LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

No, the opposite actually, as the new info confirms that those six sets are all we‘re getting in January -

The fact they haven’t done this yet is a damn shame 11 sets sounds like a huge wave! Maybe they just merged it with the usual Spidey March wave -

Hooray for a January wave again, and quite a substantial one at that! -

Sounds fairly realistic, but I wager they’d replace the Jedi with a third clone (like Oddball) We can only hope, but both versions of Yoda’s Interceptor only came with him and R2. The leakers seem fairly convinced it’s Mando’s That list is awfully optimistic, I’d actually be surprised to see more than one figure in addition to Din and Grogu. Peli would be plausible! Greef and his glorious S3 drip however deserve to be in a “real” set -

I’d wager we’re looking at what would usually have been a March wave right now No way we’re getting three 1HY waves again if the January one is already this packed! The wave after that will likely be in May to coincide with the May the Fourth D2C set. -

I think it’s fair to assume that there won’t be a March wave then Unless we get something amazing in May, the “2HY sets being vastly superior” curse continues! -

Thanks to @Brick Clicker, we know what the other two sets are: a midi-scale Acclamator and a buildable Grogu + pram. Not bad, but not exactly standouts either Fingers crossed for more AAA sets (Ahsoka/Acolyte/Andor) later in the year! -

What’s interesting to think about is that Zero might have been included as an accessory for CMF Jack, had he been part of the D100 series rather than S2. The latter had no animal sidekicks, while the former had plenty Maybe just a coincidence, but I think they tweaked their approach a bit in-between the two series. But yeah, they have no excuse to leave him out of this set! We already have two ghost dogs in LEGO form, time for THE ghost dog to make his debut -

Sounds like a decent wave, albeit nothing spectacular. Ahsoka‘s Jedi Interceptor has never been done before, so that‘s a plus, but I hope for a cool new minifig here to sweeten the deal. A new ARC-170 is long overdue. Fingers crossed for dual-moulded helmets and a new/updated Jedi minifig! Home One: Good choice for a midi-scale ship! N-1: If it was Mando‘s, it‘d be kinda hilarious to see a 4+ Mandalorian set Not expecting anything new out of this one though. Now I‘m curious what they‘re doing with the March and May waves (if those will still be a thing, that is). Maybe we‘ll get a BP or two then? -

We have a rumoured set list for January, courtesy of Childish Landino on IG: 75401: $44.99, 290 pcs 75402: $69.99, 497 pcs 75403: $99.99, 1048 pcs 75404 (18+): $49.99, 450 pcs 75405 (18+): $69.99, 559 pcs 75410 (4+): $29.99, 92 pcs Interesting, if correct! I‘m a bit doubtful these are all January sets, given that the 18+ sets so far have consistently been released in either March or May The lack of a BP is also a bit annoying, but there‘s potential for other cool sets! -

The speeches are great and easily the best part of the show to me. The ensuing action scenes… are not. Apart from the getaway on Aldani and Luthen’s escape, those two are cool. The others are competently made, but that’s about it. They’re not very memorable in my opinion and there are quite a few missed opportunities. Take the bell guy for instance. He’s dual-wielding giant hammers and when a Stormie approaches him, he… kicks him. Compare that to the badass scene with the Armourer from Mando S1 And it’s not hard to see why the Mandoverse has so much more set representation than Andor. One has cool-looking characters with awesome armour, Jedi, lightsabers, droids, new troopers, aliens, awesome baddies, colourful spaceships, and classic SW imagery in general; and the other has generic-looking people in brown and tan costumes, Imperials in regular uniforms, no new troop types, barely any aliens, only one droid that sticks out, and only one interesting spaceship I still want the Fondor, but nothing else is really set-worthy. -

A lot of Ideas sets lately have been on the larger side, which has become a bit of a problem for a lot of people. In this particular case though, I’m glad they decided not to downscale it. Not only because I really like the build, but also to make sure as many minifigs as possible can be included. This will be our only TNBC set for a loooooong time, after all -
Maybe Turtle Man is one step ahead of us and is referencing the very early comics where Superman was only able to jump extremely high, before the authors decided flying works better Because otherwise, that’s one of the silliest movie takes I’ve ever heard, and that’s saying something considering we’re in the aslume here. It’s on par with refusing to watch a Star Trek movie if it’s set in outer space, a Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie if Leatherface is seen running around with a chainsaw, a Flash movie where he runs very fast, or a Batman movie where he fights crime.

