  1. Uhmm I wanna see the clan's horses! Oh wait, they were stole/dispersed.. Next time then maybe Seriously, simple yet effective, like your other builds. I'm in love with the dock and the small cave is awesome A road would be nice. Keep it up!
  2. Thank you Ayrlego! Really glad you like the combo as well as the idea of creating a 'local' army! Thanks dG, good to know the High Lord of Avalonia approves the troops' style! Speaking of which, you're still High Lord, right? Or have I missed something? Thanks Grover, and yes, I intend to tie all Laelarielian MOCs through the medium blue.. as long as I don't get bored, that is I built this up in around 2 hours but actually had to add more green at the end else the brown troops' trouser would look seamless with the ground, so I see your point about more colours! Thank you SK, always good to hear from you! ^^ And yes, love those shields too! Thank you! Glad you like it ^^
  3. really nice vignette here, LJ. Like Nym, I was immediately attracted by the spices and I do wonder what the colourful ones might be.. I'd go and examine myself if I could! Oh and what's that cloth serving as tablecloth? It looks cool and appropriate for the purpose.
  4. Ahh so cool to hear some of you story, HQ! (I hope Galaria hasn't realised that HQ hadn't been listening.. we all know how dangerous those situations are! ) Nice that you used the same hall of that Avalonian meeting - it makes sense and it well intertwines your story with the more general one of the Guilds. As you and the others said, the lighting is awesome - I'm still struggling with photography as a whole, so I'm not even trying to imagine to work on that for now..
  5. soooo, are you the snow-master or the interior-master? or both? decide! no seriously, I love all the details as well as the activity Nice use of the slopes for the arches and using the columns is cool as it makes it look 'real', though it makes it hard to have a clear view of the whole scene. How about a bigger build? Or maybe just cutting off the front-left column, leaving only half of that arch there?
  6. Nice how you involved your new character in the scene as well as in the KaW project! I really like the cobblestone as well as the little veg gardens (including those wierd flowers on the left!) Nice use of the inverted arches at the back too. The blurried backgroud looks also cool - I did it once, but can't seem to find the option on my new phone.. I assume you've used a proper camera, though?
  7. hey nice jobe here - a real Kaliphinian feel! love the irrigation canal at the back
  8. hehe it does, thanks ^^ I thought the period had finished because I've seen the scoring together with Challenge I scoring - I'll edit my 1st post then i can't erase the 2nd one though..
  9. I thought those two builds of mine belonged to two different freebuild scoring periods?
  10. oh there we go then. Submission then. I do prefer the plural of Settlment though
  11. uhhmmm I went and checked - I completetly miseread a post of yours I did notice you stepped au as a Guild LEader indeed (which, by the way, I'm glad of ^) and thought it was strange you'd go to another Guild.. but anyways, mystery solved. Nice to know we're still on the same side thanks Muakhah, I hope so too! thank you, glad you like it! ^^ oh that's a good point about those helms, I had never noticed! I might have to rethink the whole thing.. I do like the classic chin-guard helms, yet wanted to keep them for archers.. uhmm
  12. I've already checked the thread and couldn't find it, but no biggie, I was just curious. Thanks for the other answers ^
  13. hey guys, I'm unsure about a couple of things: - can builds for HSS count as free builds for the Guild? - can builds for HSS be used for challenges on other webpages (CCC, for example)? - what does HSS stand for? Historican Settlements S...? or is the 2nd S just the plural of that? also, nothing to do with the rest, but - @TitusV awesome awesome awesome job with the huge recap
  14. nice set of minifigs and nice start for the story - looking forward for more ^ I like the lines and layers of the terrain - though very simple, I find them visually effective
  15. Not at all a fan of micros so far - you've just made me change my mind a great deal! I love how intricate it can turn even while you managed not to overbuild it and spaced apart every little section from each other just enough (love the taglines too! ). There are also some nice angles to mention and I really like how you made the stairs Also, good to read more of the story! I've been reading back what I missed over the last year, but pretty sure you hadn't mentioned so far that Henjin and Galaria.. well.. that EDIT: I missed you tasks 1&2, didn't I? Link pls?
  16. another nice vignette! very neat love how you addressed other people, let us see if they reply
  17. Go go go Avalonians! Expand the forest! And grats to @Wineyard for his victory! uhmm do I sense someone here is envious of Avalonian lead?
  18. I see, it sounds quite the job! You guys are very patient, as well as dedicated
  19. Does this mean not all free builds are scored for quality? If so, how do you guys choose? In case a Guild has more free builds than the number for additinal score, that is.
  20. Good to hear about that UFO armour - I wasn't too sure.. Glad you like the idea of the 'small' army to fit with the story - I shall hopefully expand it accordingly. Thanks for the links too - I thought you went to Varlyrio? Or have I misread/invented it completely?
  21. Thank you, glad you like it ^^
  22. I'm late to the party.. but hey really cool army you have there! I really like the banner and I must second the others about those semi-custom shileds. Yet my fav must be the armoured fauns Also, a promising start of the story with a whole, naked D&D-style group!
  23. reading this only now.. relieved to see fellow Avalonianas have nice armies ready to strike! I particularly like the idea of Fyrds being conscripted 'on rare occasions' as support militia. Also nice characters you have there as entourage of your sigfig - curious to read more about them!
  24. lolol seriously, this is glorious. the vignettes are really cool and the stories intriguing and well written. I think the family as a whole is ready for a nice start ^^
