  1. It‘s not, the whip is a standard extra part It wasn‘t before, but they changed what parts qualify for extras and which don‘t a few years back. The jewel piece for instance used to not have an extra copy in each set, but now it does I wouldn‘t read too deeply into the extra hat „issue“. I doubt they‘d get rid of excess stock by giving the parts away like that.
  2. https://comicbookmovie.com/the-flash/the-flash-batman-toys-massively-outsold-the-scarlet-speedster-movies-failure-negatively-impacts-comic-sales-a205205#gs.4u0rin Also, the article just says that the merch featuring Batman outsold the other stuff, which of course doesn‘t really tell us anything about the overall sales Nonetheless, I‘m still certain the set wouldn‘t have tanked, even with Miller‘s mug on the packaging It‘s a Batmobile, you could include a buildable pile of feces and it would still sell
  3. We just had a year filled with minifig sets and there's more on the horizon next year And what about the minifig sets based on The Incredibles II, Toy Story 4, and Lightyear, those don't count?
  4. I wouldn‘t be happy with it not being compatible with the D2C sets, but better than nothing. A playset will do A third DA D2C can be ruled out I think, as the original DA will reach its EOL well before that. Eh, not enough
  5. They’re the Stormtroopers of the wizarding world, of course I want more Imagine if there was only set with a Scout Trooper and one set with a Stormie in 6 years of Star Wars sets! I appreciate the villains we’re regularly getting, but HP is probably the only licensed theme that is this stingy with antagonist footsoldiers
  6. Interesting. Then I wonder why they redesigned it, considering how similar the two versions of the Batmobile were on screen. It’s not like most people would’ve noticed a difference if they sold a repackaged Flash Batmobile as an 89 one
  7. Not that soon though. I doubt they’d want to undermine the new D2C set by releasing a more affordable version soon afterwards 2026 at the earliest I’d say. The bike would have to be quite a substantial build to accomodate Hagrid. Sure, the parts-to-minifig ratio in my previous suggestion might have been a little off, so just include the bike, some scenery, Hagrid, Harry, and two Death Eaters then Remember the 2011 Forbidden Forest set that also had Hagrid, three minifigs, and a small build
  8. Sirius’ bike with sidecar, a thestral, some road signs, maybe a part of the tunnel, Harry, Hagrid, one of the polyjuiced decoys + protector, and two Death Eaters, et voilà
  9. My point was that it likely would have sold regardless, since the build and the Batman fig were most likely identical. I doubt people would’ve looked at the original set and thought „Eww, it’s the Flash! Not buying that. Dang, I wish it included an inaccurate Joker from the 89 film instead, then I would‘ve bought it!“ Keeping the original set also would‘ve been cheaper than designing a new packaging as well as a new Joker torso
  10. One of next year‘s sets is a Pixar one, so there‘s a decent chance we‘re getting more classic Disney sets (unless it‘s based on an upcoming film) Also, the sets from the survey leak aren‘t off the table yet!
  11. Just read an article about sales of toys based on The Flash, and Batman / Batmobile products apparently did pretty well! Looks like TLG was a bit overzealous with cancelling the set
  12. That‘s certainly possible, but it‘s also thinkable the set was always intended for 2023 and the HP team simply wasn‘t aware of the dreadlock piece before it was too late Stil waiting for a Battle of the Seven Potters set. Probably one of the most obvious awesome cheap set ideas, and yet they‘ve never done it Well, except for last year‘s AC.
  13. According to @Lego_Minecraft_Goat, all three sets scheduled for October are based on Wish. Well well well, told ya
  14. Currently, there are no 2024 listings that are still unaccounted for in terms of what themes they belong to, at least as far as I'm aware. 77046-50, which are pretty close to the Indy set numbers, are Animal Crossing sets. The other unknown sets clearly belong to specific themes based on their numbers, none of which are Indy. Sure, they could theoretically have decided to go the LOTR route and give us one larger yearly set in the Icons range, but there is nothing backing this up, and it would be an extremely weird move.
  15. According to @Brick Clicker, Gringotts and the UCS Hogwarts Express switched places during development in order to avoid clashing with the Boutique Hotel. Interesting tidbit, which may explain why they introduced a new DA style just to switch back to the old one Also, that means TLG was initially planning to release two HE sets in the same year Good thing they changed things around, as Gringotts is definitely a major highlight of 2023
  16. I see no reason for them to change it this late in the product’s lifespan. It’s not like they’ll hire a replacement tomorrow and immediately insert him everywhere Either way, whoever’s gonna replace Martinet has big shoes to fill!
  17. Um, where exactly? If you’re referring to 77016-19, those sets most likely never existed. Promobricks made one vague reference to them last year and they were subsequently never mentioned again It’s over.
  18. Oh, whoopsie Yeah, I completely forgot that we got more detailed descriptions as well, I only remembered @JeanGreyForever giving us the information, not that he provided minifig lists on top of that And I still feel bad for making fun of him
  19. The Death Eater minifig included in the Gringotts set turned out to have two different mask prints on either side of the head
  20. Nope, which would be an odd exclusion. Unless they lost/broke the old mould and deem it too expensive to resurrect it The list just included Sauron, Sam, Frodo, and some orcs. No idea where that list came from though, as the leaked image certainly isn’t clear enough to make out individual minifigs. Maybe the survey included a minifig list to help participants decide on the sets’ values?
  21. @TheOGLegoGuy: It’s been confirmed that the set has been cancelled, not delayed. The theme is as dead as a doornail. Time to move on.
  22. FTFY A bunch of BTAS would sure be nice to have, but it‘s also a tad too optimistic. This is still the DC theme
  23. Exactly! Moreover, the alternative mask print stems from OotP, specifically the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, as evidenced by the picture @deskp has posted. Of course that's not definitive proof they have a set based on that battle in mind, but given the high level of screen accuracy the theme has shown so far, there's at least a decent chance.
  24. Sure, but even if they could, what's the point? Why include a character in a set based on the movies that has no movie equivalent? I wouldn't be a fan of them mixing official movie designs with something they invented themselves (or fan art) Also, it's not like there's a shortage of movie stuff they haven't covered yet. Let's focus on those missing elements first
  25. Sounds too good to be true, but we shall see. If true, it'd be quite humous how we only got 4 unique characters across 5 sets this year, but at least 3 new ones across 2 sets next year
