  4. hey I missed this - lovely palisade! and good to see that someone else uses dark orange in timbered builds! ^^
  5. oh my! this is beautiful. I think you've nailed the atmosphere! O.O
  6. hehe true, you've always been, thinking about it ^^ .. and LOL xDD
  7. awesome! as I said on Flickr, I love all the angles, the texture of walls and ground and the tudors! I didn't know you had a personal story - it was quite exciting reading it from the beginning and nice to know that you're keeping it on!
  8. The obnoxious Lord Raavage is tracking down an ancient artefact with which, it is rumoured, he would be able to summon endless armies of undead - he has hence the potential to crush the resistance in Nocturnus and then conquer the whole of Historica thanks to his alliance with the Algus, the Drows, some Valyrian warlord and whichever other evil creature is willing to support him. But hey, it looks like the heir to the throne of Cedrica has suddenly reappered! The man who can unite all of the Guilds against the common threat! Will the Guilds unite and fight together or will Historica fall into the darkness? You can tell us! The new challenge is open and allows you 4 months time and unlimited number of MOCs to make your story compelling and decide (after vote) the future of Historica! Buy our new product... Ahem... Build for the Guilds!
  9. hey guys, when joining few months back I've been digging into the lore and thought it would be useful to have the whole of the Algus Saga together in one place. below you can find links to all threads I could find belonging to this part of GoH's history. I've put them into chronological order, meaning that I followed the dates of posting. as a result, we can follow the story step by step, indeed, and we can also see the little map of Mitgardia at the top of each thread with the signal beacons lighting up one after the other (which I think is kind of cool ). EDIT: some threads were, however, posted at a later date, so sometimes the map in a newer thread shows less beacons than the former one unfortunately, some parts are missing and most importantly, I couldn't find the end! I figured I'd post everything out there anyways, in case some gentle souls ever feel like adding up and complete it. @admins - feel free to move/add/cut/pin/whatever-you-see-fit to make it easy to access to (new) members or so. psssst - in case someone had already done all this and I was so dumb not to realise, do let me know, but please be nice! 10. thanks John, glad to have managed with the camouflage part ^^
  11. awesome build! just love it. literally inspiring tudor - gonna need to be looking at the whole thing for a while.. nice conclusion of preludes as well - good to see Sir Burress in gold armour again!
  12. oh my! how much would I like to go for Cat C.. I reckon I'll have to content myself with a Cat B or so though.. anyhow, great job guys! really nice to leave it open - pretty stimulating! oh and by the way, is anyone here actually on Raavage's side? feels like he's just slightly outnumbered, he poor innocent creature.. !
  13. late to the party - this is awesome! I absolutely love the inward curve at the stern as well as the colour stripes. figs are really cool and the sails are gorgeous - proud to be part of Avalonia!
  14. hahaha really nice vignette and awesome story! love the spook-bird type with the female that lays a 'cristal thingy'! lol
  15. awesome! nice to see that someone else is putting a story together to get their character to the claimed Avalonian spot! I did come to think I was doing something crazy.. don't feel alone anymore! as for the ship, I think it's really neat. you normally see curves at the prow, but your way of building it really worked out! oh and as for the palette - if it's the new reddish brown that you're looking for and you happen to have some 1 or 2xwhatever old brown plates to spare, feel free to contact me to organise a nice across-the-pond exchange [just assuming that you're in NA..]
  16. ahh you really want me to try and start following you on the tudor-path, uh, Titus? ^^ No seriously, the more I see your houses, the more I wanna try myself - you've really been inspiring me with your last builds, which, by the way, look better and better every time!
  17. I love that timbered-tan part! very nice texture on the wall as well.
  18. I was amazed when I saw this build. but now that I've read the story.. ! Love all of the angles and details throughout, while the ships are just gorgeous!
  19. hehe nice the idea of the decoy. and lovely vignette too ^^
  20. lovely texture on the ground and absolutely cool figs! I must've missed out on the moustache - how did you get them up?
  21. oh I see. I had missed the LUG part.. not my case then, but thanks for the quick reply ^^
  22. hey guys, newbie here and currently living in Germany - would anyone mind telling me a bit more about this? for what I can find on google, we'd be given a sticker to put on our VIP cards and would then have a discount at the store, is this right? any ways of, for example, telling in advance what the store has in stock? anything else important to know?
  23. thanks Brandon, glad you like it ^^
  24. really nice idea and execution! love the stands
