscure characters to make up for that The HP team is even giving the SW one a run for their money! Let alone other themes. -

Fans of other themes are struggling to get minifigs of main characters pivotal to the movies‘ or shows’ plots, while we‘re merrily discussing minifigs based on characters from deleted scenes, 1 second background extras, or characters only showing up on PAINTINGS. Gee, I sure do wonder who’s the favourite child among the licensed themes -

@Lego_Minecraft_Goat posted a preliminary picture of an old Mighty Micros set in his IG story. I highly doubt this hints at the glorious return of that subtheme, so it must be about the pictured minifigs instead. It‘s the Wolverine vs Magneto set, so maybe the latter will show up in the jet? -

BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
That‘s the same thing we thought this year, and ended up with an assortment of Batmen and Jokers Plus the Batcave of course, but that‘s a D2C. I’m cautiously optimistic, but not expecting much, to be honest. At this point, any character that isn‘t Batsy, The Joker, or Harley can be considered a win -

We don‘t actually know that yet. For all we know, some of the sets from the survey leak might only release in 2025 (or never). The sail barge definitely looked less refined than some of the other sets from that leak, but we‘ll see
