LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I agree with the consensus, 3 minifigs and an astromech is by far the likeliest option for the ARC-170. It‘s what makes the most sense in-universe and both precursors followed that idea The question is of course, which minifigs they’ve picked. Personally, I‘d be in favour of Oddball and two regular pilots as that‘s the most screen-accurate option -

Touché. Then again, that‘s essentially a polybag set before polybags were a widespread thing and from 2002 to boot I‘d doubt they‘d release a set nowadays with a blatant omission like that. -

Doubtful. Large sets like that have so far been limited to 2HY waves and I don‘t think they just change that out of the blue. Of course there’s nothing stopping them from doing so Not much of a lesson without a teacher, is it Unless they’re really mean and the set name refers to the lesson Draco wants to teach Neville -

It’s amazing the difference a render can make. The figures already looked good before, but now they’re even better One of my favourite CMF series they’ve ever done!- 686 replies

That’d be the first time in this theme when something gets the buildable object/creature treatment before appearing in minifig scale (ignoring the felix felicis bottle from the Hogwarts Icons set) Can’t rule it out, but I think it’s very unlikely. Fingers crossed the set is based on the Battle of the Seven Potters! They could include Hagrid with a new goggle faceprint plus a Death Eater or two -

You very likely just jynxed it There are still 3 unknown sets in this wave! That’d be stupid, because without Hagrid, it’s just a pretty regular motorbike with a sidecar Nobody would immediately recognise it as a HP set without the branding on the box. -

The sketch we saw back in the day showed the heroes duelling Bellatrix and Narcissa, with Ollivander being confused in the background A reimaging of that could work pretty well! They could also include Dobby unscrewing the chandelier, which adds both levity and a play feature -

Exabricks has been in the leaking game for a while. Recently, he was the first to report on the Civil War Airport Battle set which has since been confirmed by others. I don‘t recall him having been wrong before -

The wave is rumoured for January We won‘t hear about the 2HY for quite a while, so these all have to be part of the 1HY wave Well, Malfoy Manor is not necessarily the full building. Maybe they‘ll finally release that cancelled 2010/11 set! Either way, the two things I still wanted the most in one wave Of course Hagrid‘s motorcycle might also be based on the opening of PS rather than the Battle of the Seven Potters, but still! It‘s a win in either case -

Exabricks is teasing some news on his news channel on IG He didn’t specify whether it’s about the Burrow or the 2025 1HY wave, but I assume it’s the latter! -

I agree, these four are the main characters overall. If we get sets, I hope for minifigs of them plus Jecki and Yord (and mayyyyybe Venestra) Anyone else would be a bonus. Heck, at this point we’d be super lucky to even get these seven! Entirely skipping a new show or movie would set a new precedent, and I don’t like it one bit. We’ve seen it with other themes before and I disliked it there too (WW, Marvel, DC, and Indy primarily), but I thought SW would be safe At least one or two sets per show should always be the bare minimum! If they flop, that’s not too big of an investment. Not fond of having gaps in my collection. So weird. With the Onyx Cinder, they can at least argue that there’s no publicly available trailer for the show yet. What’s their excuse for poor Jedi Bob? -
Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

That’d be hilarious! Love that scene The Spiderverse movies have so much potential, it’d be a waste not to do anything with them! Granted, it needs to be worth the additional licensing costs* to them *If those are a thing in the first place. Some have correctly pointed out that Disney has the merchandise rights as part of the deal between them and Sony, but we don’t know any details. Then again, if TLG had easy access to the rights all along, it’s weird they’ve never to tried to cash in on the hype apart from indirect comic-based tie-in sets. -

Or it‘s a minifig rather than a bigfig in the comic-based set Fair point! Still, fingers crossed it‘s based on ATSV
