Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That hasn‘t been a problem for the Marvel theme though, which has been affected by so many delays it‘s not even funny Also, don‘t forget that we‘re only talking about a small handful of sets here. Skeleton Crew gets one set for its debut (that we know of), Andor will likely only get one again, and The Acolyte one or maybe two. A movie with 5-7 sets being delayed would create a noticeable gap, the shows being shuffled around wouldn‘t. -

Depends on how much the shows get delayed. I highly doubt they’d release sets half a year before the shows air And as the pandemic has shown, delaying sets is no issue to them at all, from a logistical perspective. Personally, I think Andor S2 will he delayed to 2025 with The Acolyte taking its autumn spot. Skeleton Crew I’d expect in spring -

Great video, thanks for sharing! Yeah, it’s kinda obvious it was Justin who came up with the idea to combine the vault section with the bank on top. I mean, he designed the Upside Down, so unconventional techniques like that are right up his alley George and Peter did an excellent job too! -

Besides, we still don‘t know what the delay actually looks like. I suppose the show was always intended to only have one single episode (or two at best) release this year, just like TBoBF. So technically, a delay of just one week would already warrant the „pushed back to 2024“ headline I also just read it could end up being delayed until next autumn, but I don‘t buy that -

Not how that works. Usually, they just delay sets without looking for a replacement because there are plenty of other sets on shelves already to fill that gap, especially for big themes like SW and Marvel. Having a reduced wave is not noticeable to your regular customer. Plus, none of the delayed sets in the last few years (Eternals, Shang-Chi, The Marvels, Jurassic World Dominion) have been replaced by anything. The only exception I can think of is the 2015 DC line-up that replaced the delayed BvS sets, but that was announced early enough for them to react and DC is not that big a theme, so an entire wave missing is more obvious. -

I think it also heavily depends on how much they will delay the show. If it‘s released in spring, say March, the set could be left where it is. A summer release however probably would require a delay. The set was already on shelves by the time the movie got delayed -

Skeleton Crew is allegedly being delayed, rather unsurprisingly. Hope this doesn‘t affect the set too much! -

Same. Maybe the book stack was initially supposed to incorporate the 2x2 plates, but then they were replaced with the jumper plates and there was a mixup so that both ended up in the inventory? And yeah, after completing the build yesterday, I have to crown it my favourite set of the year Rivendell is a close second -

Still in the middle of building Gringotts, and I came across two extra 2x2 plates in tan in bag 26. Doubly weird because none are required at all throughout these steps The build does require two tan 2x2 jumper plates though. Did that happen to anybody else? -

The last one was 60€ and based on PoA, so if this one’s based on the smaller PS/CoS version, I could envision it as the 38€ set Of course it could also be the 75€ set, but then it needs some pretty substantial sidebuilds. Personally, I could see a PS version that combines the hut with the forbidden forest scene, minus the unicorn corpse. Would be a nice way to get Firenze and Fang! Or alternatively, a CoS set with Aragog and a new version of Lucius. And again, Fang. -

Good luck with completing your thesis (and your defense, if you have one)! I guarantee you the set‘s well worth the wait -

Just finished the underground section, and it‘s a very fun build so far! Slotting the two sections together like those cardboard cutout trees you‘d find in a cheap advent calendar was pretty satisfying Also, I‘m quite surprised at all the elements that are covered up during this phase of the build, never to be seen again! I‘m not spoiling what they are tho And of course, turns out good ol’ Justin Ramsden was one of the designers. This guy just can do no wrong. Another masterpiece of his that has entered my list of all-time favourite sets! -

Seconded. The fact we still don‘t have a minifig of The Senate in his final form is just baffling And where‘s Babu Frik?! More ST sets would be more than welcome. -

If it‘s the PS/CoS version, I’d be cool with that! Especially if it includes Fang and Norbert. About time And yeah, a new version of Hagrid would be nice as well. The one with apron and mittens would be funny! That‘s the kind of remake I could get behind -

At my “local” store, they had around 6 copies still (plus mine in the back) at around noon No line or anything. After hearing about the website shenanigans, I‘m glad I went to the store instead It‘s 52x48x22cm. Not exactly the same dimensions, but like all large sets, it should arrive in a brown cardboard box. Even my copy from the store still had it because I had reserved it -

The holiday set has been revealed! My favourite element is definitely the Jedi textbook. Too bad they didn’t bring back the yellow 4L bar though The trans-bright green one doesn’t work. -

Yeah, no minifig. The set is branded as a Disney Princess one, so it never was going to include one anyway It’s still a neat set though! -

I'm also picking up Gringotts at the LEGO store tomorrow By the time I'll be there, there hopefully won't be a line anymore Already called them to reserve my copies of the sets (i.e., Gringotts, the Gunship, and the Sonic BrickHeadz. Already pre-ordered everything else in July) If my past self could see this, his brain would melt. I never thought we'd actually get a LEGO store in Switzerland one day -

Maybe I’m speaking too soon, but if I got a nickle for every time we got news of a disappointing HP wave shortly after I was diagnosed with kidney stones, I’d have two nickles, which isn’t much. But it’s still weird it happened twice -

I know we’ve been spoiled compared to other themes, but I feel like it’s still way too early to go full-in with nothing but remakes. There’s still plenty of stuff left to fill at least two waves I wouldn’t even mind remakes too much if we actually got something new out of them, but the likes of a Ford Anglia set just cannot accomplish that No interesting side builds, minifigs, or creatures, unless they get really creative -

Hooray. I'm holding back my full judgment for the moment, but now I wouldn't be surprised if this turned out to be the absolute worst wave so far. The 2021 2HY wave, while a huge disappointment to me back then for "replacing" the DH wave I was expecting, only had one remake and still featured some really good sets like Hogsmeade. Doesn't sound like the new wave will be able to pass that pretty low bar. Damn, I was really looking forward to this larger-than-usual wave! Again, not trying to jump the gun, but so far, SW and Marvel both have better-sounding 1HY waves. What happened?
