hehe I suspected you were up to something like this when you posted that (awesome) castle of yours on Flickr, glad to see you actually did it! ^^ -
awesome post! I had come across few of your builds here and there, yet seeing them all in one place and in chronological order is 'simply' inspiring. cannot wait to see what you build next!

.. O.O awesome shaping, totally in love with the windows on the towers oh and your foliage is just unbeatable, as I've already mentioned many times ^ as for your own comment about the lack of something, I might be miles away from what you have in mind, but I'll just throw my 2 cents in: an elven fortress to do with magic, right? could it be taller and slimmer? or the roof less flat? could the towers be rounded, maybe with a conical base? could there be some normal tan, maybe even withe or light bley? not sure if this helps at all, but hey, you helped me in the past, figured I could try and return the favour ^^

my my.. totally second Titus - you have managed to tease me big time!

cool stuff! never thought of it and I do have a length problem with my dialogues. I reckon I'm gonna have more than 3 characters for a while now so, as you said, can be tricky, but good that you mentioned it, I'll keep in mind. would be wonderful and definitely useful to see that writing guide, it does sound as a big deal though..

I have to second the others about the colours. I think the orange-lime combo worked well in your first build, but here is surrounded by too many others. To be more precise, I'd take off the pink, red and lavender as orange-lime already is pretty bright itself. I always tend to put in too many (bright) colours myself.. As for the rest, I quite like your writing style and enjoyed the story quite a lot. Also nice the description of the Nocturnian fauna and flora ^^ oh and btw, how do you make those little images for the figs? I very bad with softwares.. -
really nice start! (this is your start, right? or have I missed something?) actually, I'll have to disagree with the others on this one an back you up about the mixing of yellow and fleshies - I find really cool that you can find different skin colours in the same build and particularly in this little scene, as it really conveys the idea that important figures of different families/groups are gathering for something important. Same goes for the colours, flags and weaponry. all this, only if it actually was your intention to give this idea, indeed

haha nice story! ^^ also like the rounded shape for the tree. I second HQ about the leaves, I've already noticed that even with only 1 year experience: the more, the better. I'm lucky to have found a local shop selling leaves at a discount, I'm sure you can find something like that too ^^- 15 replies

en_zoo replied to Henjin_Quilones's topic in Guilds of Historica
ahhh I'm so excited! but let's go step by step: as for the colours, I have to agree with LJ - maybe bright green instead of lime? maybe just 2-3 colours for flowers + foliage? must also say, I dislike Sci-Fi, so happy to read your anti-pollution note at the beginning (was worried when saw this on Flickr..). so why am I excited? well, I'm very happy to finally see/read the second part of your story! I love the druid stone circle as well as that bit of lore behind it and, to be sure, this part: well this totally reminds me of Laesonar, indeed ^^ so yes, no idea which kind of story you have in mind and mine is far from getting to a stable point, but it smells like there's a lot of potential in the air!