Lego Minecraft 2023, leaks, rumors and discussion

I also had two copies, which was the case for another set in that wave as well. It seems like the sword is now the second Minecraft weapon to have been granted "automatic replacement part" status, after the trident At least the iron sword, that is. The diamond one in the End Ship set was not accompanied by a replacement part -

The TRON legacy set not only included a second light cycle, but two additional minifigs. The designers added Kevin's mum and the neighbour to the Home Alone set. The finalised Steamboat Willie set featured Minnie, which the submission didn't. The Yellow Submarine set had that weird little guy as an extra. The Exo Suit included two minifigs rather than just one. This may count as cheating, but the original submission of the Orient Express had no minifigs While a lot of Ideas sets end up with fewer minifigs than in the submissions (looking at you, Sesame Street), there is some precedence for figures being added, and quite a few of them being Disney ones, no less However, if Oogie's included, I'd wager he replaces one of the characters from the original design. If the choice was between Oogie and Santa, I'd go for the former, and I'd gladly sacrifice Jack in his Sandy Claws costume for Zero (even though it's technically an animal and not a figure, but one that requires a new moulded piece). If I had to order the characters I want the most, it'd look like this: Zero Oogie Lock, Shock, and Barrel Finkelstein Santa Jack as Sandy Claws The mayor Random citizens of Halloween Town Sally's omitted since she's the only character guaranteed to be included by default. No way we're getting all of them, but I could live with the lower half of that list getting axed -

I would only like to see that BP if the Army Troopers have their visors down (like the Mudtroopers in Solo). This may be an oddly specific complaint, but I don’t like the idea of Imperial troopers casually showing their faces. The anonymity and facelessness (and the fear factor that entails) are the entire point! -
I wouldn’t mind, to be honest. Even if it’s a similar concept, there are multiple angles to approach it and I’m sure it wouldn’t be just a pale imitation Besides, this film will have what that show sorely lacks: an actually good-hearted, morally non-ambiguous superhero who isn’t a terrible sack of crap That alone will set it apart! It’s my favourite sequence in that film. The Joker slowly realising that people don’t act the way he anticipated is just great, and I particularly love the scene with the big inmate demanding the detonator, only to immediately throw it out the window. Great stuff! Edit: Does anyone know why EB automatically increases the font size if you paste text? It’s been a nuisance for a while now

Those are wayyyy too long though… I think they‘ll reuse the cloth piece from the CMF series Definitely! I have no idea what to expect apart from Sally, but Zero and Oogie are a must. Ideally, we‘ll have those three plus Finkelstein, Lock, Shock, and Barrel, but no idea how realistic that is Sure, it‘s a $200 set, but we never know how generous they feel -

The Jack Skellington minifig leaked! I‘m glad they brought back the bat tie piece, and the long arms and legs work really well here The leaked figure‘s missing the waist coat cloth piece, but allegedly it‘ll be included in the set! -

Sorry, I completely forgot about it Thank you, @mark1991t, for providing a picture! -
Don’t you see, comic book movies need to be DARK, EDGY, SERIOUS, and HYPERREALISTIC. No fun allowed Superpowers? Nah. All we need is a sad lonely billionaire with parental issues dressed as a flying mammal beating up mentally ill criminals. That‘s the only valid form of entertainment …seriously though, as much as I like Batsy, there are different flavours of CBMs, and that‘s a good thing. I for one am immensely looking forward to a Superman film with actual Superman in it, rather than Sadman

That sounds like something Gunn would do The leaked costumes are a bit …questionable, but given that both of them feature , it‘s reasonable to assume there‘s a story reason for how they look here. Maybe the classic suits also show up in the movie People are already jumping the gun(n) though. We can‘t judge a movie while it‘s currently still in production.
